In Vanilla, the matriarch spider wasn't a rare, exactly, but she could be relied upon to consistently drop a 6 slot bag, a tremendous find at the level back then.
Wowhead loot table says otherwise
I think that’s just your luck. She more often dropped a trash white item like most of those rare early mobs. Spider silk robe
I got a bag from the spiders in her cave 🤷♂️
Just like the boars in the dwarf starting zone
Please don't let low viewership stop you from making this series. Its exactly what I've been looking for since everyone else quit doing them.
Facts ✨
"Here, on your map..."
I tell you, this phrase will become legendary in a few years!
I was just coming to the comments to see if anyone mentioned that. But it was you yourself! I was wondering how many ways one can say “on your MAP”.
I've a challenge for you sir... cataloging each random grace/gravesites in vanilla azeroth. Some are obvious roadside vigils but others are far from the beaten path and paint a particularly interesting story based on the creeps you find nearby.
In (vanilla) Feralas you can find an odd grave site pushed against the cliff face a klick from the goblin quest giver for zapping giants. They're hastily assembled, and placed uncomfortably close to some noxious wind serpents. Almost as if a traveling group took a bad turn and lost some members but still had daylight to burn before they made it to their destination.
Other examples are much more personal, usually along the lines of a warriors shrine open burial, or something that will have a lovely piece next to it as if it were a funeral for a friend.
Food for thought. This would be some untrodden content for sure, can't say I've ever seen anyone talk about them ever really.
Edit: I'd highly recommend setting up a Patreon. This seems like a great niche that could better benefit from Patreon support rather than hoping the algorithm shines on you the day of your upload.
You could’ve just cut it so it just said “here” instead of here on your map everytime lmao
Lov it
You forgot to mention that the Deathknell might actually have been Vandemar Village from Warcraft 3. It's the place Death Knight Arthas begins his journey and many of the acolytes of the Cult of the Damned were hidden among the populace
TY. This makes a lot of sense seeing how no normal humans would name a town "death knell" which basically means when the church bell tolls for a dead person during a local burial ritual. Perhaps it could even be the first town that was infected with the tainted grain brought from Northrend by the cultists.
Tirisfal Glade was my introduction to the game. My first character was a forsaken warlock. Then when Halloween rolls around, Tirisfal becomes the best place to be!
@26:37 This one is actually a really awesome and niche reference! The rats are a reference to the 1989 movie The Abyss. In one scene a rat is taken from its owner and forced to breathe some kind of oxygenated fluid. The fact that some of them are battle pets might just be a reference to the movie rat being a pet and there are 4 of them as a reference to the 5 rats used to film the scene. Why 4 rats instead of 5 though? Well that's because one of the rats essentially had a heart attack due to the stress of being held under water, and James Cameron supposedly resuscitated it and kept the rat for himself as a pet.
Awww man I was hoping someone would know the answer to this. That’s awesome!!
Isn't it a reference to Pied Piper of Hamelin?
@@sap_mt Those rats were many in number and all drowned.
THIS is exactly the sort of content I live for! Please don't stop until you've done every zone, even though it's a ton of work, and please do some of the recent zones like class order halls or tannan because none of these cool eastern eggs videos ever have the stamina to make it passed BC zones
Thank you!! And don't worry, this series will continue. I have all of the footage recorded for Eversong... I just had a few months where I felt really down about making Easter Egg content for Blizzard games after the accusations came out. But, the artists who put a lot of work into these areas deserve the acknowledgment of their work :)
this video is gold. I just discovered this channel and instantly subscribed. The only shame is to see how Cata's lore has been the death of the classic era never to come back.
"On your map" - "Here, on your map" - "on your map!" - "ON YOUR MAP!"
I think the Fairy Ring is also a reference to an easily forgetable intermission scene from Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. Between the mission where Tyrande and Maiev are escorting Kael`Thas and the mission where you are fighting against Illidan and his Naga in Dalaran ruins is a small scene, where Malfurion communicates with the land to find out what Illidan is up to. Not only is the area specifically stated to be in Tirisfal Glades, you are also able to see the area around it healing and animals being drawn to the area after Malfurion is gone. Druids in WoW also had once a minor glyph, that allowed them to teleport to random places with strong natural connections, the Fairy Ring being one of them.
