This episode is honestly really sad more then scary. I cry every time I watch it. It makes you realize that you should always be grateful and live your life to the fullest and even if you're poor or rich it doesn't matter because at the end of the day you will always have people who care about you/love you.
I know what you mean, me I have a big family tree, and a wide support system of friends, even though i'm a bit of a loner, I always who to help me out in life.
The moral of this story is that everything is temporary and life is so short. And not to focus so much on stocking up material things because one day it will all be gone before you know it and we can’t take anything with us when we die except the virtues of our character and we are really only remembered by what influences we’ve had on peoples lives.
Ain’t it the truth? Two years ago my Dad died at the age of 90. He was my best friend. Now he is gone. My life just hasn’t been the same without him. I miss him every day.
Another cute detail, is that Reaper tries to calm the boy at the beginning, and even smiles when the boy calms the man, and convinces him to move on. Fate put those two together, because it knew while the man was going to freak out, and be in denial about dying (like most people) it had those two meet, because it knew the boy would be able to calm the man and convince him to move on, due to their similarities.
So what does the ending imply? The boy is going to die while at his father’s or that he and the grim reaper will meet once more when he is much older and it is his time?
Completely open to interpretation. Boy could now work it out with his dad and accomplish *his* selfless act, and die soon after, or could die at an average age later on. Either way he would meet the Reaper. Personally I think it was just a reminder from the Reaper to make sure he and his dad are always on good terms because he could die at any moment.
This episode honestly helped me alot on rewatch. I was always scared of death because although I am a Christian, an eternity with nothing else to look forward to? It seemed scary to me, the not knowing what heaven would be like and such. But this episode made me realize that I'm overthinking it, that I shouldn't speculate what's to come but what is now, and what is here. That life is here and we shouldn't pass it up in place of fear or worry for the end.
There’s nothing to fear for those who are in Christ. The lost however have everything to fear... hell awaits them. Pray for the lost, Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven and eternal life. God bless! 🙏🏻
You know what would be a cool twist? If the Boy was dead instead of the Man, and the Grim Reaper is there to collect his soul. In fact, I think that's what happened. They're all dead, and in purgatory, and the Old Woman (Death) is trying to help them move on to heaven. The whole thing was just a test to see if someone is worthy of moving on.
That really seemed to be the case like they were all dead that's why was she still there after his soul left she touched him and that woman I believe so that they were all dead and one by one choosen to cross over that's why he still saw her after the ghost left an endless purgatory they all died on that plane and they will ride on the plane over and over until each soul is at rest
@@ryanharris5184 I don't remember those ones but can't help but laugh at how ridiculous it was for the house to come alive and eat her or something it looked goofy as hell
@@JimboPro there was a scene after the girl’s parents left. In the scene she remembered a lot of good memories she had with her parents in the house. Then she realized her parents needed her more than ever, and that’s when she was ready to leave the house.
I think in a way he did have a meaningful relationship even if it was after death, with the little kid. In that short moment they were together, he almost came off as a father figure to the kid, and they both related with each other in the sense that they push those closest to them away because they're afraid of getting hurt. I think he let the plane live for the kid not for the people because he deeply cared for him in that moment after speaking so deeply. So in a way, they had a short but meaningful relationship, and it's pretty awesome that boy can remember his dead friend forever and sort of live for him by connecting with his dad again and having meaningful relationships as the man never got to do.
My brother used to do this for his summer vacations starting at 13-14 onwards. That was back in the 90s, though, so a lot's changed since then, I suppose
The ending I would hope it meant everyone answers to the reaper at some point in time and the reaper was teasing him with true facts. Second interpretation is that the boy will soon pass during his visit with his father. I draw this conclusion when the reaper placed its hand on to the boy’s and said “Everything is happening as it should.“ Also if the boy wasn’t worried about dying after said event had happened he wouldn’t have established that worried and knowing look on his face after the reaper’s response. I do believe the boy was fated to soon pass during his visit with his father.
@@veronicastevens1614 the boy was saying that it was fate that he could see the man because they were so much alike and could help each other and she said "Without a doubt"
Well the boy said he hopes to meet again and the grim reaper(the old lady) in the end said without a doubt meaning they will meet again when he dies in the future
He was already dead. His ghost wanted to stay among the land of the living. He sacrificed being able to be on the living plain so that the child and everyone on the plane could survive. Very moving.

Weird how the Grim Reaper didn’t appear in the Sixth Sense, to take Malcolm away.
The whole sequence of the guy going to the afterlife was truly heartwarming. Thanks for uploading these episodes.
I agree
The grim reaper is not evil, she is doing her job.
I like how it shows Death isn't wicked, he just is...
And how he even allows the boy to address him like a friend at the end...
