@@NannetteSpaceCadet Hello! These can be made to order in your colour of choice and to your size. I'm about to go on maternity leave, so I'm not taking any orders at the moment, but you can sign up to my mailing list and I'll let you know when I'm back at work (should be July 2025) www.byilona.co.uk/mailing-list/
This is my absolute favourite2023 video for SO many reasons! 1. I ADORE this hat and have long wondered how it could be made! 2. I like the lavender you chose even better than the blue original. 3. I was FASCINATED by the way you changed the poupee with rope! I'm always looking for ways to get unusual shapes out of standard blocks. 4. I love swoopy, asymmetrical hats! And this one is especially charming (or bewitching?!) 5. (This actually applies to all your videos -- I just love listening to you. It reminds me of the years I spent living in London and swooning over the hats in Fortnum's and Liberty's! I also adore your "familiar.")
Hi, I hope that you get your rest and are feeling a bit less overwhelmed by now. The world is very crazy for the moment and I think you did the best thing by sharing how you feel and deciding to take a break from it all. We will find stability again in a while. I know this because this isn't my first time around the dance floor. We had a time like this back in the 70's and the again in the 80's. 2008 was a wild year too if I remember it right. I hope that you'll be up for another blocking session soon, because I can't wait to see how the things you did the last time came out, but anything hat related is a treat. Take your time to rest up, and at least I'll be here waiting for you when you're up to coming back. Yours, Ann
Hi Ann, Thank you so much for your lovely supportive comment. I am feeling a lot better now, I clearly needed that break! There will be another blocking livestream soon, not sure exactly when, but soon 😊
@@ByIlonaMillinery Hi, Good to hear that you're feeling better after the break, take the time you need. Anything hat, or anything related really, is fine by me. I'll be here waiting for you when you are back. I'm really curious how that purple felt hat you made on that weird block and you used hemp rope on, came out. I cannot for the life of me figure out what it's going to look like. Yours, Ann
I love this video. I'm always looking for models to transform on the usual blocks and this video helps me make 40s models like those used after the war, small, slightly tall hats to place on the head and hooked onto something to fasten them to the head, I hope sooner or later more videos for these models will arrive, I love them so much. Thank you Ilona, you are the best for savoir-faire and ability to explain
This was delightful from the excellent instructions about blocking to the ingenious way you modified your poupee, to the help of your adorable "familiar"! I also in general love the variety of your lovely manicures in your videos. More on asymmetrical hats and brims, please!
This is one of the greatest videos the world has ever seen. If that's a bit much I'll just say I appreciate the detail and countless practical tips. I never knew how to cut felt before and I've always been disappointed. Thank you so much!
Hello Rob! Thank you so much!😊 I am so glad that you like all the tips & tricks! ❤️I would really appreciate if you share this video with your friends 🙏
Hello Adriana, I am so glad you love my channel! 🎉 I don't make patterned hats very often, but I think @SHMillinery has a few videos on this topic, including her latest one: ua-cam.com/video/qO8I976UHh8/v-deo.html
Hi, This is to feed the hunger of the Mighty Algorithm, and for the very cute hat. Edit: and your nifty technique. I have a dream hat that I've not been able to figure out how to make without having to engage a block maker, and part with some serious money. Thank you. Yours, Ann
I love. you! you are very beautiful and lovely. your videos are entertaining and informative. When I started watching, I could not help but watch more, hahaha. I am a fan of vintage hat and am glad I found your channel! Thanks for sharing. I have subscribed, of course and liked each and every videos I watched. Ps. @@ByIlonaMillinery Thanks for your reply! I just finished my first purple box hat inspired by you. I was thinking of what you would say with my opening sentence. It is true, I love you but not in a romantic way, I know you understand. I thought you are on your early twenties but when you called "husband" then I must be wrong. I have also watched your other videos, I will be subscribing in your dance. I just watch it in my tv that is why I wasn't able to do it. am watching another video of yours right now. Keep up with your lovely work. More power!!!
Your lovely hat turned out fabulous! And the color choice is just perfect. My little lady, Lily 🐈 loved watching Drusilla…..will she be getting a matching hat too 😉
Thank you! And oh my goodness how sweet! Tell Lily that Drusilla says Hi! She's a little to small and too wriggly for hats at the moment, but I'm hoping to make her a collection once she's all grown up ♥️
