This podcast deserves Oscar award shem. I mean it leaves no stone unturned where social issues are concerned. And it has been nothing but informative.
I can’t stress this enough .
Ei dude. It's serving
I swear...
I agree!!! Presenting skills are on point. She literally asks the questions that I am thinking of while watching.
@@Ximatsatsa1 she is very smart
One thing about this show, it needs you to be open minded.
Or it will FORCE one to be open minded.
Oprah walked so Relebogile could run❤️
😒😒
In just two months, this show has spoken about everything there is to talk about
And she is not done yet, I am loving her work
Yho this show follows no blueprint. I am in awe of the topics they touch on.
You can say that again
I get goosebumps
Is this 2 months only uh?
With shows like these... We will grow up to be a better generation, one without judgment but compassion, and who is well informed. Such things should be taught in schools. Great work Relebogile!! 🙏❤️
Hey 👏
They are taught at school, via L.O classes
We've always known but in the 80's they were referred to as hermaphrodites which is the technical term for Intersex animals. 😔🤦🏾♀️
So true Mpume her shows are so educational we're learning a lot Sisi Rele keep up the good work we're behind you mbokodo
I hope you recieve some sort of award Relebogile Sisi because these topics are exactly what we need to learn about as a society!
I feel like crying listening to Dimakatso. Warm hearted person and able to forgive. I grew up knowing that there are people called "Trasie" having both genitals. How I wished to see how they looked like. Today my eyes are opened and I do understand 100% what is intersex. Thanks Relebogile for topics such as this. We are the same in the eyes of God.
I wish I could see what they look Like and if they have the the both gender what will be their sexual relationship if they have sex with both male and female
No religion can explain this anatomy ... I love how Dimakatso explained
& which is true
Every community should be informed 🙏
T
There is an explanation for this. Just like being born blind just like being born death just like being born with the pindages missing just like being born attached to your twin. There are all Kinds of types of admiralities that happen in uteral. But in spite of that these are still living human beings.
There is in ancient African spirituality and in Nigerian orrisa ifa system....
"You come across with God created Adam and Eve, there I am with both genitalia. So you can't come with religion, if you get what I'm saying". I felt that deep
This individual was not born with both genitalia they admitted their genitalia was ambiguous. Ambiguous genitalia doesn’t develop into a penis or a vagina which is why it’s ambiguous.
How I love Dimakatso's honesty and vulnerability. They are so beautiful to watch and listen to.
Your Oscar is still doing push up's wherever it is Relebogile👏👌 your work is exceptional and i hope South Africa and the rest of the world gives you your flowers when you can still smell them 💥 thats includes your team as well.
Facts
Choice of words is very crucial. As a child adults make a choice to protect the child but later it Bemis hard to accept you.
The information is really crucial and extremely important for individuals 👏 🙌
with an open mind it was my first time hearing about this and i got educated on this matter
It's official. I'm addicted to your podcasts. Your future is tooo bright 🔥🔥 Lebo! And Dimakatso's humility just won me over! Such a sweet human being!
Yes very humble.

This is honestly better than Oprah. Rele has such a beautiful communication gift.
I thought so too. She hardly ever speaks when someone is talking which is a huge difference from how Miss Oprah conducts her interviews.
@@iamlenhle6628 right she not condescending or imposing her own beliefs. Just so pure and i feel like I can talk to her too. Such talent and grace
She is really gifted in COMMUNICATION
Why mess things by putting up a competition? All we need is Love and respect for each other as best in its place! Competition has always been evil.... please don't spoil this beautiful, excellent, highly Informative interview.
Do you really have to bring in comparison?
Dimakatso's story touched me. I wish THEY had a choice to decide for THEMSELVES at birth. Society kills us.💔
I suspect even medically it’s perceived as biological mistake that’s why they opt for correction
Societal pressure is the worst.
I wish they didn't do surgery on these babies and wait until puberty and let the families decide what they want to do at that point.
I’m actually addicted to these podcasts. Ground breaking! dialogues🙌🏾. I love how you dissect topics and respect your guests. Upwards and forward to you Relebogile ❤️👌🏾
Wow I grew up knowing and going to church with Katso! Love how she is educating our community on being Intersex. Keep going dear!
Why do u guys feel such a need to learn about other people's sex drive?😂 you're sick!
Such discussions shed more light on why religion should play far from issues of sex, sexual orientation, gender and identity as well as sexuality in general. They butcher it and harm lots of people in the process.
I think sex and sexuality are a religious forte because of the deep impact they have on the soul. Biological phenomena however is a different story. The sooner we can separate biological Intersexuality from the act or practice of sexuality and see it for what it is a legitimate biological condition the clearer the role is for religion in this dialogue. Spiritual insight is important here too. Dimakatso knows her God and its her and her parent's faith in The God Of Jacob that has brought her to this depth of Ministry and Activism- That's what she said. So we definitely can't disregard the importance of religious perspective however controversial it might be. Inclusion of the wholeself is important in these matters.
@@tshepozindela4618 Interestingly, on the spiritual level we chose our sexual orientation
@@tshepozindela4618 by "impact on the soul" you mean psyche? The church chose a domain they should have no business in and monopolized lies about a subject or subjects they have zero knowledge in.
