An Oscar, an Emmy, a Golden Globe, 2 SAGA's Countless other awards and nominations... How is he underrated? Starting to think people just use "underrated" because they read it somewhere but don't actually know what it means.
@@likilikiki Becausr when you ask the normal moviegoer, they have no idea who he is. You really think the general movie going public votes on the Academy Awards and SAG award and a bunch of other awards you previously listed? Why bother writing when you keep digging your own hole? There is only one way the general public votes and that's with gross revenue. When TLJ is starring with someone like Will Smith, an inferior actor to TLJ, MIB grosses hundreds of millions and is a franchise. When TLJ is on his own, his movies gross much less. That last line is a truth that any father that’s worth a damn knows to be true. You have to be willing to both live or die to keep them safe and protected from the evils of the world…….regardless of age.
@@rogerjohnson2490 In Texas last year, a father killed the guy who raped his 5 year old daughter. The judge acquitted him of all charges. I'm guessing the judge had a daughter also.
Of course RT scored it low. It features a strong father figure protecting his son. This is wildly divergent compared to single-mom base-babe homes that actively alienate children from their fathers and villify men for simply existing.
To those who are blessed enough to have a father in their lives, and if you watch this… Cherish the time you have with them… You won’t get it back in this life time. And if you are fortunate enough to get it back in the form of a son of your own, remember what it was like as a child looking up to your father and remember what it was like to have someone that special that you looked up too, and perform every action as if your son now is watching and emulating you. For you do not know the ripples that you cause. So cause good ones.

Fr 🥹💜
My dad was the same way god bless his soul
Tommy Lee Jones is a national treasure. That man is master of his craft.
I know what this man did was not perfect but as a son words can not describe the respect i have for fathers like this bc regardless of age or the reason his son needed his help he helped him he was completely prepared to sacrifice everything he's worked for solely for his son, also im a grown man but this scene nearly brought me to tears bc i realized that in this movie this father was willing to do any god damn thing to protect his boy ❤
Meanwhile, the son has to spend the rest of his life tormented over the fact that his mistakes led to his fathers last days being spent in prison.
My father said that to me one day…. I will never forget those words… I don’t remember the details of the conversation… I was going thru some “perceived” difficulty and he calmly listened…. Then said in context, “ son, don’t you know I would die for you?” I’ve never known love like this… but I know my dad loved me. That was the ultimate expression of it…. I smile every time I remember that moment….
Up until my son was born, I would have overlooked that phrase. After that glorious day, there is nothing I wouldn't do for him.
Real father💜
Don’t spoil him. Don’t give him everything. Make him appreciate getting things on his own. Help him appreciate a shitty first car.
Absolutely......our kids are more important to me than my own life.
💜
This first time i saw my daughter she was in the hospital nursery, she had a thick head of Brown hair and she was crying so loud i thought something was wrong. The nurse assured me she was fine. That little girl was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen. I will always see her as that beautiful baby girl…and yes, i would lay down my life for her in less than one second.
Tommy Lee Jones and Ben Foster... Two EXCELLENT actors in the same movie. I haven't seen this yet. Now I have to.
Ben Foster is so underrated. Great actor.
Ben Foster has been one of my favorite actors after Pandorum
@@jimboh.2654Someone who knows Pandorum, legitimately one of my favorite horror movies ever.
Clayne Crawford is pretty good, too.
What's the name of the movie
Exactly real patients do whatever it takes
You meant parents?
I AM YOUR PARENT😊@@devinaisaican2133
I think you meant parents, right? 😮
@@johnwilliamson2276
Of course he did, lol. Why are you even asking?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪
You do realize how powerful that is.WOW!
TLJ, one of the most underrated actors of this generation.
💯
An Oscar, an Emmy, a Golden Globe, 2 SAGA's
Countless other awards and nominations...
How is he underrated?
Starting to think people just use "underrated" because they read it somewhere but don't actually know what it means.
@@likilikiki Becausr when you ask the normal moviegoer, they have no idea who he is. For example, people talk about the Lincoln movie, everyone talks about Daniel Day Lewis as Lincoln but TLJ as Thaddeus Stevens often steals the show.
You know that the awards shows make up less than 10% of the audience, right?
@@Rorschachqp Calling absolute BS on people not knowing who Tommy Lee Jones is.
You're basing this on one movie lol?
You in all honesty think people don't remember him from blockbusters like MIB, No Country, Volcano, Ad Astra, The Fugitive, Valley, JFK or even Under Siege.
You're delusional if you think that people that are only half into movies don't know who Tommy Lee Jones is.
You know that award nominees are largely based on how movies are received by the public, right?
@@likilikiki So you're saying in MIB, Tommy Lee Jones, who is the best actor in the series, got paid the most in that series?
Just because you know an actor's name, doesn't mean you appreciate that person as much.
Also, you keep talking and you keep making more mistakes.
Will Smith on the other hand still grosses nine digits.
I feel that way about my daughter ❤
As do I my friend, as do I!
By any chance though... is your first name actually Vernon? If so... cool man! My Dad's name is Vernon! 😊
As you should
How does he owe that much and your gonna get a Loving Father’s Wrath ❤
Annd speaking calm, almost sweetly throughout. When you hear sincere dulcet , pleading terms emanating from a face like Tommy Lee's....😮Don't take it likely. Call it a Dayee❤
We as parents will go great lengths to protect our children from these types of people who wants to harm our kids and cant talked into reasoning and if we gotta do something we must do it
💯truth
f around and find out be threatening a man’s children oh boy
I'm so glad you added your head to this video.
Truer word have never been spoken. I would do anything for my son up to include my life if it ment he was going live.
Real father right there
I can only hope and pray that my son follows the path we are paving for him, but if he doesn’t….. I’ll damn sure follow him down the path he winds up following and keep him safe
Real father 🙌🏾
Man 100% sealed his fate when he was insulting his parenting. The man would kill for his son
As a father I can confirm this feeling is real and will drive us to do whatever it takes to keep them safe no matter if they in the wrong
If more fathers had the same conviction for their children as Tommy is portraying in this movie, our country would be in a MUCH better place!
Have fun with your cats in the future we know men effed the world up no accountability ever always men’s fault well if poor single mothers been raising all the bad ass kids by themselves a lot of that bad behavior would be on you now wouldn’t it but then you would have to admit that you aren’t as good of a parent you think you are goofball
this country is a great place. one of the things making it worse is people like you
Not the brightest, are we...Watch less Faux
I agree with you.
Miss my father so much. Ironically recently had my first son, shortly after I lost him. And I'd do anything for him.
He’s getting so old bro respect
When i saw my children for the first time it woke up instincts that i didn't even know i had. The shortest route to the cemetery is mess with my daughters. As a Father, there is no line I would not cross to save them.
Omg that is EXACTLY the feeling I had 16 years ago when I first laid eyes on my son!!!! Pure unconditional love…. I would die for him without hesitation
To save your son a farther will give everything even his own life ..... He got what he deserves
💯
He should get an award for this scene

