    Also....if you guys would be kind enough to recommend some good gear....I would appreciate that :)
    PS. I'm a big boi so if any of you know good quality brands that make 'bigger sizes' that would be awesome...thanks 🙂🙃.

      I too am a big boi so getting gear that fit and was comfortable etc was something I was concerned about.
      The day I passed my A license I went into the Honda dealership in Maidstone and spoke to the guys in there. They worked with my budget to get me the best I could get with the budget I had.
      The Jacket is the Oxford Mondial Advanced and trousers are the Oxford Montreal 4.0. Boots are TCX Jupiter 4 Gore-Tex Boots. Helmet HJC R-PHA 70 - Erin Red and Alpinestars SP-8 V3 Leather Gloves. Cost me a good amount back in July, but I feel it's worth it even though my bike still hasn't been delivered!
      I would defo visit a bike clothing store and go try on a few things. Always try them on before buying and be realistic with your pricing and I would recommend buying one thing at a time unless you have a nice big budget. I will eventually add to my gear and look at getting waterproof boots and thermal waterproof gloves, especially as I will officially start riding in the winter. *fingers crossed*

    I think that vloggers that do ride with all the gear even if its not top quality have 1) better impact on young drivers and 2) have more views so take that into account haha. I'm not gonna lie on my 125 I usually ride with thick adidas trackies and a hoodie if its to the shop or something but when its work or somewhere further its a thicker jacket like a motorbike all weather jacket. I need winter gloves though cause I have alpinestars summer gloves and jesus my hands don't respond after 25 minutes. You're growing man keep it up also your talking is getting better every video so you're for sure getting the hang of it! :D

      @@tvtwistasmoto Chelmsford itself is not somewhere to go unless you have to. I ride out east on the roads around the Rodings villages, north to Finchingfield and beyond and east you have places on the coast such as Burnham on Crouch, Bradwell on Sea Walton on the Naze. All good twistie roads and usually not too much traffic.

    I'm the same. I'm in the U.S. and I wear a $200 Scorpion EXO R420 helmet, $65 Alpinestars Crossland gloves no matter what. I'm not even legally required to wear a helmet but always do 100% after witnessing my neighbor literally fracture his skull going 5mph on his 4 wheeler on the street, flipped over and the 4 wheeler basically acted as a 800lb hammer to smash his head into the curb.
    But that being said.
    I only wear my Joe Rocket atomic 5.0 jacket ($180) when I'm doing highway riding or long trips.
    I always wear boots but they are just regular Danner work boots that I wear all day everyday. And I wear regular pants and never shorts (mostly 5.11 stryke pants because they never bunch up or restrict my movement because they stretch and flex)
    Long story short, good riding skills and habits out perform the best of gear!

    • @tvtwistasmoto
      @tvtwistasmoto  Рік тому +1

      Oof!! That accident sounds horrible, I understand why you always wear a helmet after that. I'm surprised that you don't legally have to wear a helmet though, that is interesting. I also agree that good riding is better than fancy gear. That being said i'm gonna try some better gear and see what the fuss is about.

    Hi,I pre ordered the cbr650r 2023 model and heard a lot about vibration though seat & handle bars at 6000 rpm.How bad is this, as its starting to put me off ?.All over reviews seem positive apart fm lacking mid range grunt.Really appreciate if you can get back to me in this one.

    • @tvtwistasmoto
      @tvtwistasmoto  Рік тому +1

      Yes the bike does vibrate a bit at 6000-7000 rpm, you feel it in the seat, the bars, the tank and the foot pegs. In my opinion it's not that bad, I got used to it. Besides I have the 2019, the 2023 has a few updates to the showa front forks and to the euro 5 engine that should minimise the effects of the vibrations.
      At the end of the day it depends how much it's going to bother you. If the vibrations are a big no no for you, then you probably won't like the bike. When I first got the bike I did not notice it, but when I started commuting on the motorway and cruised at 6-7k rpms I was surprised how noticeable the vibrations were. Caught me off guard at first but now as I said i'm used to it.
      As for the mid range grunt, it is indeed lacking but it's not a problem, just something you will notice. Put the bike in the right gear, pin that throttle and she's gone!!
      (Sorry for really long reply).

    As far as cold weather gear. That's not even an option where I live.
    Winter lasts 6 months and temperature stays around 10 to -30f. Snow and ice live on the road the entire time.
