- So we finally leave the town of Sapa in Northern Vietnam and decide to take the Green Bus back to Hanoi 🤨
We have heard that this service is really good and its only a 6 hour journey, so we thought we should give it a try.

OMG I feel bad laughing but this is so painful it's funny.
Looking back it is.. 😁😂 at the time, just one of those travel stories to share lol
I once travelled across the island of Flores in a cramped mini bus with goats for pillows and chickens for company. Surprisingly comfortable, if a little pongy. Of course, the other passengers and the driver were what made the trip enjoyable.
We have done similar with a smile on our faces Ed, the hosts can make all the difference :)
No way Steve. Hanoi to Lao Cai on the sleeper train. Lao Cai to Sapa on the local bus. Back the same way !!! I am very surprised they said you can't drink alcohol on the journey ??? I always have a beer on the trip. You are better off using the buses with the big and comfortable seats. You will know because the tickets cost a bit more than the buses with the smaller seats. This service may not be available from Hanoi to Sapa.
We booked on another bus service (Hanson Hai) where we could lay down flat and had plenty of room however it was double the price of your Green Bus also when we arrived at Sapa at 4am (probably because he was speeding all the way 😮) we were kicked off the bus and had to sit in the bus terminal for a couple of hours because it was raining and couldn't get in contact with our hotel 😂. Going back we went to the same truck stop didn't bother eating anything there unfortunately

Please do forgive me...but I laughed all the way through this video of your Green Bus journey. Your non-stop complaining was hilarious, especially when remembering the one and only thoroughly miserable Greyhound Bus trip I ever took. Love, love, love all your videos! Can't wait to see China.

That bus journey would have finished me, way too claustrophobic for my liking so big kudos for keeping it together and not loosing it 👍

Ha, yes I will never forget the 'sleeper' buses, I could never straighten my legs in the pods so was fairly uncomfortable. Had a good laugh with fellow passengers though.
It seems some are better Graham. So far travel in Vietnam is been a lot below par though..

I think I would have skipped that bus ride until after the restaurant opened up, at least have some grub before starting out.
I would have skipped it altogether in hind sight.. :o)
I don't think I have ever taken a bus ride for that long period of time.
I hope Sapa Green bus watches your video, they have to make changes!
Trust me, they will not make any change just because of this video clip.
If they could get a decent Driver it would be start.. Too many travellers are ending the trips in over turned buses and this guy drove way too fast when the rain was almost too hard to see the road, he was still under and overtaking everything. They won't change as Chi says but they may well be replaced..

I don’t think I would have like that mode of transportation. Nevertheless I found them on TripAdvisor, and almost all the reviews were excellent (12).
Best to always take the private van.
Sadly Trip Advisor can be poor site to find honest Reviews (not always but some times), it's too easy to fake a 100 good reviews, you don't need to have used the service to make a review. One or two of the positives aren't even speaking about this bus..
It's always a good thing to filter the negative reviews on Trip Advisor to see the true extent of the service, as a rule it takes a huge amount of effort to make a negative review, very few people do it, but if you filter to negative reviews you will see a more accurate account.. It's pretty rare for a Company to fake Bad reviews... Just my thoughts.
Sadly as I get older I need a little more comfort and I get it. I honestly don’t know how the middle rows don’t fall off. Tourist trap(ped) on the yoga bus and the driver gets free food from the riders as well as the pit stop

Possibly Maxi but in the cup holders they were far more safe from falling out than in the shallow tray, it made so little sense but then very little did on this trip LOL :o)

I have been to Nha Trang , Vietnam once. From my experience, there was no quality of service over there,full of scammers like you had. At least I will never go there again.
Just watched this and did a TripAdvisor google search and the same trip people seem to enjoy and wondering. Is it because was a few years ago? Just a shit trip? You been back since 2019. Your catagories are a bit mixed. The main list of Vietnam videos are 2019. What else has changed. Hope you’re doing well too. Been awhile since you guys stopped.
That's terrible, I think this is what they do to travelers, take advantage. Shit food and they are eating good, that sucks. Seems like all they care about is MONEY, customer service is crap apparently all over Vietnam. Remember the shop vendors on thier cell phones? Wow.. Bad
Yes Karen we are having not the best trip here this time, it could be we need a rest but customer service here is paper thin

wow. from beginning to the end the complaints piled on. I think someone was hangry. That's what it sounded like to me anyway. At the end of the day, what did you expect for $10 for a 6 hour journey? To boil down the entire customer attitude or aptitude of an entire country is very irresponsible. You really should stick to traveling in Europe. You'd be much better off. You can pay 10 Euros to go 100 meters in a taxi! It's called holiday. Chill and learn to roll with the punches. Leave the negative Nancy attitude for yard work.

I would never go to Vietnam. They are still Communist. Another Italian vlogger I was following went to the War Museum in Ho Chi Minh City and made a video. The museum is very one sided against the Americans making the N Vietnamese, Vietnam Cong looking good. I’m a Veteran and thought the video was inappropriate for all audiences. I unsubscribed.
