- www.freemathvid... In this video tutorial I show you how to divide complex numbers. Since complex numbers have an imaginary part which we cannot divide into other numbers we rewrite the expression by multiplying by i or the conjugate on the denominator or numerator.
(8-6i) / 3i
u taught me more than my algebra teacher, im def gonna keep watching u all the way into college lol

Ive been watching him since high school, I’m in college now! College math professors are horrible.
What are you doing now?
it’s been 4 years how u doing
that's what I am here for, don't be shy to share the love. Let me know how else I can help
i have a question sir! is -2+8i/-3 correct? or it should always be -2-8i/3???
@Uchechi Godwin-Offor yeah. you split it into two separate fractions. so (3/20) - 4i/20 which can be simplified into 3/20 - 1i/5 because 4/20 is just 1/5. And that's it.
In other words. DON'T simplify it into a decimal UNLESS the question specifically asks for it. which rarely happens.Usually they prefer it in fraction format. I hope I answered correctly. Hey, if someone finds an error in my answer please let me know! disclaimer - I'm a learning student too. :)
Your the goat

I had a similar question, which was (4+6i)/3i. Followed the same method and got the answer.
Very helpful.

Please answer but what if you could simplify further: “ like with the case of 8i /2. ? Thank you, and this was a very neat video. ( I’m gonna stay for A long time.)
i wish you where my math professor

For which grade is this taught in ur country sir?
It depends, algebra 2 can be taken in any year after algebra 1 and geometry are completed. Technically most people usually take it in 10th or 11th grade but it’s possible to get it in 8th or 9th

do you always multiply it by i over i ?
no but if you have a complex number as bi then yes, if in the form a+bi then would need to multiply by the conjugate a-bi
