  • In the past 24 hours, John Adams has received new internal emails from the Federal Treasury Department via a Freedom of Information request. These emails confirm that the Adams Report published in October 2022 is "substantially correct".
This is a devastating blow to ASIC's credibility who at the same time was suggesting that the Adams Report is simplistic and not worth the paper it is written on.
Treeasury's independent confirmation of the analysis and findings of the Adams Report sets the stage for ASIC to be fully exposed in the second half of 2023 when public hearings commence as part of the ASIC inquiry.
These internal emails have now been forwarded to various Parliamentary Committees, including the ASIC inquiry being conducted at the Senate Economics References Committee.

This is an indication Government has grown far too large, and has become a threat to the democratic process. There needs to be major root and branch reform of the Federal Public Service, with downsizing as the primary objective.

I’ve run multiple businesses for over 20 years and have completely lost faith in ASIC. In 2022, I was travelling and had limited access to internet and mail. We had several dormant companies which we were going to let expire (which we did previously when they simply become deregisters if they renewal fee wasn’t paid). The Annual Renewal base fee was $275. Within three months, the late fees had escalated to $620. If any private enterprise imposed such penalties on any other citizen they would be charged with usury and unconscionable conduct. Upon returning from the travelling, the matter was addressed with ASIC who held a very aggressive position and made it very clear the companies could not be de registered until ALL late fees ($620 per entity) were paid PLUS an additional $44 fee to de-register. Additionally they reprimanded me (arrogant public services who woundn’t have a job if private enterprise didn’t pay taxes to pay their wages) that if I failed to pay the full amounts outstanding, we would be placed into colllections and our personal credit rating as a director would be impacted. That is mafia/mob style coercion and stand over tactics. Grossly unacceptable. Add to that, there is a minimum 40 minute wait time (often longer on hold) any time you call ASIC with an enquiry. What a gross waste of national productivity. If 1,000 businesses lose an hour of productive work hours every day just waiting on hold, that’s 5,000 hours per week (1,000 hrs per day x 5 days), 20,000 hours per month (4 wk month) and 260,000 hours per year, just sitting on the phone waiting for a government department employee to pick up the phone to answer your enquiry. Often they try to direct you to their website which is a mess of confusing menus and data that unless you already know what you need to look for, you don’t know what to find or to how to find it. They all need to be sacked and forced to set up their own business so they get to experience first hand the gross level of competence and inflated arrogance involved dealing with them.

    • @highvibe4839

What a brilliant response, indeed set them up in a business and see how long they last! The contempt they have with no accountability, the fines, the interest, loose your credit rating, this is likened to a union mob looking for safety of building money, that they would burn to the ground if employees didn’t pay union fees. This actually went on in Sydney Maritime occupations. It’s all a corporate fraud set up under Admiralty Law they operate in.. know your rights, know your laws! Common vs Admiral.

RBA is a private corporation giving the Treasury a target to blame especially now that they intend to obfuscate responsibility entirely. To my mind, Australia has been financially captured but most shockingly 'given up' to the criminal global elites that truly run our country and 'select' our leaders in key roles across the board, given up by our own Australian leaders. @goonie8814 it must feel uncomfortable for some builders knowing this and then going home at the end of the day and having to bite their tounge when their family and friends buy or build within those suburbs showing off their homes at house parties or over a BBQ 😬

The sooner this self appointed prime minister is taken down & exposed for the lying evil man that he is, the better along with his side kick. I want a man or woman holding the office of prime minister who has some backbone, honesty & integrity in their spine. We always seem to end up with useless, spineless individuals taking on this very important role who are easily led astray as they are greedy, power hungry individuals.

Thanks Martin and John for your diligent research and excellent commentary. (On a side note John, are you aware that your microphone audio quality is not up to the same standard as Martin’s? There is some degree of distortion in the sound being transmitted from your microphone which is an unfortunate distraction for the listener.)

Housing is a human right, not an investment vehicle at the expense of the poor and working class.

The treasury department should change its name to the debt department, because that's all we have in this country, along with a housing bubble of mythical proportions. We have no real money, and even the little physical gold (true money) we have is in London likely on lease with no prospect of ever returning as physical.
Fiat currency is dying because we left the only control system that prevented governments from reckless spending fuelled by currency expansion which is what inflation really is. You take a pizza, you cut it into smaller and smaller slices and then tell everyone there is more pizza, yet the slices are too small to fill anyone's appetite, and getting increasingly smaller. If only people understood what currency expansion has done to this country, and where we are headed. All fiat currencies fail, and we have over 3600 examples to follow in history. Different times, same result and yet we are going to do it again anyway here in Australia just as it is happening right now in Turkey.
Why is the government not looking at what all the central banks of the biggest countries in the world are doing buying gold and silver hand over fist? Countries that see the writing on the wall. They know already how this ends, but we are busy rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. Utter madness from our government.
Additionally, we have insecure energy reserves. 28 days supply of fuel to run the country. Who in government is thinking of contingencies if we can't get more? Cities have 3 days of food if the trucks stop delivering. No one is forward thinking in the political arena of our country. No one is critical thinking either. There will be a price to pay for this, and soon. Prepare accordingly.

Thank you gentlemen. And great news Mr Adams. Well done. Personally, Canberra also needs wholesale change. As does our election system, and made a lot more secure. I have had enough of busting my body only to receive a declining lifestyle with increased taxes and restrictions. Some recent abuses of power have been unprecedented. These lofty pollies need to understand that they work for the people, and not for agencies, corporations or unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats.
