Awesome video brother, so happy to finally see it posted! It's always an honor and a pleasure to get out on the trail with ya. If anyone is reading these comments and is interested in doing the hike I would just reiterate two things. The trail is STEEP, and there are very few if any hikes in the PA mountains that feature open ridge top mountain hiking, so it's a very unique and special place. Still don't know how you found both of the highpoint markers- though you are certainly the man for that with all your experiences on documenting Pennsylvania high points. Had a blast with you and Cole, two absolute class acts, and can't wait to see you out on the next one.... Will be posting my version soon, happy hiking everyone...
Wow awesome video Cliff. The trees were lovely but those views were stunning. A nice long video, enjoy that. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
Great hike!
Funny you mentioned it was going to be ninety degrees and humid soon, that’s exactly what it was in Columbia today. I managed to do an eight mile hike down to the Broad River and back. Your channel got me interested in the outdoors again. Since I started back two years ago I’ve lost 15 pounds and my A1c has dropped. Thank you!
Can't wait to explore Miller Mountain myself. Nice work Cliff!! 😊
Glad you had a good time with your friends. Great hike!
Miller Mountain should be on your list of places to visit soon before it becomes as crowded as Ricketts or the Pinnacle as its high overlooks, rustic trails, location, and features yet to be explored almost guarantee it to become one of the greats in scenic Pennsylvania. Hiking it with these two absolute legends, walking encyclopedias of nature, and all around great company was one I won’t forget and it was an honor to share the trail with them. This video captures the spirit, sights and sounds, camaraderie, and challenge of this hike perfectly. Thanks to everyone who comments, watches, and likes this video as it helps raise awareness of special places like Miller Mountain and supports one of the best PA hiking UA-camrs in the business to keep bringing us fantastic content every week! And shout out to Jeff Mitchell’s whose unofficial but incredible loop he created that can be found online hit all the known highlights on this mountain and was an invaluable resource!
Awesome!
Great hike. Curtains on the windows of the cabin you could move right in.😊 the views were stunning. It would've been a fantastic ski resort. Stay safe as always.❤❤❤❤
That was quite the hike!
Cliff,
Nice hike for you and Walt and Cole.
That is one of the prettiest overlook areas in PA.
Hawk Mt. is also nice but less than 2K feet.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Very cool👍
Torn between the river view and cabin view. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Walt Hey Cole👋
Looking forward to seeing those guys stuff.
God Bless you all.👍🙂🙏
Keep wandering.
Nice
😮❤😊wow on the cabin and that view!!! Thanks for going and videoing!!😊❤❤🎉😮😊❤❤
Awesome place thanks I enjoyed watching
Beautiful nice water to.
Thanks Cliff,
Good views from the cabin.
This is the newest and possibly last substantial land turned public that we may see. I just read the article in the Philadelphia Inquirer, and it's on my list. Thanks for the recon, fellas!
Another really good one!I`m with ya on the way up but my old Ka nees hurt on the down hill gotta get the fixed.
my son and i launched our paraglders from that cabin @ 20;16, way back in 2010ish
We knew that there was paragliding done on the mountain in the past and speculated where they might have been launched from. I can only imagine the absolute thrill of gliding off Cabin View and hopefully like Hyner View State Park it will be open to paragliding in the future once again!
Great Views , I wondering how long it took up and back ? Thanks Cliff
Hey Tim! The loop we followed thanks to Jeff Mitchell’s unofficial but excellent loop trail he has available online it was about 7 miles long and took us roughly 5 hours including stopping to film, photograph, and enjoy the views. You could probably hike it in less time but be prepared for the steep climb that has zero switchbacks and is just straight up the mountain. After that it’s all flat on top and downhill on the way back to the lot.
@@coleswanger Thanks for getting back to me, This looks like it’s going to fun
How has John been, Cliff? Is his foot too bad for this sort of activity? I haven't seen him in any of your videos for a while.
He's struggling a bit, can't do hikes like this.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 so sorry to hear😒
Fabulous views!!! Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed this one. 😀
Sounds like you’re a bit out of shape Cliff. Lots of huffing and puffing!
I thought you posted a video once when someone sent you a drone?
It stopped working.