Really interesting
dang - eagle eye, nice work
Fairy Rings also appear in Warcraft III. In the Ashenvale maps where you can control Grom you can find such rings with items inside. Once Grom picks up the item, Ghosts will spawn in the rings. If he picks it with Windwalk on, the ghosts will still spawn, but he can run away undamaged
The druid minor glyph became a toy so druids can still teleport around to places like the mushroom ring.
As someone who plays mostly undead toons, I loved this. Thank you! It was a fascinating and nostalgic trip. Would love the Plaguelands done in the same fashion or Silverpine.
Kinda weird that you didnt say anything about the ambiance sounds. If you set ur ambiance sound high there is a heartbeat you can hear in Tirisfall Glades and also when you enter the ruins of Lordaeron you can hear the Warcraft scene where Arthar comes back home. All the way from the bells to even him talking with his father and killing him.
Did NOT know about the heartbeat wtf
How about Gilneas next? That place's music alone filles me with nostalgia.
Gilneas is definitely on the list! It's one of my favorite areas - just the general vibe is so cool
Woo! I 100% agree! I started playing Warcraft right when Cataclysm came out, and my first ever character was a Worgen. I remember seeing one of the paintings blink and then freaking out. I'm really glad you make videos like this that point out all little details like that!
To mention the ships. The detail behind it is the the story of how the Highborne came to Eastern kingdom, they first landed in tirisfall prior to the existence of the humans. Many of them were driven insane by an unknown force on which they tried to leave and got nearly all killed by a blizzard. This in term is a refference to why the eversun forest is eternally spring.
many refferences in one
Tirisfal has always been my favorite zone in World of Warcraft since I started playing back in 2005. I love how it's atmosphere and quests really immerse you in the game.
Fun fact: if you tame Nighthowl as a hunter pet he retains his "ghostly" appearance.
this is hardly a secret
@@gracesinclair4275 he said fun fact not secret
@@everythinggaming7938 World of Warcraft SECRETS (Tirisfal Glades)
My first character was a undead warlock, instantly loved the starting zone. Thanks for the video.
I kinda flipped out because I didn’t know that Invincible’s grave was there and that is so awesome!
"right here on your map" this phrase will stuck in my head for now on :D
I still pray one day we'll get full skeletal options for undead, as well as other races of undead.
I understand WHY we can only play as undead humans (though why cant we play as skeletons? China's ban on skeletons in games maybe? Idk) but they could easily give a lore reason for why we can now play as other undead races
Easily fixed with a Noggenfogger elixir that you get from a quest in Tanaris which turns you into a skeleton. And you can play as other undead races in the form of Death Knights, which are basically undead heroes raised by powerful Valkiries.
Been binge watching this series, they're so well made and so interesting, and you have the voice for it. Have subscribed and hope you're channel grows quick, and the algorithm blesses you.
Thank you so much, it's super appreciated! Glad you've enjoyed this series, I have so much fun finding these secrets :)
since Blerdstern already said everything i wanted to write, keep it up,amazing work!
I don't understand the four rats under water, but the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was the movie The Abyss, and when they tested the liquid oxygen on the rat.
THank you for this!!! TIRISFAL FORSAKEN LAND FOREVER!!
This is the kind of wow lore video i never knew i had always wanted to see lol
The high elf ship is also a reference to when they left the night elf lands they landed in tirisfall but immediately left because it gave off evil energy
Mate, that happened 10000 years ago, you could not possibly expect that a WOODEN ship would last thousands of years. It is more likely a shipwreck from the Scourge invasion of the Third War, when the elves fought with the undead all over Tirisfal and Ghostlands.
This is one of the most interesting and lore friendly zones in the entire game. Everything just goes together so well.
Tyr's Tomb was also used in the Arms Warrior Artifact quest. But that's a small criticism on an awesome video. Thank you. 😊
I was afraid that it was used in more of the questlines, but wasn't 100% sure! I try to play through all of the relevant quests in an area so I don't point out obvious questing objects or hubs, but the Legion class questlines just involved so much more work to actually get to. I appreciate you pointing this out tho! :)
@@FullMotionVideos I kinda figured that might have been the case. I did play through each class's artifact quests. Most, I can't remember, but that one was one of my favorites.
