Actually i like fish & chips. Air fried salmon (8 mins at 185 celsius) with spicy french fries (14 mins). I dont know anything more about english food and i think its better this way.
Portugal has great food! Arroz de Pato and Porco à Alentejana two of my personal favourites! Have lived her for over ten years. Like you Ben am also not a fan of 'salty fish' either 🤣 Do like a good Bifana at lunch time, has to be marinated in the local red wine though! Everything so fresh here. We get our lamb from the Shepard down the road, our chickens are our own, as are our eggs, and the pork comes from down the hill from us (we have just finished eating Tarzan and Ronaldo, yep named, calved up and served up in a nice Feijoada). Nom nom nom. 🥰

If / When you come to the States you should do the Florida Keys. It's a 3 plus hour drive of Islands and Bridges and everyone there is drunk and they have their own flag because they tried to break away from the US once.
I like the part about losing weight when traveling. I can empathize. I have trouble eating heavily while traveling. It's hard enough getting around without trying to cram oneself full of unusual food. I always lose weight.
Lonely ??? What is that ?? 2 weeks no speak sounds like a blessing to me. I spent 4 weeks here where I live and no one spoke to me because I kept myself hidden away and it was bless and total relaxation... this sounds like a job I can enjoy and always liked moving away from people always got a sense of peace. I just love the solitude for some reason. Now don't me wrong I like people and never rude of nasty just like the feeling of comfort I get. Women or ladies; oh well what can I say there but addicted!!!!
I liked the videos from Vietnam and they didn't seem as sketchy as the Philippines. The videos in South America were good on the strange boat that was a light blue. I like the way you start out on a motorbike that's on a highway that dwindles down to a cow path. You could come to America but I would advise not going into Alabama as they don't have that many paved roads, electricity or indoor toilets. Georgia is the place to come for southern hospitality. Grits, ribs and bottled water is on the menu. As you may know, the U.S. does not produce any quality beer with mentioning.
What UK food do you usually eat/crave whee you get back from a trip? For me it's pickled onion Monster Munch....a Melton Mowbay Pork pie, and some twiglets, washed down with a London Pride. : )
