Lots of love to youuu😘
Is there an alternative to hot glue?🥺
@@ravleenmalhotra1939 you could use Elmer's glue
Thank you so much for sharing this! Just a few days ago I collected and pressed some fall leaves, and I will definitely use this idea to keep them from breaking or falling apart. I don’t usually watch craft videos, but when I do, I only watch your channel.
Ha ha thank you so much, I am honored. 🌞 I'm really happy you found this useful 🍁
EXCELLENT idea!! I haven't been so excited about a craft for ages! Thank you!!! Maybe there are some petals that could take this too..
Thank you so much! Yes you can use petals also, or a printed image🌞
Brilliant video easy step by step instructions. Now I am off out to collect some fallen leaves to make a brooch for my mum. I will collect some from her garden as well x Thank you for sharingx
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for
I really enjoyed this video! I love the leaf ideas! Thank you so much😘
I wish I had seen this when it was fall as these are so pretty and such a best idea! I love this! ❤️💜💚
I'm sorry you missed fall, but you can also print out some pictures with leaves on paper, cut them out, and use that instead of real leaves. It works the same😊🌈🌹🍀
Ingenious ideas! Awesome stuff ❤️
What a fantastic idea! I love leaves and always like collecting them. This is one of the best ways to make them more permanent and usable. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!! :)

Can we use nail polish remover
This is the coolest video I've ever seen!!! 😱😱Thanks for sharing! Also are the leaves easily breakable? How would you say they hold up?
Lol now im gonna be making SO many earrings
Yaay😁
I have to make it on the account of Earth 🌎 Day ...
Thanks 😊

how long you left leaves to dry i was gonna make this idea and wow i found somebody think the same
I left them 1-2 days in a book to be pressed
I have also tried twice - once with parchment paper and once with wax paper and they both stuck to the paper and ruined the leaves(after waiting until completely cooled). What temperature do you have the iron at? Maybe that is what I am doing wrong. Also, what type of wax paper do you use? Thanks!
I use the type of paper for baking, that you can safely use in the oven. Usually I use FINO brand. I iron at the lowest level, for silk. What exactly stuck to the paper? Maybe add a thicker layer of glue? If there is not enough glue to cover the whole leaf, the leaf will enter in contact directly with the iron and may get ruined.
Also if the leaf is too dry and crumbly it may get ruined no matter what you do
Could you paint nail polish on it to preserve instead of hot glue?
Oops nvm I didn’t finish watching the video lol
U r amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Is that hot glue? Can this be done with a glue other than hot glue? Why do you run a flame over them? Do you have a written guide?
It can only be done like this with hot glue . The flame is optional. It gives a shinny look. As alternative you can add a glossy varnish on top or clear nail polish.
Nail varnish is resin.
Hey have anyone tried it with photos??? Sorry but this method is so brilliant!!!!!
I tried with printed images to make butterfly wings : ua-cam.com/video/msoD0_250BA/v-deo.html
Can I use anything other than an iron?
Do the colors of the leaves change over time?
No, it's been a year now and it looks the same. Just make sure the leaf is fully covered. If air gets inside the color will fade.
@@FluffyHedgehog oh that's a nice surprise I expected them to turn brown after a while.
Hi, I’m having issues with air bubbles after pressing the leaves? What am I doing wrong? TIA 😀
Hmm..It could be that the leaves have some impurities on them , dirt, bugs or some chemicals, or the leaves were not pressed in a book before encapsulating them in glue, and they were still "fresh" and soft, with prominent nerves sticking out, or there was not enough heat from the iron, so the glue could not melt properly and be spread evenly.
Neat ideas! Glad to see art from a fellow leaf-lover 😊 How durable does it turn out with each method (glue, laquer, etc)? Do you think it would work for more fragile material like dried flower petals?
Well I still have the necklace after all this time. The colors have faded a bit, but it still looks good and realistic. For best results I recommend using both, first encapsulating them in glue, then add some laquer after cutting them out. Cover especially the edges, cause the edges are most likely to allow air inside. And once there is air inside, the colour will fade. I don't recommend using anything that is too dry, petals or leaves. Pick them fresh and leave them in a book just a couple of hours or a day, to get pressed, but not dry. This way you will keep beautiful colours and details encapsulated.
Can I do a final coat of dementtional magic or diamond glaze ?
Yes
@fluffy hedgehog beautiful 🤩 can you use this method for something that is not flat ?
No, because of air pockets
@@FluffyHedgehog thank you 🙏
How long have these lasted?
Well I still have them to this day, sometimes I wear the necklace ☺
@@FluffyHedgehog awesome! I'll give it a shot
Trying this out for myself. Question: how long did you leave the leafs to press inside the book? Thanks:)
a couple of hours to 1 day. If you leave them too long the colors will fade
@@FluffyHedgehog Thank you. That's what I was worried about. It's happened to me before. Thanks for the tip:)
Could this be done with dried flowers too?
yes 😊
@@FluffyHedgehog cool. Thanks!! 😊
Can i paint the leaves with nail polish to preserve it cause i dont have hot glue or resin?
yes, you can try, but you won't be able to make jewellery out of them.
@@FluffyHedgehog if i do so, do the colour of the leaves change over time?
@@soumyashriaddya1234 the colour fades in touch with air, so if you can cover them completely on all sides, it might last longer
@@FluffyHedgehog ok thank u😀
Do they ever get discolored after awhile?
I still have them and they look pretty much the same. It's important to cover them completely with hot glue bc once air gets in they get brown.
I really love this idea. Thank you for sharing it. I tried it and the wax paper stuck to the leaves even after cooling. I tried completely cool and semi warm and found it hard to separate. Could it be the type of glue? I used a basic clear stick in heat gun.
Hmm..i think it may be the wax paper..it must have enough wax coat to not stick..and also it is important to be cooled down completly..so the glue is super dry and hardened
Didn't you use parchment paper rather than wax paper?@@FluffyHedgehog
What is the name of this plant
Various tree leaves that grow in Europe : beech, oak, mapple, but I also went to the botanical garden and found ginkgo biloba leaf.
