Be sure to watch until the end to have a greater understanding on why this is happening and what you can do to prevent it. (Peep Zoey in the video as well sometimes peering out of her little box!)

thank you for this video! I was so concerned my kitty was making hair balls every couple days, i gave her some high fiber treats to help her pass it instead of coughing it up on my bed and that worked. Thank you for describing how a hairball should look too! I'm a new cat owner and I couldn't tell if its a normal hairball, poop, or vomit/something I should worry about. I feel more reassured now with my cats :)

This is so helpful! I always worry if I'm misinterpreting my cat's...gifts...because his hairballs are always so small.

When we adopted a rescue kitten and she ended up being diagnosed with IBD, I was shocked, because I have Crohn's and had no idea IBD also existed in cats. Over the past 13 years, we have taken care of each other through the ups and downs of our shared disease. 💜
It's fascinating (and sad) that cat IBD can also turn cancerous. Dysplasia is why I ended up needing a colectomy/ileostomy, though obviously in humans it isn't lymphoma caused by IBD, but rather CRC. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for signs in her, and of course aim to keep her inflammation under control. I imagine ostomies are not done in the animal world!
In humans, there are tests for inflammation like fecal calprotectin or CRP...is something like that available to monitor cats as well? Or is it more about keeping an eye on symptoms?
Anyway this video was super fascinating, and I'm very late to comment, but thank you so much for posting it.

Lately ive been finding large cat vomits and it looks like 💩, but with the hairballs comes with this liquid. Is that normal to come out with liquid?
