    This just helped me soooo much! I’ve been binging on e-collar videos and I’ve learned so much but no one talks about what to do if your dog goes past you (drive-by) or ignores you or is not very food motivated at times, we just started conditioning and this is something that we are really struggling with! I am so excited to train my Pit tomorrow now because of this video! Thank you so much for showing a real life example of the beginning stages of e-collar conditioning! 🙏🏻💕

    Great vid man, training with the e - collar has made outings with my pup so much more enjoyable for me and my gsd mix. If he hears me getting that thing out of the drawer he starts wagging his tail and gets all excited. He knows we're about to have some fun.

    • @sarajleigh
      @sarajleigh 3 роки тому +1

      You put an e collar on your pup?? Are you kidding me?
      Why don't you guys learn clicker training? That's the best way of dog training, the e collar is pure abuse. It's even illegal in my country and about all over the world, only in the US and some other countries it's legal. But the reason why it's illegal is, cuz it hurts the dog, the dog gets fear and that's why he stops the behavior. But what you do long term is actually ruining your relationship with your dog cuz he's gonna loose his trust in you and the dog can resent you for that after some time and stop listening to you even with the ecollar on and then, the only thing you're gonna do is abusing him and not teaching him anything.
      Start training with a clicker, i could send you some videos but please try out real clicker training, you can train everything AND you're just making the relationship better between you and your dog. And not hurting him or anything else! Please try it at least, stop using ecollars, choke and prong collars, they are so unnecessary and you just don't need them, you can train everything without abusing your dog and making him fearful and hurting..

    Thank you. It's been eons since I've used one of these and I needed better directions this time (though I did solve the problem with an adult dog we rescued--she never ignored a command to come ever again, I was never comfortable with where we started). I've got a 6 month old retriever/lab/pointer mix who is just lovely and responsive. But has started phoning in the recalls from time to time. I wanted to get there ahead of the problem we're going to have. With any luck, we won't have to get to static level.
    But it's clear that I had it turned up too high today and I hated that. I will give him a day off from it (work on leash work tomorrow) and try again with a lower setting next time.

She knows "come", " sit", " wait" and I can walk her without a leash, she is always coming to me when I call her, but when the other dog aproaches she is running to them and scaring the hell out of the owner and the dog. She isn't attacking them but scaring them and seems to enjoy it. So I will try to use e collar. Do you have some recomandation wich one e collar to use on such a big dog?

    Should I start my dog with the tone or vibrate or should I just start with the low stim so she can associate stim with the command for the event that I have to turn the stim up (if she’s chasing an animal)

    My Finn (9 month old aussie) is watching you intently right now lol i had to take a picture he’s sitting front and center in front of the tv watching you work with this husky. Lol he never really watches tv either so it’s so funny to see him so engaged. And he became interested in the beginning at the part where you cut into you talking about your video right after you said you were going to use the e collar at a 4. As o type this he’s laying down still watching you 😋

    I think free ecollar training videos are essential. So many uneducated people out there and other bad people who misuse not knowing how it's done

    thanks, my dog has been losing her hearing with age, she is still playful, but she no longer hears when I call her in the field or in the parks, this E-collar is just what I need, thank you very much for your teaching. Now the question is, which one is the best option?

    I was training for a organization that used positive reinforcement only because it was dogs that were supposed to be assistant dogs. The dog that I trained didn’t make it through and they gave it back to me. What would be the best way to introduce this new type of training with the two years of training he’s already had. Recall is one of the worst and barking at people coming into the yard and house.

    I am a newby at this and have a very stubborn and stressed Hussie (Aussie/Husky mix - who does that?) and the one thing I'm not clear on is why is there a beep mode, vibration mode and shock mode? Which one are you using and what are the others for? Thanks.

    Can you comment about if the collar is off the dog “he knows he can get away with things” because the collar isn’t on ?
    Considering getting one but also don’t want to take away from his response without the collar on

    Hello love your videos just wondering what you might recommend for a very picky Siberian husky my dog is a year and a half and for almost a year now I struggle feeding her she is extremely picky with food she really doesn’t like much dog food at all not food motivated at all I tried cooking healthy dog food recipes for her she didn’t care much for that either doesn’t like rice or vegetables period or fruit she won’t eat pumpkin she likes sweet potatoes a little and freeze dried dog food here and there she’ll go 3-4 with no food and constantly loses weight she’s not that fond of even cheese maybe 1 kind of cheese when she has to take pills or something I’ll give her a small piece of cheese I do t no what to do any suggestions I will greatly appreciate ❤

    thanks, mi perrita ha ido perdiendo la audicion con la edad, sigue siendo juguetona, pero ya no oye cuando la llamo en el campo o en los parques, este E-collar veo que es justo lo que necesito, muchas gracias por su enseñanza
