- Warbird Roundup 2018 set the bar high with a five-ship flight of World War II P-40 Warhawk fighters over Nampa, Idaho on Saturday, 25 August. The Warhawk formation bobbed in the smoky skies of Idaho as the early afternoon heat radiated off the ground, and five skilled warbird pilots made it look effortless. Ride along in the Planes of Fame museum P-40N. The formation included one P-40E, a P-40M, and three P-40Ns. The day's activities included a demonstration flight of the racing Mustang 'Voodoo' by Steven Hinton, plus the immaculate P-47D 'Dottie Mae', more Mustangs, Texans, a Tigercat, TBM, and the Planes of Fame B-25J, still wearing a coat of movie camouflage from its recent stint in the remake of 'Catch-22', for which it flew the Atlantic. Warbird Roundup is the product of hard work by the Warhawk Air Museum of Nampa, Idaho, supported by donors, volunteers, and enthusiastic warbird operators from around the west. 2018 show dates are Saturday and Sunday, 25 and 26 August. Outstanding edit! Thanks for the pure engine sounds. The slo mo's were fabulous!
Thanks for your comments.
I feel very patriotic when I watch your videos, Fred. I enjoy that feeling. Thx.
Thanks! Next event: RC Warbirds Over Nampa!
That Was AWESOME Thank You, Thank You, Thank You..!
Great Camera Work EXCELLENT..!
You are very welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting.
this was by far one of the best well put video's of an air show I have ever seen. Your camera's were very well places and put in places that I would of done if I had the equipments. Away from the people speaking or PA blaring and just nothing but engine to my ears. LOVE IT! Thank to the ones who spent hours editing and putting this on youtube. LOVE THIS!
And thank you for your comments. It is appreciated.
Just fantastic seeing a formation of P-40’s flying today. Thanks for the video!
You are welcome.
Great video. I was at the show for the first time and had the honor of meeting Bud Anderson.
Glad you enjoyed the video, and glad you had a chance to meet veteran Bud Anderson. It was great that he could participate in the event. His remarks about his wartime service are so interesting.
airailimages and he is right about Patriotism it is lacking in today’s youth under the current environment.
Fantastic video work Fred!! Love your angles! Thanks for posting!
And thanks for watching and commenting!
Beautiful Fred just beautiful!

Bud Anderson is a Hero ?

merçi a bientot
Et merci. J'apprécie vos commentaires.
Great video!👍
Thanks!
Does anyone give rides in the P40? I would track them as it was my favorite since childhood.
Thanks for the cool video.
You can check with the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, Calif. and also Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho to see what the availability, and cost, would be.
Beautiful Video. I was wondering, was that a P-64 replica or a real P-64?
I think only one genuine P-64 exists, in the EAA collection at Oshkosh.
What was that in the airshow?
Not the original.

And also one in the Turkish Museum of Military Aviation, in Istambul.
My jaw dropped, when I saw it, indoors, in that Museum.!!!
Looked like mint condition.!!!
At 15:41:
Please, cut the frigging "elevator music", and let US, the Aircraft Lovers, listen to the SOUND of the machines.!!!!
PLEASEEEEEEE.!!!
JEEEZZZZ.!!!!!
Well thanks for watching and commenting, but hey, think about it for a minute -- the section at 15:41 is in slo-mo, so the ambient audio is useless. Plus, it is a repeat of video you saw earlier in the program at normal speed with ambient engine sounds, so you're not missing a thing. You already saw and heard this same section of video.
Im sorry.. but that "Mustang #5 Racing" is not a Mustang anymore. its nothing close to the normal ones its not a warbird anymore
EvoNeiko It's still a P-51 airframe with a Merlin
AT LAST, somebody that think like me!!!
They have SPOILED a beautiful and PRECIOUS warbirds, to make a typical "Hillbillie's hot-stupid-rod".!!!
How typical of those filthy rich hillbillie's, to wreck a Historically precious thing, and make TOYS, typical of amusement parks.!!!
( And VERY expensive ones!!!)
Too much money, no culture!!!
Like they almost have wrecked all the Fords Model A and B, of 1932, destroying a Classic, to make STUPID TOYS.!!!
( Typical of Beavis and Butthead 's).
Restore those PRECIOUS pieces of History, ( I even agree with the placing of two seats, for that is the only way other people can feel how it is),
BUT, please STOP DESTROYING CLASSIC MACHINES.!!!!!
PRESERVE HISTORY.!!!
GREAT VIDEO, but please don't spoil it with that frigging, NOT NEEDED "music".!!!
Well, again, I appreciate your comments, but you have to realize a couple things. First, we use ambient audio with engine sounds whenever it is usable; music is now used only when the ambient audio is not usable for one of several reasons. And, you have to look at the statistics and realize how many more people like this video. We do our best to use ambient audio, but your request is contrary to good business, and contrary to our sense of editing, just by the statistics. So instead of reacting negatively to something that's not going to change, why not just relax and don't get worked up over it? We hope you'll stick around for more videos, but if they make you angry, maybe we're not the channel for you.
