Have been to Hanoi twice. Hanoi, Vietnam in general, is the most fascinating place I/we have been. I absolutely love its vibe-and the food options are the best in the world.
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.

Grab is very convenient. I usually do that aswell but sometimes if it's a short, easy journey on public transport I do that and share info on the channel. Yes, I'm a Geordie, are you?. ;-)Thanks for your comment and enjoy your time in Hanoi. ;-)
Great tips. Looks like The Old Quarter is more exciting. Might need to change to Hanoi since Thailand has readjusted their COVID travel rules 24 hours ago...
@@AlwaysonaJourney wow, thanks for checking in. Really appreciate it. It's frustrating and chaotic with this change. One moment they say this, and the next moment they say another. Even though we have already paid for the flight to Thailand, we will keep our travel plan as it is. Hotel has already been booked and confirmed. Fortunately, we only pay to the hotel upon arrival. It's still early now as we are only flying off in May. I hope we can still visit Thailand 'freely' by then. It's crazy, isn't it? 🧐🧐🧐🤪🤪🤪
It really is crazy. Changing rules so often only leads to confusion. I hope for your sake and many other people that it doesn't change again. Fingers crossed. 🤞
Good job my friend, as I am looking at where to stay in Hanoi, you saved me quite some time. Great video, straight to the point. Keep doing a great job!😊
Old quater is a nice place to stay it's close to everywhere. You can get on the hop-on tourist bus to expore whole city in 2 hours. If you have time buy the tour to Tamcoc to explore the nice river and montain on the sailing boat.
Hello thank you for your information about everything in hanoi i am grateful to you, so quations is Bus number 86, which leaves from the airport, operates 24 hours a day ??(day and night).?? Thank in advance 😊
Welcome to Vietnam! Wish you have an interesting and fun journey! You can go to Ha Long and Ninh Binh, many beautiful scenes have been filmed in Hollywood movies.
Hi, great video btw 🙂 I will be travelling here with my other half and was wondering should we book hotel before we fly out OR when we get there and how many days/nights would you recommend before flying on to the next destination (Da Nang)?
Hi Nigel, it's usually a good idea to book in advance just in case immigration asks about your plans. I would say a minimum stay of 3 days is appropriate, and if you want to visit (one day tour) Halong Bay or Tam coc , you can add 1 or 2 more days for Hanoi. Have fun.
You can find many cheap option around the lake in Hanoi old quater. The ideal length of your Vietnam trip depends on your interests and time available. Here's a suggestion: 7-10 days: A good balance for exploring Hanoi and its surroundings, including Halong Bay. 12-14 days: Allows for a more relaxed pace, including additional destinations like Sapa or Hoi An. 2 weeks or more: You can explore multiple regions and have a deeper experience of Vietnam's diverse culture.
If you come from the countries that eligible for free visa you don't have to apply for the visa. There is no visa on arrival in Vietnam airport, if you're required to apply a visa you have to apply online.

The area called "Truc bach"(key word) is cheaper than the others, it's decent and affordable. You can find a lot modern place. This is the tip, stay a few nights in the hotel in old quarter then walk to this area you'll find many places.

@@AlwaysonaJourney Well in America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the EU, people like that are called immigrants. Shouldn't that apply to folks from those countries when they go to "live and work in Hanoi temporarily" or any other city/country in the world for that matter? Wink wink wink. 😀