Thank you for your content! I do enjoy it. 😊
It was also used for Shadow Priests as well.
Also the Holy Paladin's quest as well.
I havent played WoW in many, many years and really dont see my self going back...with that said you have the perfect voice for this! Loved this video, you earned the sub.
Yooo! I have barely played WoW in the last decade, only had a few stints here and there but man I still get so nostalgic for my early days back in 2006/07 when I watch these videos. I think I'll still be watching this type of content when I'm in a nursing home haha thanks for making it!
man, i just absolutly love your videos. They are great! I love exploring WoW maps myself, and do this for many years - but sometimes your found some things, that even I dont know! Great work! And when you give your attention to small worldbuilding details - that is just so rad! Noone do this!
Tirisfall was my first ever zone, because I began as a Forsaken so many years ago. And it was the prime reason for my love to WoW from the first glance. Atmosphere, quest text, world around... it all was just perfect. And you capture it reaaly cool in your videos!
Maybe, if you add some intersting quotes from quests, it would be even better. Like quest from poor Gretchen Dedmar, who is going to die soon, but still wish to serve Sylvanas - even if this only means sewing body bags for the fallen. Atmospheric as hell!
Also, there are a lot of easter eggs in Lordaeron - in its ruined quorters, like Arthas whispers, rose leaves and so on, and in Undercity too!
Keep doing great work!
“Liven up the area” 😂
Great content! I love learning more intimate details about the game I've loved for 18 years.
Glad this came across my home page. You got another sub right away
These have to be some of the most underrated videos on youtube. Only 238 likes for something of this quality and attention to detail!
I would love if you would look around Nagrand in the same way. It's been one of my favorite zones because of the contrast to the rest of the outlands.
Dude I just found your UA-cam channel and I love how you take the old quest lines and make them in to a story on here, that is way cool and very nostalgic. Not sure if you ever made one about Nathanos from vanilla before they changed him or not, but I think that would be a cool story to tell! Or even the old Redpath or Barov in Scholomance. Your videos are awesome!
The way this is narrated actually changed my perception of WoW. Happy New Year.
Absolutely loving these videos, just bingeing them right now, love your attention to detail and the fact you appreciate the little things that makes the world building in this game so amazing. Deff earned a new sub, sir!
Just discovered this channel and I absolutely LOVE it. I have been playing WoW for quite some time and I am one of those who just push through, I have no idea about this kind of stuff and I love learning about this lore. Now I'll have to go back and look for this stuff. This is freaking brilliant...!! New subscriber... 💜💜
I love all of these, makes me considering replaying. That, and your quest walk-throughs with the added narration and role play elements.
I don't even play this game anymore and I'm binging all your videos! They're so good!
If I hear right, the necromancer's voice from W3 is Michael Bell. He does voice for Medivh. Outside of warcraft you may know him as a Raziel from Legacy of Kain.
I am 90% positive that is him, if I am wrong I apologize.
The detail here is unbelievable, liked n subbed instantly, love this zone and this sort of content
I haven't even played the game for years now, but I love these videos.
This video fails to fill my quota of " Here, on your map " from previous videos that i've become accostomed to in your videos. Please increase the amount of " Here, on your map "
by at least 10 to 15% for future wow related videos xD
I've been watching these videos a lot recently, they are very well made. :)
One of my favorites in the Undead zone is that the first Rogue trainer you meet in Deathknell is named David Trias, like Stormwind's spy--I mean cheesemaking family.
I liked this one. Lots of stuff that was new to me. I never played Horde, and I played Vanilla through Cata. Cool that so many years later, I'm still seeing new and interesting things in this game.
rad videos! you've got thoughtful insights and very pleasant narration, look forward to seeing more :)
Beautiful content, don't stop making it!
Dang man, your VO is fantastic.
Awesome stuff. I hope you get to cover a lot more nostalgic zones as well. Best of luck.
This is honestly fantastic!!!
Wonderful job! I loved it!
Just discovered you yesterday & i watched nearly every wow video of you. keep it up man, i love em!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch, and hope I can continue to entertain :)
I absolutwly love this kind of content! gonna binge a lot of it
the best starting zone ever. Amazing video!
Your videos are top notch, man! So glad I found you!
