No business, entity or anyone should have absolute control of their property such as Disney. If they were sovereign so be it but they can’t rely on making money from the rest of the state or the country
As a FL resident Disney brings in a ton of tourism revenue and creates a massive amount of Jobs. The Reedy Creek agreement essentially freed them from dealing with the nonsensical processes that the State enforces for construction projects, improvements, ordinances ETC. Disney's processes are also far and above the standards for Typical County and DOT specs. Long story short, the agreement was warranted and fine until DeSantis got his feelings hurt and tried biting the hand that feeds.
The same people that hate monopolies trip over themselves to make excuses for Disney. No private entity is entitled to sovereignty in the United States. If it was Raytheon you wouldn't be so supportive.
@@bernardsouza814 are you stupid or what? There are sovereign societies in the usa. Such as Indian reservations.
@@blooboy240 so you are willing to sacrifice the constitution of the usa for jobs?
@@blooboy240 people like you are what makes this country weak. Gm. Ford and Chrysler are a lot bigger than Disney. They don’t govern themselves. Your making excuses that sacrifices our freedoms
Is he too controlling because Disney did not agree and he wants to punish “Mickey Mouse”?…
Sounds like Disney lost its favored nation status and agreed to quit complaining about it.
What about disneys woke B.S.?.
@@lawrencedobesh776as long as Disney funds it, it’s their prerogative. What they can’t have are special state privileges while pushing that postmodern agenda
They didn't.
@@jimmyjam5453they did.
@@jimmyjam5453and voting up your own comments doesn’t change that 😆🤡
Desantis won.
Desantis won.....what?
No he didn't win. It's a victory for Disney. Look up the settlement and see for yourself.
I like how the caption to this video says Walt Disney World government really highlight. Disney thought they had.
DeSantos just wants to get out of the tangle he was in with one of the biggest company’s in Florida. Federal level is still a problem for DeSantos who caused his own problems.
DeSantos SUCKS
Anybody that causes DeSantis headaches is all right in my book.
Disney won.... they voided what the DeSantis board did and goes back to the 2020 rules.... that's a win for Disney no matter how the right wing wants to spin it.
Disney lost their self-governance, and they dropped their baseless suit. Only in the world of the “2+2=5” woke does any of that equal a win.
@@davidpar2 all the old rules are back and according to the settlement agreement the board can only assist Disney not hinder Disney....it doesn't matter it appears to you the public all that matters to Disney is things now function the way it was before DeSantis.
It is not going back to 2020 rules. They are reverting back to the 2020 comprehensive plan for the district. The Disney controlled RCID board had updated this to the 2032 comp plan just prior to CFTOD board taking over. The 2032 plan included addional theme parks and hotels. The 2020 plan does not included any development that is not already present. This was a loss for Disney. The develoment agreement that Disney signed with RCID just prior to the board switch that granted Disney control over the district even after their board was replaced was also voided. The district is now in the same condition as it should have been when CFTOD took over. Disney did not win.
@@jimmyjam5453 that’s not true, but whatever you need to tell yourself, I guess.
@@davidpar2 oh it's true and they are not finished yet. But you would never know that listing to write wing media . After that settlement you won't see DeSantis attacking Disney anymore. Open your 👀
