I have no idea of what I would give to go back in time and go to a genesis W&W 1977 show. Thank God Steve Hackett is keeping these magical jewels alive every year.
@gilabird75 Awesome!! Holy crap! They did Trespass??? I didn't know they were doing that! What a gift! We saw them twice in the last 2 years and the concerts were just fantastic!! The night we saw them in Collingswood, New Jersey, they instead of doing the normal lineup of Genesis Revisited songs plus Hackett Highlights, changed the program and did the Genesis Revisited lineup plus the whole of Selling England by the Pound. This is my favorite part of a cherished album. It always feels so autumnal. This was brilliant. I listen to this and then want to cry because music has declined so precipitously. I was lucky to be a teen when this came out and to see it performed live by Genesis at the Forum in Inglewood. Which also happens to be the town I was born in way back in 1959! Fantastic video, one can see the complexity involved in playing such a wonderful piece of (actually "classical") music. Many thanks to all involved in producing it.
Question: Just how do you get a 71 year old man out of his chair and give a standing ovation? Answer: By performing what I think is the BEST cover of this Genesis classic that I've heard ANYWHERE! Very well done not only the high standard of the musicians but also the quality of the sound on the recording. Fantastic!!
@@tlcdc60 You are welcome Sir! To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement!! How did you synchronise everything so perfectly when it looks like you were all in different places? What can I say, good music stays and future generations perpetuate and continue it.
Those generations that are playing are absolutely NOT millenials or Gen Z. They have no clue as to what non-auto tune good music is.
