The Delhi Sultanate also contributed to fighting the Mongol Empire to a great extent! Even the remnants of the Khwarezmian Empire fought against them in a couple of battles. You should have mentioned these.
Delhi Sultanate was eventually captured by Muslim Mongols, the Mughal Dynasty.

I am also one of the Mongols who recently converted to Islam (this year in fact). But there are some corrections I will make about our history:
Firstly: It is Chinghis Khaan, not Genghis Khan, we do not pronounce the K in the word Khaan.
Second: After unifying the Mongol nations, various Turkic nations were collected as well, as well as Khitans in China (Mongolic people who became more Chinese after a while).
Thirdly: It was not out of hostility toward the Muslims or Islam. Mongkh Tengger (Eternal Heaven) Is One God and this was the belief of Mongols for Thousands of Years, before Christianity, Judaism or Islam was even named. In the Yassa (Code of Laws orally spoke by Chinghis and then Preserved by script by Kublai Khaan. The first and Most important law:
1. It is ordered to believe that there is only one God, creator of heaven and earth, who alone gives life and death, riches and poverty as pleases Him - and who has over everything an absolute power.
The Khwarazeim and Abbassids were not conquered for being Muslim, but were conquered for their incredible arrogance and greed. Don't think they were just and honourable, because they called themselves Muslims. Remember the story of Hulaqu Khaan, who fed a plate of gold to the Caliph of Baghdad and when the Caliph refused, Hulaqu told him "Why didn't you use this gold for your people and your soldiers?" implying that he kept all the gold, like a dragon in a cave and didn't use it for any good.
So Allah decided to give mercy of islam to you, awesome. salam .

I agree, a lot of people tend to forget what many of the muslim rulers did at that time. This still does not exclude the fact when the mongols converted to islam there were was much propaganda relating to thier original religion in order to make them seem more favorible to thier subjects. much of what we know of Yassa comes from later accounts, and there are no surviving direct transcriptions of the Yassa from the time of Chinggis Khaan.

The Kara-Khanids were the first line of defence. After the mongols usurped the throne and absorbed them, it all went downhill.

The Barlas were originally a Mongol army who settled in Transoxiana to keep the local non Mongols from rebelling. Once they settled they mixed the local Turks and Persian speaking peoples. They became personalised and Turkified. That’s how they became Muslims. Emir Timur himself was trying to create a Muslim version of the Mongol Empire. His biggest enemies were Mongols and the Ming Empire (most powerful empire at the time).
