I have a friend's dog for the weekend and the locate audible noise is not working like it was last time I had him. Anybody have an idea what i need to do? I charged both the collar and control unit until they turned green.
You must find your dogs working level - each dog will be different.. seeing as though you are asking this question - I recommend more study and research before you get an ecollar as any tool used incorrectly can potentially harm a dog...
The pager can be used however you think best. Personally I find the humans like it because they afraid that the stim will hurt the dog, but the dogs generally seem to be much more bothered by the pager than the stim when properly trained.
Would highly discourage people from Dogtra products. Go with literally any other brand. Long story short, my collar fried my dog without my control & customer service was like “eh, it happens". I sent in the collar for a diagnostic check & they sent it back with zero feedback and hasn't worked since they sent it back.
I got a Dogtra IQ easily 10 years ago and recharge it maybe every other day . And I have never replaced the batteries adfter hundreds of recharges. Working Level for my dogs is about 20-40 and very seldom a 'bottom button' to trigger an aversive 'sting' (I had an Innotek in 1991 when 1-button and dipswitch aversive was all that was available). I learned how to use and 'electric' collar and later an 'electronic collar' from professional dog handlers. An e-collar is NOT a DIY project and requires skilled instruction to use it correctly.
I have a friend's dog for the weekend that has an older Dogtra. Last time I could push the locate button and it would make an audible noise on the collar. this time it's not working. I charged both until the green light came on. Do you have any ideas on why the alarm isn't sounding?
Thanks for doing this, because for some reason Dogtra thinks that posting a bunch of videos with ZERO voiceover is helpful. IT IS NOT!
Great explanation. Thank you. No beating around the bush. Straight to the point and clear!
Thank you for posting. Excellent video...the best I've seen on the 1900s remote collar....including the Dogtra videos
😂Dogtra needs to just delete those and hire a dog trainer that’s good a filming and talking.😂
Any way to let an owner know if you found one of the handheld devices? Same model.
There are two buttons that you did not address. The button on the right of the face and the button below the vibrate button on the face...?
the button on the right of the remote is the on/off and the “button below the vibrate button” is not a button it is just the brands logo
What does the antenna looking dial do? Found one and was wondering if there's any way I can let the owner know I have it.
Can we keep it on the dog whole day and remove it at night when he goes to sleep
How does this model compare with the ARC 1200s sold in Europe?
I ordered the 1200s for my Malionois. Basically the same the 1900 has stronger stem. Rest all same.
I used the stimulation and after awhile went with the vibrate and it worked Well with my shepherd .
Is there a bark mode? For like when I’m gone to work and they bark at a fox in the yard. The barking upsets my neighbors.
no theres no bark feature. sport dog sells a bark version
Thanks it was useful!
The page/vibrate function is super useful. It is intended to be a marker or prepatory for correction. I used it to teach a non verbal recall.

Thank you for the best video explaning the feature of this E collar!
Hi. I'm looking at this and the 280c. My dog is 45lbs what are your thoughts on the size of the 1900s. Thank you
How do I know if the prongs are hurting him? I feel like they are just digging into his skin
You have a high semblance to sarah silverman.
Great video, thank you!
If turned to max would this stop a big dog from attacking should the worst happen.
a dog horn can help if that were to occur the loud noise distracts both dogs attention giving owners enough time to secure their dogs
Is there a remote that saves a higher charge into the nick button?
Or are they always the same intensity the nick and constant button?
my same question because both definitely how to be at different levels with my dog
What is the largest neck it will fit?
33 inches
You can always put the box on a larger collar strap. ;)
On what level should I set it for the first time using it?

I don’t know is it working 🤓😂🇺🇸
Great review. Thank you
Am I able to cap the steam level?
Nice job
Excelente creo que es un buen producto
good review. did this one have the hidden hand button or hands free button?
Thank you! This one did not.
I've had the collar for months, it's great but the fit is too top heavy and moves up on the neck a bit unlike the mini educators, opinions?
I'd recommend the e collar technologies buckle collar with bungee. It's been the most reliable collar strap for us here.
@@pawandhandk991 got a local company to make a bungee strap with cobra buckle it's great, how tight do you put your bungee collar
@@pawandhandk991 what width is the collar? 3/4 or 1 inch?
So the pager feature is just to make sure the collar is receiving the signal before you use it?

I use the pager for recall I don’t even use the shock anymore I’ve had the collar for 5 years
There's a fly in your house
They love a good dog trainer 😂

@@jeffa847 the obvious answer is to call the toll-free help line for DogTra and ask them...
Have you tested it out with your kids yet?