Men In Black IV.
That last line is a truth that any father that’s worth a damn knows to be true. You have to be willing to both live or die to keep them safe and protected from the evils of the world…….regardless of age.
Tommy Lee Jones has always brought his best in every roll he has played, and thats way more than actors today call their best.
That's true when you love your son you do anything for your son
Or your little girl.
That's exactly what a real father should be 💯 facts
As someone who has lost both wife and son i know this pain all too well been dealing with it for 23 years now
Im sorry for your loss 💜 im praying for healing for you brother 💜

I have been there after 10 years for protecting my family from bad people and my son didn't even know them, they just wanted to control the place
Well done Mr Eldridge. The World need more guys like you.
True that
Can relate!
God bless
Never take everything away from someone because they have nothing to lose and you will lose your life is what Tommy Lee portrayed in this character.
Never mess with older people...they will always surprise you!
And facing life in prison is not that big of a deterrent anymore.
@@mayorb3366 Especially if you're messing with their kid. No parents will stand around and let harm come to their child!
@@rogerjohnson2490 In Texas last year, a father killed the guy who raped his 5 year old daughter. The judge acquitted him of all charges.
I'm guessing the judge had a daughter also.
I would die for all of my children.I don't care even the ones that are not mine
Real ‼️
😂
Looks good. Rotten tomatoes gave it 28% ...
Rotten tomatoes is rotten
IMDb is much more accurate….6.0 out of 10
Of course RT scored it low. It features a strong father figure protecting his son. This is wildly divergent compared to single-mom base-babe homes that actively alienate children from their fathers and villify men for simply existing.
rotten tomatoes ratings is shit. dont believe its ratings
Underrated actor, helped make the Lethal Weapon show great to watch
Definitely
To those who are blessed enough to have a father in their lives, and if you watch this… Cherish the time you have with them… You won’t get it back in this life time. And if you are fortunate enough to get it back in the form of a son of your own, remember what it was like as a child looking up to your father and remember what it was like to have someone that special that you looked up too, and perform every action as if your son now is watching and emulating you. For you do not know the ripples that you cause. So cause good ones.
A clear name of the movie or series would’ve deserved a like and a possible subscribe

why did it take me 30 minutes to find this!!
I’m very close to 60 years old. Done a and been through a lot as one might imagine. But I can sum it all up to the greatest moment in my life. That moment when I first saw the light of God reflecting off my son’s face as the doctor took him from his mother’s womb. I truly learned the meaning of the word “sacred” in that moment.
This is how MILLIONS of us feel about our nation. 😊
You must not have any kids

Best 2 days of my life were when the nurse handed my sons to me when they were born. Nothing like it in the world.
My father said the same to me 💯
