I always loved that spot too, a beautiful overlook of the map. I usually built a mansion up there but never felt the road was suitable for equipment so it was kept purely residential. I'd build my actual farm and a bunkhouse/hand house south of field 11 just across the enclosed bridge. This is the first base game map I've had fun on since FS 2013 (the game I started on) and I actually put a decent amount of hours into it waiting on maps to be converted/built for 22 after it first came out.
It's great to hear that you also appreciate the beauty of that overlook! Building a mansion there sounds like a good idea, I also chose to keep the farm fairly small due to the road conditions. Your choice to build the actual farm near field 11, seems like a strategic and practical decision. Thanks for sharing your experience and approach to the game!
Absolutely, Elm Creek is a map that continues to draw me back in. While the construction functions have received some criticism, I believe the game would be less enjoyable without these features. They add a layer of creativity and personalization that truly enhances the overall experience.
Elmcreek is over all a very nice map. It just sucks that it only has 5 ground textures and that all areas with buildings on can't be bought. So if you want to place more productions or animals you always have to sacrifice a field...
On that field yes but where you were building was random house and watchtower overlooking the corn maze cause after finding this spot doing the treasures I built here too
They really need to make every map the entire map purchase able so you can play and do whatever you want I hate that you can't work where u want to like in water areas an all that drives me insane that's why I hardly ever play these maps even tho they are beautiful they suck in that manor
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your opinion and will take it into consideration for future videos. If you have any suggestions for music or other improvements, please feel free to share them. Also feel free to mute the sound if you don't like the music.
I found the music enjoyable while watching along for your build, by the way, from my perspective, I'd say your practically a wizard with the creative tools, decorations and such, you've offered inspiration for my builds, although currently on elm creek I'm building a large dairy farm, flatted a large field just to build a big farm yard for all the equipment, and cow barns, but after watching the beautiful scene you created I sense some of my time may start going to creating a small rustic farm off in the hills somewhere 😊, thank god for the gov subsidy mod 😂 I'm fresh to farm sim this month, just slowly starting to pick up the hang of things lol
Thanks for joining and checking out the video! We'd love to know - would you enjoy playing on this farm? Let us know in the comments! 😊🚜

@@techsimfarmer could we get a mod list because I want to create something similar
Some great spots on Elm Creek, I did one up in the north east corner Called My Farm My Way. Love setting up farms.

I agree, it has some limitations. What’s your favorite map?
On that field yes but where you were building was random house and watchtower overlooking the corn maze cause after finding this spot doing the treasures I built here too
Looks awesome! Might try a similar setup!
Great build! Maybe could have been a Timelapse but it was definitely easy to follow along, thanks!
That’s one of my favorites houses 😊
I agree. It feels almost like a cabin.
Nice job, but your front gate opens the wrong way. ; )
Nice

Where is this location?
Sorry for the late reply, it's farmland 38, north of the starting farm.
Could we get a mod list please
I'm sorry, but I am not able to share the complete list anymore.. Is there a particular item you were curious about?
@@techsimfarmerwhat was the attachment you used to remove the bushes? Is it part of a dlc?
You can find it on ModHub: Skid-Steer Forestry Mulcher www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=250939&title=fs2022
im new to fs22 how do i get the landscaping brush to get bigger and such?
On Win/Mac I believe it is M and N, on X-Box it's one of the arrows. Tip: Press F1 to show the control box in the upper left corner of the screen.
@@techsimfarmer my Martin Magee xox1 yes now

Hello,
I'm sorry, I don't have this savegame now. But thank you for the input, it would be nice to be able to offer downloads of the builds.

Sorry, I don't remember. It's this mod: www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=258986&title=fs2022

How is Elmcreek a hidden gem? It's base game.
