How To Test An O2 Sensor

What is an Oxygen Sensor? What does it do? When I get an O2 sensor fault code, should I just replace the sensor or do testing to prove that it is faulty?
Today we are looking at a Toyota Camry 2003 4 cylinder with a fault code, but no check engine light.
How do we determine what the fault code is and what testing we need to do.

You remind me of my instructor in the very early 1970s, clear logical and excellent communications. Using the multimeter and scope takes away all guessing, but sadly some people jump the gun and forget the fundamentals. Great easy-going video.