@@bonganihadebe2422 Explain your hypothesis
Hey Jerome. Good to meet you in these streets☺
Children born in polygamous marriage never want to be in one… we need to hear their side. Topic consideration
Really? They all don't ?
@@bonganiyasharahla8488 Yes. It’s the pits.
You are right, I'd rather be single than be in that mess
Dimakatso I admire your Peace ❤️ you are in such a healthy state of mind…
Such a positive and forgiving and greatful spirit. You are an evolved person.Definitely next level
Nice work Lebo♥️🔥. Next I’d like to see you interview parents of convicted killers… kinda like a “I gave birth to a killer” episode
Would be interesting
Seconded...
hope she consider this, it would be interesting to watch
That's sends shivers to my spine
I would like that too
We need to talk more about this topic so people can understand why people are the way they are as Gay, straight, bisexual, intersexual.
Love from Botswana.. Love how informative this show is ♥🙏🏾
I love this channel, It’s unboxing societal standards. We are slowly unlearning the limited information that was given to us to fit “the world standard”. We grow up so limited but with conversations like these, we have hope for freedom. May God continue reveal.
I Love how you handle every interview with so much grace! You're amazing at what you do. We're constantly unlearning and learning. Thank you Aus' Lebo. ❤️
This is so educational! Didn’t realise you could be intersex and not know it!
I wish I could meet Dimakatso, what an amazing human being!
Well spoken.
@@Yvonne7220 yes biden blk ppl can be well spoken too. Shocked huh
I love you Dimakatso you're such a beautiful soul pumpkin and yes you're SPECIAL.By accepting and loving yourself you're a star in my sky.I wish you all the best in life
Nope, they only spoke colonisers language, that's not exactly being well spoken to me. Know your own then we can see the true you, not this rehearsed nonsense.
Wow very impressive, big ups to you Relebogile and your team for the outstanding and extensive work you guys do and continue doing, well thought through topics and research done. What makes it more outstanding it’s your focus on ordinary people (not celebrities/icons) and cover all types and kinds of thorny and sensitive issues that exists within our society. I must say that indeed this show is educational, I wish it can get more and more publicity. These are conversations that should be openly held in our societies. Also a big thanks to your brave and bold guests/interviewees who come forward and share so much with us. 👌🏽👌🏽👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏽
Wow what a discussion, God is good. I don't want to offend anyone. Born and raised in America for so long Race, Sex, Genders, Gentrification, Love, Marriage and Christianity. I have looked at and tried to study these subjects every since I was a teenager trying to find my own sexuality. In many foreign countries most people they can't afford the physicians, psychiatrist and surgery. I am told they go on to live their lives happily and healthy as possible. Having Marriages, Spouses, Children and Families that understand and support them.
I don’t think I’ve watched a show much educational such as this one!. It compels you to be open-minded; not to mention Relebogile’s stellar interviewing skills❤️.
It’s not educational because ambiguous genitalia is neither male or female meaning they don’t have both a penis and a vagina. The genitalia failed to develop which is why it’s ambiguous it doesn’t fit into male or female.
"Doctors were fixing something which wasn't broken"
Exactly
This show was very informative. I learned how to be kind and sensitive towards others feelings. Thank you 🙏🏿
Dimakatso.... I love you! I see God in you, and in you I see what peace look and sound like. Namaste 🙏🏾
I had shared the link with my colleagues in the health fraternity as the experiment experiences messed up with me in an unbelievable manner. The things we do unintentionally thinking that we are helping yet we are causing such a devastating damage.
I once heard Dima's interview with Bishop Maphonga, I love his confidence and may God grant me the senerity to accept things I can not change like Dimakatso...
Remove 'his'
Their confidence, Dimakatso does not identify as a man or woman, they explained that.
I'd like to see this interview, GPS?
@@Sound.Mind.840 search for Bishop Maphonga and intersex talk
@@ntandomtshali6661 thanks, I found it
😭😭😭😭my uncle and aunt destroyed my cousin, i wish they can listen to this, she/ he was born with both and they decided that she/ he was a boy, now that she/he is grown,she/ he is more on the female side, it is exactly what Dimakatso explained🙏
I think 🤔 we need to leave the child like that and decide later on which is more functional 🤔🤷
I think it's best to kill an abomination at birth, beforenit even growns to cause disgust and confusion.
There is no such thing as an infant being born with both a vagina and penis, the genitalia was more likely ambiguous meaning. it didn’t develop into a penis or vagina. Many intersex would still fit into binary categories as male or female those with ambiguous genitalia didn’t develop into male or female which is why it’s referred to as ambiguous. It’s neither male or female.

Knowledge we don't think is necessarily needed........ I've come to learn to respect people's journeys for what they are Just because I haven't lived your life doesn't mean now because it's different from mine I should have something to say about it being wrong or how I think it should be...... N I've gotten to really understand the fundament of acceptance 🕯️🕯️🕯️such light
My daughter was also born intersexed god bless you and your strength but my daughter also struggles with a life threatening medical condition
Relebogile I like how you talk less and let your guests speak more. No interjection and no making the interview about you. And how you respect your guests and boundaries, yet you are able to retrieve desired answers. You are a gem and a marvel to watch and listen. Well done sesi👌🏽👌🏽❤️🙏🏽
Wow there is a great deal to learn in life. The beautiful lesson is accepting the way that God has made us and choose to be who you are and not what people want you to be. Powerful message. Thank you for airing this conversation sis.
