Thank you for this video. I think you should have talked more about the effect of the weight on the every day carry comfort. The weight difference is HUGE and makes the shooting capabilities differences worth it foer EDC. For competition I would take the TAC.

Now I just need to talk them into an external extractor and it’ll be my top pic for next 2011 style gun to buy. I was gonna go with the Kimber KDS9C railed model, until I saw other owners examples and wasn’t too happy with the slide to frame and barrel fitting quality. Another great review brother. I like it when you ask your wife all the right questions to get her views on it and also to help other women understand and make decisions.
Full dust cover looks much nicer. For full length guns I prefer steel as well. The only issue I have with Bul Armory is how difficult it is to buy one. I'm still waiting to be notified when the new Ultralight Pro becomes available again.
I have a couple of Buls. You just have to be patient. I kind of enjoy their unobtanium status. Spend the cash for something like a staccato and every second guy at the range is pulling one out of his bag.

Just curious if the “adding a light trick” makes the aluminum edc feel as good as the tac just because of added weight or does the steel frame soak up the recoil better anyway?
Aluminum technically "soaks" recoil better as it is less stiff, but in this case it's the added nose weight that helped fight muzzle flip. A 5oz light might do the same for the EDC that the extra 5oz of wieght does on the TAC.
Different animals. Talking metal framed 2011s to a polymer race gun with a rotating barrel. But I'd guess the X Cal and X Trim would do as good but differently.
They are all options. This has me considering doing another test like this but a mashup of different competition-grade guns. Part of the validity of this test though was that it wasn't practiced and was a completely new drill so we had no memorized cheats to cause bias.
Extra mags, optics plates, more machine time, base plates all total MORE than the price increase and if you go with a common Stacatto (they made almost as many pistols in 2022 as Diamondback) then you still have to pay more for the optics plates and mags.

The Ultralights are going through a generational change. Last I heard the new versions will hit the US in the fall.

5” pro is on the way. Pretty much no aftermarket grips without a ton of fitting, right?
Neither model demonstrated were 5" or PRO models. I don't know about aftermarket grips, I don't see a need for them.

Bul just jack $500 on the TAC by adding 2 mags and optic plates, BUL... now is not wort it anymore for an extra 50 bucks can get the Staccato P
