Last year or so I stumbled upon Phaeleh's Afterglow- album. He has been my top chill/ambient artist ever since. Elysian Fields, ahhh 😍🤧

Phaeleh's music is so good it can get you clogging the speedometer on the road, especially the long distance drives. I cannot recount the amount of speeding fines I have incurred by driving under the influence of such good music.

Been listening to you for years bro. The elysium mix was my soundtrack for years. Complete an utter masterpiece. Seriously. I don't even dabble much upon the same genre. Nothing matches the energy and ambience. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a tebetan mountain just vibing 🙏😅

@@phaeleh oh mate, I absolutely bloody LOVE it. The whole Album is a Masterpiece. There’s only maybe 1 just ok track and the rest are out of this world. The melodies in this album have literally taken over my brain. When I’m watching tv, eating, taking a dump, trying to sleep, I’m constantly humming them, in my head. How the hell do you keep making incredible albums that keep getting better? I’m spoilt for choice on your discography. I was rinsing, tides, the cold in you, lost time, embers, few available tracks from new album, the vault tracks and so much more. I kept seeing Soma Album and was like, yeh , I’ll get to that sometime but for now I must play my favs. There’s no way this album could possibly top your other stuff, and we’ll, I was wrong. Just incredible. Oh, guess who just purchased A World Without from that Polish seller, I told you about? Yes, me ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ mind you, with shipping, it just just short of £100 and while I am a bit annoyed that I had to pay way more then retail, I’m sure you’ll totally understand when I say music is my biggest passion and £100 for an incredible album for ep is so so worth it. Although, I am rather worried that it may go missing in mail. He has around 98% positive rating on discogs but 1 buyer left negative feedback saying he paid a whopping £400 odd on vinyl, it didn’t arrive and he said seller ignored him. Seller just replied, I’m not responsible for the handling of the vinyl. So please wish me luck because if this vinyl arrives, I’ll own all your vinyl cd and MP3. I honestly thought I’d miss out on a world without. I can’t even bloody play my vinyl but I’m trying to work something out. In last month, I spent £215 on your music. I’ve never gone that crazy on any artist, before. I am not looking for any thanks or praise. It’s you that deserves the praise. I just want you to know how special your music really is. Especially after you saying you have really poor vinyl sales. Usually, if something sells poorly, it’s generally not that good but with your music, it’s more down to exposure and being electronic music, you don’t get much and like I honestly think that it’s possible that you may doubt yourself and you absolutely shouldn’t because you are the best. Music is the only main positive I have in my life , right now , poor health etc and you’ve kept me going since around 2010 when I first bought afterglow ft soundmouse. Your music really gives me strength to carry on. Playing afterglow now, has same impact as all those years ago. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely love this one! Just finished the album... It reminds me of your older sounds which I really love. I can tell this will be one of my favourite albums of yours! Thanks so much for all your music, really. It holds a very special place in my heart.

Thanks so much Charlie, I'm glad you liked it. I think this will end up being one of my favourites albums too in the long run. I've definitely worn a Tool tshirt at many shows/streams/interviews so you would have definitely have seen one at some point. In terms of bands, I don't really listen to many if i'm honest besides Tool. Do occasionally listen to stuff like Three Trapped Tigers too, but it's mostly electronic stuff, leaning towards the more ambient!

Pretty much had the album and this track on repeat since the weekend.
The percussion samples are always 🔥 and build such a rich soundscape (did you use a tabla on this track?).

Thanks so much Jonathan, I'm glad you're liking it. Yeah there's tabla on this track (and a couple of others I think), they're all programmed rather than recorded, but I always aim to make these things sound as realistic as possible! Hopefully can play some shows again soon, nothing lined up at the moment.