Dimakatso is not happy about how things turned around, even how Dimakatso says the parents chose what they wanted annoys Dimakatso, for a while I didn't understand this binary classification, but listening to Dimakatso I can tell it really affect many in a long run and in silence.
I am learning alot and thank you Lebo for these opportunities.
You're amazing Rele, the world needs to see your interviews, there's so much to learn. Thank you♥️
I think these kind of surgeries mustn't be done on babies or kids... The individual would have to do that themselves when they reach a certain age to give consent.
I agree, this podcast deserves an AWARD. thanks for educating us.
Super proud of Katso.
I love the fact that you continue to share your story.
You are touching alot people.
Growing up near you really really taught us alot.
I would like to meet and hug Dimakatso, we share the same surname and both come from Diepkloof.
Love the fact they're explaining the medical aspect.
Pls note I'm not for the LGBT whatever I'm just fully aware that some persons Are born that way. For the other I leave you to the most high. I'll give an example of someone I knew on her death bed constantly cried prayed and pleaded to God to forgive her for the life she chose to live. Now like I said that's between her and the Most High.
Wow!! I just found this channel last week and subscribed.
I have never really thought about this topic, but I'm sure l would've thought people want to be either or. You guys have certainly made me think and l thank you for educating me.
Really informative, well put together and a very good watch! 👌🏾
This has me thinking about permissions..like operating to remove the genitalia, or even a foreskin, or extra fingers or toes..the baby can't make a choice whether to keep it or have it removed. It doesn't seem fair
I think in the same way that parents should be careful to not make such irreversible decisions hastily, we should appreciate that they probably also do it because they think it'll make the child's life easier. It's usually easier to want to look for someone to blame for our suffering, but sometimes there isn't necessarily anyone to blame.
@@khutjodiphofe2245 While I agree, I want to add that there is stigma attached to being different. Perhaps we as a society could learn something about differences and to accept them, if stories like this have a platform. There are also practical concerns, especially in the case of extra toes, like possibly struggling to find shoes that fit..anyways, thanks for your perspective
Wow Dimakatso is full of positivity and full of wisdom such a brilliant human being
Thank you for this beautiful, thorough interview. This was so eye opening!
I really love how both guests represented themselves. This was very educative🙏🏾
🕯️For God to continue working on our understanding and being open minded
This show is incredible including the host on how she unpack her questions. Being open-minded gives you a room to learn a lot of things without judging/expectations.
Ooh, they're soo right because there was nothing wrong with having both genetalia being there if that's how you were born as. To operate without understanding what's actually going to eventually come out. I'm encouraged by the courage that this guy has❤. You are such a gem. Bless you!💗
I’m grateful for this channel, so informative and I love how Rele deals with these topics. Bringing these unpopular opinions to the forefront. I really am really learning a lot. Thank you❤️
For a good part of my pregnancy with him, it was believed that my son was intersexed and I recall medical staff telling us that we can "have it taken care of" shortly after birth. I remember thinking WTF - I'm not going to rush - why would we cut off/sew up before we know what they want?! As it turned out he was born with all male genitalia/XY but it was upside down and the urinary opening not on the penis- surgery was required for functioning, but nothing was added/removed (except a urethra which was too short to urinate healthily).
I applaud this broadcast because I think the medical community and the law needs to prohibit/ban these elective surgeries on intersexed infants.
My cousin gave birth to 4 children with the both genitals, the doctors could identify which one is more active and they should make the other one not to function,
Hey Katso, we went to the same school and class, nice seeing how you've grown hun and wish you nothing but the best, I am super proud of you ❤️😍❤️
You're wonderfully and perfectly made ❤, grateful for your stories, very eye opening 🙏🏼

Wow what a topic 🤔. Growing up in Ga Molepo we used to hear the term sekgalamatome but we didn't quite understand it. Now I am 45 yrs old and it is making sense when I connect the dots about the people who "were" actually intersex and I grew up together with them without ever understanding
Thank you Relebogile, you are blessed with the gift of communication. I love tge way you ask questions and unpack everything.Your show deserves an Oscar 👏🏾👏🏾
In Xhosa we call them ITALASI I stand to be corrected though as growing up we knew that intersex people they exist amongst us but was a topic never touched at all. Well-done for this education 👏🙌👌

This is informative. Thank you Relebogile for educating us..i didn't know this existed until today.
Thank you for this interview, very informative.
An eye opener. Thank you
Thank you all so much for sharing this information. It has helped me to understand more about persons who are born genetically different, even understanding the terms and using them in the correct context. I believe that the Creator made each of us special to fulfil His grand purpose. In this regard, I am generally non-judgemental and accepting of differences especially appreciating that no one is perfect. Blessings to my intersex siblings.💕