The forsaken will forever be my favorite race. So much awesome lore surrounds the race as a whole and they get the best starting zone bar Elwynn maybe
Just discovered your channel after hitting my “winter time WoW playthrough” and I love your style. Great stuff, man. Keep it up. From one creator to another.
Amazing video, as always! This is fantastic, and so informative. I could listen to you talk literally all day.
Thank you so much! :)
these are sooo addictive! please keep them up!
Incredibly chill and entertaining videos, Thanks!
Archibald Kava said she was supposed to turn into a slime, I don't see any slimes having any leather on em.
Oh dang, you're right :o
This video helped my nighttime anxiety. Thank you! Subbed!
Awesome video. Thanks for your hard labor!
I love this, so glad i found this channel
Tirisfal is my fav starting zone. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!! Tirisfal is so nostalgic for me, though I think Teldrassil takes the nostalgia cake for me haha
These are really well made
Great Vids I enjoy how you go between Classic and Current wow, Keep it up, should do all the starting areas... what UI/Addon are you using during Moray's interaction???
This is an amazing work you've done, sir!
absolutely adored this video, im amazed with how amazing the world building in WoW has always been, how the world itself tells a story
As yes, Bayne. My first encounter with him was in WotLK Classic when I started up a Forsaken. Died to him a few times, but I did manage to finally kill him at some point.
Great video dude and you have a great coive for this kinda thing. only thing ide add is the echos of the past as you walk into the ruins of Lordaeron, it retells when Arthas returns and murders the king.
Hope your channel grows like it deserves. Awesome videos & time spent. Thank you :)
If we wanted to go next in the starting zone rounds, it would probably be Mulgore? I'd love to see a video like this on the cities!
My favorite zone in the game is, without a doubt, Gilneas. My guild(s) RP there (we pretend it's a reclaimed version of Havenswood from BfA's island expedition), and there are a TON of leftover details untouched by the starting zone.
Check out the outdoor wedding chapel, or the random BfA levelled mobs over the Emberstone mine!
The rats underwater might be a reference to the Abyss when they submerge mice in Oxygenated Fluorocarbon
These videos are great. Love them, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much! Hope I can continue to entertain :)
even if the foresaken plague never happened, a place with so many graveyards and mausoleums would be creepy regardless.
Dude. I love your video production style. Keep it up man.
I enjoy that this was uploaded on my birthday, I'm personally a fan of dark and dreary things, so this is a nice surprise.
your channel is way to underrated love this
Just found this channel and I love your easter egg videos!! Easy sub keep it up!
Ah, thank you so much! Hope you enjoy the future content :)
amazing channel never stop man i love you
Nice vid mate! There is a little lepre gnome a little north east of Garren's haunt. Tought he had a little story to him!
Big fan of all your content, keep it up. Proud of you 🤠
Thank you so much, hope I can continue to deliver :)
These are honestly some of the e best wow lore videos I’ve seen man keep up the awesome work
These are the best WOW videos I've seen. Great Job!!
awesome format!
Sometimes youtube's algorithm is spot on.
You've got yourself a new subscriber!
The content is just flawless, I would like to see Easter eggs in duskwood
This was awesome, I came here because I fined the dead fisherman while leveling an alt through legion and wanted to know if it was here for a reason. Anyways this was extremely relaxing to watch I loved your video!!! Subbed and ringed the bell ^_^
I wished you would get much more views. You really deserve it.
21:47 look at the tent, it is made of human skin ... look closer, the face on it. This kind of tents you can also spot at the hogger camp in elwyn forest
I am loving these videos. Wish I would have discovered your channel awhile ago.
Thank you! Hoping we can get more of these out for ya soon :)
These videos are perfect for my 30 min morning walk
This was an amazing video
This was wonderful! I laughed out loud when you noped out of the black widow spider. Do you plan on doing videos for Shadowlands, once we get flying? There's some interesting content on the ecology and life-cycle of larions (I believe from Nemea, though I'm not sure) as well as all the graves in Revendreth.
Love these videos
the video was sooo cool and fun!!!
Great video
the "roadside cadaver" when you said leaning on the tree after a fight. all I can imagine is Guts if he wouldn't lived after slaying the 100 men and telling Casca to run .
