I think Victoria Komova has to be my favorite gymnast. I just love her gorgeous lines. I think she shines on uneven bars and the beam. You can see her oversplit and even though she wobbles, all of her skills are just stunning to watch. She is so tiny and so flexible and has so much grace. I think she represent what I would be like as a gymnast (I'm a dancer) She is very hard on herself and strives for perfection. I love how she always has pointed toes and stretched legs when other gymnasts get away with subpar points and technique. I wish you the best of luck Queen Vika and I hope the Olympics in 2016 will not be as hard on you. Keep up the gorgeous work!

Viktoria Komova is one of my favourite gymnasts. I felt so sorry for her at London - you could see how badly she wanted it. As an athlete myself, it is so difficult to know you have spent months and years working towards these routines and then to fall short on the day because of mistakes is very difficult to get over - it'll always be "What if...?"
That floor apresentation ws the better i´ve EVER seen.... it was absolutely graceful, was the apresentation of her life! she gave ALL of hers on it! Komova´s queen!!
Victoria was the best on the Olympic Games.Its program was the most difficult.That it did that on a log is a Fantastic.But it wasn't lucky a little.I wish it the good luck, after all its victories only begin.

The best part about Komova is how much she has grown from 2012-2018. She was really immature sometimes at London, but with 17 years is nothing but expected. Now, 4 years later she was so nicer with other competititors and with herself. That's what I love the most about her
I think that her only major problem in the all-around was her vault. She still came away with a silver. Had she stuck the first landing, she would've gotten gold. (They underscored her on the bars, in my opinion.)

It really was an amazing routine. I felt bad for her though cause I knew she didn't have the difficulty to make up the difference. But what a way to go out, and she still won the silver medal in the Olympics... so many people acted like she lost but geez a silver medal is not something to sneeze at so the saying goes.

I think Viktoria is a fabulous gymnast, especially on the bars. She has a lovely, floaty quality and makes things look easy. While I enjoy watching her, however, her frequent attitude problems make it difficult for me to root for her. It's okay to be sad when you don't win. It's not okay to pout or be rude or spiteful toward others. She's young yet, though. There's still plenty of time for her to mature, and, hopefully, win more medals!

Komova is currently dealing with a back injury and is training lightly. Komova will miss the Russian Championships and the European Championships, but hopes to train well enough to go to the World Championships in the fall. She originally planned to participate in the Universiade, but has now pulled out.
viktoria idk if u will ever see this but a lot of people see potential in you. its beyond the political country war thing n gymnastics. u have a presence that is touching u perform so well but at olympics you were so hard on yourself i know u did not have to give up on that beam. i dont know what its like to have @ train so rigorously physically and emotionally but i can relate 2 you b/c i see myself being hard on me even with my accomplishments n business school. girl, keep your head up (2pac)
