I like George Miller's style of using wide angle shots how the camera just zooms in to the actors and the low camera angles too. He has his own style but I can see that he was inspired by John Ford, Kurosawa, and many other famous directors from the past. MMFR had 2700 cuts. The 1980s television miniseries that he had made were big hits with Australian viewers because they depicted the past in such a dramatic way about our heritage.
Honestly, the film just took me back. Miller did an amazing job on this and the film takes you on a wild ride. It was nice to see someone truly engaged with talking to the director about the process as well.
This is one of my favorite interviews with this guy. The interviewer stays out of the way, listens closely but doesn't try and dictate where the interview should go. Very well done!
Even though the discussion is about not using CGI, of course during the desert sandstorm sequence, when all hell breaks loose, and the boys are blown up into the storm, flying all over the place, with one finally shooting past Max who's still stuck on the back of the car...that's obviously not something from the "dailies". It is, however, magnificent choreography, and the most spectacular image in all of 2015's films. Or ever.

Seriously? The interviewer did a fine job. He asked reasonable questions and allowed George to talk as much as he wanted without cutting him off. He was clearly engaged and listening intently to what was being said. Maybe you have a better critique than "...not cutting it." you would like to share? The interviewer is clearly cutting it in my opinion.
Galactu5 He wasn't annoying, sure, but you can tell that he was reading questions and not having a real ''conversation'' with the man, at one point he even asks a question that was kinda responded before.

I wonder if he's aware of the old action anime loosely based on Mad Max (since he mentions the Samurai movie parallels instead). It's famous by memes, ah yes, Fist of the North Star.

Are we to only discover it's purchase after George has been buried in it? Or do we have to slip the mortician a fin? I swear the man will hit the oscar's wearing it. Why no green screen? "Because if would have looked fake!" Simple as that. I don't understand why most directors just don't get that.
