There’s one thing I noticed that wasn’t on this list. The peak of Mt. Umate was actually seen before in The Clone Wars. In the Season 2 Mandalore trilogy, when Bo-Katan’s sister, Duchess Satine, is falsely accused of murder and is on the run, she and Obi-Wan meet up at the area of Mt. Umate so she can give him some vital information in order to clear her name.

Origins of the first order is the real episode title here, and the betrayal is what I saw coming a mile away.
Katy O Brian played the role to absolute perfection.
Not really a massive fan of the sequels, however it might be interesting to see how the story progresses, but to know what’s to come is kinda meh..

@@abdurali8855 Agreed. Personally I don't think the final trilogy is terrible, just a big letdown after waiting so long after Lucas announced he intended 9 films.
Loved this episode. Not a reader of the comics and novels so i was always wondering what became of the tens of thousands of Imperial ship crews and their hardware.
And the subtle implications that the New Republic is not that different from the Empire.

Number 11: Regarding that "It was a trap!" mind flayer scene. The Mon Calamari trying to reassure Dr. Pershing sounded a LOT like Dan Aykroyd...

I absolutely hated this episode, but not for the reason you think. Dr. Pershing’s betrayal reminds me too much of my own experience with a former special needs behavioral specialist, and someone I once considered a friend, whom I realized almost too late was just manipulating me and using me merely for monetary gain

That peak of Mt. Umate really shocked me. The fact that a city was built around and above a mountain that very little of it was visible was unbelievable.
I wish they did something or at least touched on the lower levels of the city, That would of been a cool scene to see them sneak down there knowing how bad and more poverty stricken the areas are the lower you go in coruscant

Travel biscuits or "Panzerkekse" in german. I loved them while serving in the German Bundeswehr. Most didn't like them because these "biscuits" were as hard as "tanks" (hence the name "tank biscuits").

9:00 Grogu isn't going to use the backward speak like Yoda does since Yaddle in Tales of the Jedi had been talking normally and plus, I did heard that Yoda had been using Backward Speak from his previous master, it isn't an alien language from his species uses.
there's one thing that has me concerned, and it's those TIE Bombers and Interceptors showing up out of nowhere, and when they exited the planets atmosphere, there was no star ship of where they originated from.
Maybe the ship was on the other side of the planet, or there's still an functional Imperial Base somewhere in the system.

that girl who set up pershing was seen before in season two of when informing moff gideon about tracking din djarin after his ship was repaired it somewhat forshadow that she was gonna be more in the season later on in the series

I noticed the tie bomber connection too. That kinda hurt knowing they destroyed both Mandalor and the castle. I thought they were from Gideon. I also didn’t catch Grogu trying to say this is the way. I mean I heard the sounds, but I interpreted it as him sensing danger and trying to warn them because the ties appeared right after. Then I remembered that Din at least doesn’t know about that force ability yet so the this is the way thing makes more sense.
The main actress in this would make a great Abby in “The Last of Us”.

I didn't care for that, myself. I would have preferred it be the other way around - 80% Mando and 20% Dr. Pershing (if even that much)
The travel biscuits are likely condensed survival food with Imperial packaging. They’re made for camping and survival in the real world. I’ve tried a few. Pretty good stuff and good if you’re in a jam. The “orange” ones are peanut based. I like those a lot. Oh no! Am I an ex-imperial???
First season, Grogu says, "Grogu wants" he does, the automated toy from season 1 also says it. It's in the middle of babbling but it's there.
I wasn’t sure about the episode.
Episode 3 gave me massive prequels-flashbacks - and not the good kind. It gave me the "boring people sitting and walking in front of boring Coruscant backgrounds, uttering boring and stale dialogue" vibes. It´s the worst episode by far up until this point and it makes me somewhat anxious for the things to come. And why does every represantative of the new republic come across as weird, silly, stupid and, to be honest, creepy? Is that intentional .. ?

Now I'm not saying I disagree with the stuff included on the list, but the way the information was presented for many of the points was just poorly conveyed.

