- Aircraft from the Royal International Air Tattoo departing on the Monday after the event. Over seventy departing aircraft included here such as the Vulcan, Mig29's, F5, F15's, F16's, F18's, Mirage 2000n's, Typhoons, Tornados, Osprey, Meteor, Kawasaki P1's, Su-22, tankers, transport aircraft and more.

That was amazing filming of a constant stream of loveliness. Still have a lot of fondness for the Tornado but of course I am biased after being a Tornado pilot. Thanks couldnt to RIAT this year but next year...... will be there.
Thanks for watching Christine and must have been another reminder of your airborne military times. Prepare yourself for the sad retirement of the Tornado early next year, an aircraft which will be sorely missed in the skies, especially with those wings swept. Love to hear some quick details of your Tornado time!

Amazing footage, especially of the A400M and the Sentry. I was there from the Wednesday before until the Tuesday after with 850 air cadets and ATC staff and officers on a camp next to the runway. We were working the crowd line, enclosures, setting up, FOD plods, clearing away, everything. Hard work when you're sleeping in military tents on camp beds with 25 other people in the cold at night and function on little sleep ( the usual night was from about 11pm until 5 am the next day, but with the amount of work it was extremely tiring ). The perks were that we got up close with many of the roped off aircraft I bagged myself and a sergeant and CI a tour of the Sentry that lasted well over half an hour, as well as the Hercules, F-18, Apache, Chinook and more. Incredibly what a RIAT Team cap, 3822 and show side staff pass will get you. I guess doing almost double the hours of sleep you get in work pays off in its own way. Especially when the Red Arrows keep practising over your tent.
Jexxie H You and the large army of support people are vital for airshows like this to happen. Thank you for those many hours. Hopefully your amazing opportunities on the tarmac are reward for those efforts.

Cheers to you too. Departures day for any RIAT airshow is so worthwhile for pretty much non stop military departures plus it's a ticketed event for relatively close viewing.

Hi Thomas. I use a Canon Legria HFG30 (or Vixia I think in UK) This was hand held as recorded from a grandstand.

Hi Nigel, I really like your video's, do you mind me asking, what Video camera do you use, I need to get a new camera and I am very impressed with the steadiness of the videos.
+Airshow World Thanks AW and also for sharing your many videos. This year I have been using a Canon Legria HF G30. It has a moderate zoom (20x) but good image stabilization, adjustable zoom speed and sensitivity etc. I usually use it with a monopod. Stabilising video footage is certainly both challenging and frustrating, especially with fast jets or crowded airshow spectator areas!

The Vulcan is my favourite plane but I am so sad that is stopped flighting

+winkymick yep, beautiful aircraft taken out of service too soon like the F-111. At least the Aussies were smart and hung on to it for a few years longer than the US but they too have sadly retired them recently as well.

If you mean aircraft in the foreground it's a plastic mockup of an F35A. The real aircraft was supposed to fly at RIAT in 2014 but due to engine fire it finally debuted in 2016.

My Grandfather was one of the first pilots in the RAF. He used to take bets on whether or not he could/ would fly under bridges. He made a lot of money!
