    THANK YOU FOR REVIEWING THESE!!
I agree. I don’t love the texture of these products, they left my hair feeling, not straw like, not dehydrated, but just kind of… wimpy, a little bit stiff I suppose. It almost felt more greasy, but in that tacky way.
I really think it’s a downgrade from the discontinued extraordinary clay rebalancing line. I really enjoyed that set and this one is a downgrade. Maybe it would work better on someone with a bit thicker hair.
I DO NOT LIKE THE SMELL!! It’s not terrible, I guess it smells clean? But it’s very much not for me, it somehow reminds of me of the sunscreen I used as a kid and a chlorine pool.
I really wanted to like the pre-shampoo treatment, but it just felt kind of watery and I prefer the Pacifica Apple Cider Vinegar/ Rosemary Mint treatment to this one. If you’re looking for a pre-wash scalp treatment, this one is really nice and like a thin gel texture, I like it for my oily hair but I’m young and it probably isn’t for everyone. (Plus it’s cheaper for the size, but may not be as accessible. I either have to drive and hour and a half to target and hope they have it on the shelf or order it online)
But so fair I haven’t found a Walmart or Walgreens product similar that also has salicylic and glycolic acid. I’m currently using the Pantene rosmary rejuvenating scalp rinse that I found on sale, and I like it, it’s a nice scent and comes in a mist, but the ingredients aren’t really doing much. It’s honestly better as a light hair mist in the mornings for me.
I still am finishing off the shampoo, but using it as a body wash, I feel like it’s been nice with sweat and body acne this summer. I haven’t tried the conditioner.
It’s always good to remember that we do not have to buy matching shampoo and conditioner sets. These trying to do both jobs at the same time… I feel like there are TONS of shampoos that don’t even market themselves as rebalancing like this and do a better job. We can always get a clarifying/ strengthening /thickening shampoo and good hydrating conditioner.
I hope they reformulate this or come up with something different, because it really feels like they’re trying to ride the Hylaronic acid train too little too late. L’Oréal has so many more impressive products. It’s sad to see them push a less effective one so much when they constantly discontinue products that are actually perfect.
This happened to my mom years ago with a L’Oréal curl shampoo she liked. It’s very frustrating. I don’t know how they can afford to cancel new products just as people realize they like them.
This was a very long comment. Thank you if you read it. Have a great day!!

Thank you for your comment 💜 I did not realise that Loreal had discontinued the clay range... I think it might still be available in the UK but will check that out. That said I did not find the clay one to work for my hair either. I am not sure I have seen Pacifica haircare - it is not widely available here. I did really like the Hydra Pure conditioner... but prefer other shampoos. Let me know how you get on - especially if you find any ride or die haircare xxx

      I will let you know!!
There has to be something somewhere that’s similar to the Pacifica product. I’m not certain what all is available on the UK or what brands you might have specific to you.
So fair I’m not certain I’ve found any holy grail hair products. Except maybe the Eva NYC therapy mask, and the Pantene truly natural conditioning serum which worked beautifully for me as a pre and post wash oil, even though I’m not certain that’s the intended use and there are probably better oils out there. I found that one at the discount store for $2 (original price is $9) and now I’m out and can’t find more :(((
At the time I used the L’Oréal extraordinary Clay, I didn’t know nearly as much about hair care as I do now, so maybe it wasn’t actually that great.

@@JustaFairyStory I think you have hit the nail on the head there - the more you learn, the more your expectations grow. Over the past 12 months I have definitely focused more on my hair and how I can deal with the oily roots/frizzy ends situation... and I have become way more demanding of products & my expectations are much higher now. I have loads more videos coming on aspects of my hair care journey as well as my usual hair dying videos etc - I hope you like those too 💜
