I am a simple man, i see a MIG 21LanceR in thumbnail, i click.
MiG 21 double takeoff -amazing.
Classics. Imaging this done in waves. Seen it some decades ago, could never forget
Yep, Mig-21. You can recognize that bird mile away.
there was a time when a mile away was way too late!
Felicitari tuturor participantilor, in special "Romanian Air Force"!!! MiG-21 LanceR,...
MiG 21 LanceR C
Prea mult cred că nu vom mai avea ocazia...
Beautiful Mig 21's......
2:04 Hercules standart version.
2:22 Hercules Deep Web version.
I like the thumbnail 2 romanian mig 21
Great stuff, and perfect camerawork. It's nice how the pilots acknowledge their departure with a wave and a wing-dip. Tradition still counts for a bit, eh?
Excellent quality 👍🏻 I thought the OV-10 was going to drive home 😂
oh!......I'd better rotate now before those lines across the runway!
Great to see a Bronco
0:29 Romania
We all love aircraft thats why we watch and have our favourites but i think one of the stars have the mig 21.s such a rare treat in western skies and i love the good old bronco lol thanks nigel for posting great as always
First to comment and always find positives! Agree about the Mig-21 and fantastic to have it actually do a display. Cheers Steve
When people ask me what my favorite airplane is, I usually don’t have an answer because I like all airplanes. I might like one more because of its shape but that’s it. Some has good shape, some has good performance some are more mechanical.
0:20 MIG-21
There will never be a day where the sight of an aircraft leaving the ground isn't amazing.
Hell, Nigel I was here for that but guess that we missed you. Great job of the TOs with good follow and tracking. Capt G
I went to Riat on the Saturday this year and it was amazing! Seeing the Boac 747 forming up with the red arrows and the double Concorde formation. I recommend riat to anyone
A beautiful formation especially curving around the crowd line.
Lucky, I can only get there on the Sunday
me: watcha got?
Nigel: two pair, 21s and 18s
me: damn, i'm out...
Ha ha love it!
An old Vet still enjoys watching thanks...
Salute to the Vets and cheers for watching JJ.
That's some sweet prop blur.
I've been watching your videos of RIAT and Avalon and they're absolutely fantastic, hopefully in 2021 I'll be able to attend RIAT and see all of this in person.
Thanks for commenting positively Euro and start making your plans for 2021! Any chance of 2020 RIAT?
@@NigelWoolleyaviation no chance for RIAT 2020, won't be able to save enough money in time but 2021 is 100% possible and in the next 2 years I'll be able to get enough together for a laptop and camera before I go over.
Thank and congregation for all pilots...principally military pilots....you delight me..
love how they salute the public...
1:01 damn quick take off... 🙂
Brilliant footage
Absolutely stonking Air show!!! Definitely back next year
I really wanted to go to this show but hopefully in the future, I only learned of it after being so disappointed with Farnborough, great to see so much Cold War era stuff
Trust me, I've been going for the last 5-6 years, it's absolutely worth going to RIAT
Fantastic show
A rare and precious video, as a member of countless army fans, overjoyed and poor in words, said thanks always feel too superficial!
Hello Mandela and thank you for watching and commenting. Simple thanks go a long way so not superficial. Enjoy your passions and interests. Cheers!
Superb
Some of these planes have been driven by the GE Engines (or derivative) the best ever reliable engines in Aviation History, that"s their "commercial cousins" are implemented in the most Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and Bombardier planes...
Md
great video's.i still think the f16 s the loudest jets
Nah, the Typhoon and F18s were definitely louder. Nevertheless, the F16 sure makes a din! :)
Very great video.. Wonderful love to much fighter jets, Thank you for the post
Loved the harriers, and ive just realized they are from spain lol
Two of my favourite countries well represented. RCAF and the Lithuanian Air Force.
The model type of the Frecce Tricolori Team is called Aermacchi MB-339 not AT-339.
Absolutely beautiful photography! Enjoyed so much.
Excelente vídeo!
Awesome moment for super great video Nigel Woolley
Thanks M96. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
The first team are Aermacchi MB-339PAN👍
Cheers for that. It seems from the RIAT website they have been re designated as AT-339A but most people would recognise them as MB-339PAN.
Really nice. Great to watch
To get on the grandstand for departures do you need to buy a FRIAT package?
Yes you do...a Mach 2 or Mach 3 ticket from memory.
Love the dc10 😍
Excellent! thanks for that Nigel!
4:24 Is that F-16 the Viper Demo Team aircraft that suffered an issue during the Sunday display?
Different one to demo aircraft. That's probably still getting some bandages on it.
Very nice video! May i ask you what camera, tripod etc you use?
Cheers MS . Sony AX53and no tripod.
Great video man! I have subscribed! Hoping to see more
5:55 that looked very unstable. He dipped badly after takeoff. Maybe wasn't in proper flap selection?
Certainly was a 'moment' on take off. I initially thought it was an aborted attempted wing wave on take off but not sure now from your comment. Cheers!
Why some bomb and missiles placed in some planes?
To make them look cooler
Was this filmed from Park & View or the main site?
From the FRIAT grandstand at the airshow centreline
@@NigelWoolleyaviation Thanks - Great video.
Varios aviones pack para aviación argentina ssssiii???? saludos
@ 2:05 Why do the propellers on the Canadian Hercules leave behind a trail?
@@curtiswhyte3297 So basically a low pressure area is created at the tips of the propeller blades then?
@@robzu1010 Propeller blades are basically just little wings.
Jets at 9.25? Mirage ?
Nope. SAAB Gripen
@@waltherppx6314 Thanks.
Grippen Good Job !
Dont know if it's just me but it feels odd seeing the Harrier take off like other conventional jets..
Yes I agree DZ. Understandably factors such as aerodynamic lift, heavier loads and more efficiency make conventional take off the chosen option when available. Cheers
What aircraft was that weird looking one at the end
RAF Sentinel R.1
Nigel Woolley thank you .
I love it!
No quier ver no tan viejo quiere ver este años actual
Where's the F-14?
the F-14 is an endangered airframe. The only way to see it in America is in a museum. Iran is the only other country that operated the F-14 and god knows how many of them are still operational.
What is that at 3:10?
Northrop Grumman H03 Firebird spy plane
Very good ,
cheers TP!
KC10 💪
The most important one is the last one....
Shame there were only a couple of wing waves.
They still fly the mig 21?
Yep. "Bison" model is still viable contender
"LanceR" model
They have good taste.
I think this relic should go to museum... 😅
What planes that @7:13 ?
Hawker Hunter :-)
6:40 Anyone knows what this is?
Bamboozled Bob T346
Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master (and the Russians have a virtually identical aircraft in the Yak-150
@@NigelWoolleyaviation Thank you both.
i bin there before the air tatwo
Love the vids dude :) just shame about all the cliky crew lol
