    1. For the Chicken :-
    • 1 whole chicken or 4 leg quarter
    • 1 tablespoon Mandi spice mix (or use the homemade blend below)
    • Salt to taste
    • Optional: 1 cup Tamarind(imlee)/lemon juice (for marination)
    2. For the Rice :-
    • 500g basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes and drained
    • 1 large onion, finely chopped
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 4-6 whole cloves
    • 4-6 whole cardamom
    • 2 tablespoons mandi masala & 2 glass of water
    • Salt to taste
    3. For the Homemade Mandi Spice Mix :-
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 2 tablespoons ground coriander
    • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
    • 10-12 ground cloves
    • 1 tablespoons chat masala
    • 1 tablespoons chicken masala
    • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
    • 1 tablespoons kashmiri chili powder
