Little Steven's reaction when Bruce gives him the last solo during "Prove It" is priceless. Then he kills it. I was there and for me this song was the highlight of the 4+ hour show.
The combination of these two songs (my favourite Tracks song and my favourite song from my favourite album including THE intro) must be the best I've ever seen and I've been to a good few Bruce shows.
The Helsinki concert must have been a great one. I guess it's a matter of musical interpretation, but I really felt Steven's solo took away from the song. He is excellent as a guitar player on other songs, but I think he took too much liberty in his solo. N. Lofgren does a much more higher quality solo on this song, IMO
I know I'm replying to a 7-year-old comment on here, and I'm not trying to be argumentative or a snob or a troll, Even though Steven's solo doesn't melt your face off like Lofgren's, to me, it seems truer to the way it was played in the 1978-era videos on here. It was a treat for Bruce to break out the 78 Intros after over 30 years of hibernation, but I wouldn't mind seeing Nils or Steven do the intro one time, Bruce seems to perfunctorily walk thru it as a reluctant favor to us ;-)
@@topgeardel I tried to be polite and just offer my opinion and recognized the post was older. I made sure everyone knew I wasn't the snooty defensive purist so prevalent about this topic on here. I don't know how it was condescending. I didn't reference chord progressions or other technical expertise to back up my response. Sorry my opinion was unwelcome to you. I am at the mercy of youtube's algorithms for videos I can listen to while I'm working, I hadn't seen this until today.

@@williampriesterjr.5077 Thank you so much for commenting to a 7 year old. Your condescending and omniscient response is much appreciated.
