Tutorial - Dividing complex numbers ex 20, (7 + 4i)/(2 - 3i)

We do this by multiplying i if we have an imaginary number on the denominator and multiplying by the conjugate if the denominator is a complex number.

Ok I didn't even know the box method existed, it's much simpler than FOIL, so can the box method completely replace FOIL in all circumstances? Also I now realize what I was doing wrong, the conjugate always has the opposite sign, I was doing it with the same sign. This video was very helpful!

I use foil instead of the box method, and you are still seriously saving my ass right now. I cannot tell you how my textbook and these slides described the multiplication and division process and the convoluted formula.