Was it just me or was this episode not that good? Like I cared none about Dr perishing or the other girl and thought it was a waste of time. And the betrayal could have been seen from a mile away…
To me the story reminded me of Clone Wars style. And yes we knew the betrayal will happen, but how it will happen is intriguing. No matter the opinions, i find it more well thought out than the sequels. Only wish that it didn’t give hints that it might be connected to the sequels which also might be happening in the Bad Batch.
Star Wars and the movie industry in general should really knock it off with the wokeness already. For half of the episode I didn't know if that guest actor was a guy or a woman. Keep real world social themes out of a franchise where it adds nothing to the story and makes it cringy instead.

I loved the episode. But not sure how it connects to the Mandalorian story. Felt like a pilot to a spin-off or something..
Really love what they are doing with Bo Katan, i definetly noticed that she wasn't removing her helmet after swimming, and started suspecting she would be allowed into the convent due to that. And it's really interesting, Bo has trashed the creed since we first met her in this show, and belited them as just a bunch of fanatics, but now she's in a situation where she was abandoned by all of her allies and is seeing how Mandalorians just keep fighting each other and can't be united. But suddenly, she's starting to see how that Creed, even with all its nosense, is keeping this group of Mandalorians united like she wants.
So i don't think she'll stick around too much with them, but this will be an oportunity for her to see how they operate and appreciate their way of life, and maybe learn something to eventually unite all the Mandalorians, really excited about her role in this season.
And not to mention she saw the Mythosaur, wonder what’s her agenda will be after keeping that to herself 🤔
Technically she should now have the Darkblade. Din Djarin lost it to the Grevious thing and she defeated it and got it back. So she should be their leader?

With hindsight, this wasn't one of my favourite episodes. While I loved the longer episode length to set the scene, the story took far too long to tell us what we could already guess - that Kane was setting up Pershing. Quite apart from her constant, cold, death-stares (not a criticism of the actor - she was excellent in making Kane ambitious and dislikeable), Pershing should been clued in by the way incidental music turned grim whenever she appeared. The New Republic staff plummeted in my estimations here too. First we have Dr fish-face telling Pershing that his planned research involves using banned technology, while completely ignoring the fact that he's keeping him strapped to a form of banned technology. Then we have Senior Technician Weirdo McIdiot blabbing to Kane about how wonderful it is that we have people like "YOU" supporting us, before adding "I'm just going to take a walk and leave you alone with this piece of brain-scrambling technology. Do make sure you don't dial it up to ELEVEN." By all means show the rise of the First Order (...if you really must), but don't make the New Republic idiots to do it.
The episode ended left us not knowing if Pershing's story has ended or if we'll see him again. On first viewing, I was expecting the story to come back in a later episode, but it didn't, so I have little idea of what to expect - or even WHETHER to expect anything at all - for that storyline. If it's to be unresolved, what was the point of having Pershing in the show? If it IS to be resolved, I have nothing to go on to say "this is the story point you should be waiting for". It just sort of feels bolted on to the show for no real purpose. Though, if it's just to give some jumping on point for the "Somehow Palpatine returned" nonsense of the Sequels, I don't think I want to go any further down that road as that story was very poor and I don't want really innovative, interesting and entertaining TV show to be just to provide a set-up to a really derivative and dull ending.
The mind flare is what the jedi used against darth reaven to erase his memory before retraining him as a jedi.
You said the clone army was used to take over the government. That isn't true. The senate voted to hand over the government to Palpatine. He then used them to take out the Jedi but the Jedi wasn't part of the government.

So I've a question, If Din Djarin was defeated by the cyclops monster and then Bo Katan beats the cyclops monster with the dark saber: does Bo Katan now 'own' the dark saber?
Mando was not technically defeated but the fight did point out something, she was blazing the Dark Saber like a stick which would give a glimpse that sooner or later, Mando will probably "hand" her the Dark Saber.

Very interesting. This show is about Star Wars but sometimes we let ourselves forget, and it's a very good thing ! When we expect Star Wars we are always disappointed...
