Good question. With both of my CRM templates it’s going to be hard not to go on the paid version due to the size. You’ll be able to use them standalone but not be able to create much more. Where Notion gets most users to start paying is based on number of pages. I’d say if you’re serious about using Notion for your business, pay for the subscription because you’re gonna hit the limit in no time.
Hi Ben, Thanks for building this. I've created my own crm's in the past with Notion but am just coming back to Notion after trying to adopt Obsidian and purchased the pro CRM template to give me a jumpstart. I have a couple quick questions / suggestions. 1) I'd like to be able to create multiple pipelines for things like job hunting, consulting, or gig projects. Is there a simple way of doing so like duplicating the pipeline section or will that break integrations elsewhere? 2) It would have been good if you'd included a deeper breakdown of the additional analytics functionality. I was expecting it to include the business dashboard template you made a recent video about but it looks like it's just the list of analytics 3) Any thoughts on possible ways to either screen scrape / populate fields from say Linkedin? into the database. Have you seen any extensions or capabilities that might enable that? 4) Similarly would be great if there was a simple way to log / capture conversations across multiple channels such as email, whatsapp, messenger, text etc. Any workarounds appreciated, I know you showed an email integration that was somewhat helpful. Extensions to that would be even better. Hope that's helpful, appreciate any thoughts and thanks again for sharing. Maybe a discord for easier comms in the future?
Please book a coaching session. I hope you understand but I can't give out free assistance online all day or else I'd have to go back to a 9-5 😅. calendly.com/optiopp/notion-tutoring-session
Hi there, great CRM, I appreciate all the work you put in. Quick question, how do you integrate your tasks into the wider tasks and projects within Notion? Do you run both e.g. project tasks and CRM tasks, or is it best to modify your workspace so that you have one set of tasks for both projects and CRM things like opportunities?
When you're using Notion with a team, I believe it's best practice to use the same databases for similar uses as much as possible. This helps avoid scenarios that inevitably come up where people don't know where to find what they need to work.
Hey, is it possible to multiply the Amount by Month. My Agency i selling retainer to clients and it would be a gamechanger to adjust this at the Opportunities. So i can see the total Income for this Sale. PS: I Love this CRM Thanks for your work.
Yes, this is how you’d do it: 1) create a number property named month 2) create a formula that is (amount * month) and change it to a currency number type
Hi, I have a question regarding future updates to Notion templates. What will be the process for me as a user to upgrade to the new template? Assuming you have made changes to the template or added in new features, will I be given a new template and I'd be responsible in doing my own data migrations ? Will the migration be tedious and not effective? If I have a large volume of data? If you can make a video on how that is done, would be great. Thanks
You are responsible for the data update. No Notion template creator can promise you automatic updates because we don’t have access to your workspace and it’s not a feature that exists yet. I’ve done this migration several times and it only takes around 30 minutes. You should watch the video on my channel on how to upload data into Notion and go to the 3 minute mark to learn how to transfer data between databases. Happy to put out a video in the future, but might be a bit until I can get to it.
Hi, I would like to know if I have subscription services with my clients and want the system to periodically alert me for those services that are due for renewal eg. a month in advance. Is it possible to do so in this system? Is there a way in which we can pull up client record and be able to view their past purchases and current subscriptions?
Yes, you can create “repeat” opportunities (or change the name to “renewal”) and set those deal close dates for when renewal is up. To view past deals with clients, simply click into the account record and scroll down the page. If you’re creating opportunities correctly, they should be related to the Account and you’ll be able to see revenue won for them all time.
is this really you at the beginning of the video? or is AI generated? btw, I have been following all your videos and updating the very original free version of the template since but only realized you have a professional version now available. I wonder if I'd be able to migrate across as i can see many other features you have avail. Btw, The 20% discount totals $50 dollars or is there a 20% discount on the $50 dollar?
Yes it’s me haha I’ve been trying green screen out because my background is boring where I film. I need to remove the discount, as there is no longer one. It is $50. Apologies, still working out a few links from the launch.
👍 Mate, you are doing a great job with the contents on the video. Your experience as a CRM expert has really shine on the possibilites on what Notion is capable of doing.
Really one of the best crm setups i come across//congrats from 🇴🇲
Thank you! Took a lot of planning and effort to put it together so mean a lot to hear that!
This is a well-thought-out CRM. Great job. I'm looking forward to using the full version soon.
Thank you! Looking forward to your feedback once you check it out.
Hey, really nice work. To use this CRM do I need to Pay for Notion or can I still use the free version?
I’ve been on the Trailhead since 2018, now notion and YOU!! Thanks! I’ll definitely upgrade to the pro ❤
Always love to connect with a fellow Salesforce expert 🤝 looking forward to hearing your thoughts once you upgrade!

You are amazing! Thank you for your reply, I can’t wait to use it!
I'm excited for you to check it out!

Hey there Ben,
Is this updated CRM available to those who have paid for a previous version?
Yes! I will be sending out instructions to paying customers on how to acquire the CRM update via email in the next 24 hours.

And yes, you can easily migrate your data over using the database drag and drop functionality of Notion
Is there any other ways? if I have thousands of records? @@OptiOppNotion
