The TV coverage is for the network coverage, NBC, so the cameras are not in sync with the audio. This is MUCH BETTER than the NBC coverage. Interviews constantly, this is much better coverage. Edit: To mention the focus on DPi cars, US fans, if you can call them that, only care about who is in the front. They don't understand the multi-class racing. They are more comfortable with NASCAR segment racing. I'm from the US and follow sports car racing around the world. And as a FYI NASCAR owns IMSA. So, some of their decisions can be forgiven.

What's up with the camera crew? The announcers are awesome as always, but it seemed as if the camera operators were asleep at the wheel. For example, why am I watching a side view of a driver while the announcers are talking about another car crashing on the front straight?
The commentators (IMSA Radio) were not necessarily watching the broadcast feed, but rather in the tower calling what they saw from the front stretch tower at Daytona. The camera crew is producing a show for TV.

The only complaint I have about the coverage is the inordinate amount of time they spend on dpi. The whole dpi field will be spread and meanwhile there are close battles for the lead on other classes, yet somehow we're still only watching dpi doing hotlaps.
Truly being at this race live theres always a battle somewhere and it sucks the broadcast doesnt show that. For 24hrs gtd is always close and all the way to the end they fight like the porsches.
Serious question, why does Shae always sound so muffled compared to the other more excitable gentleman you have doing pit reporting? Is she wearing a mask?
Whoever is switching the cameras is doing a fantastically horrible job. Why would race fans want to see the inside of an unmarked cockpit when there are tight battles going on outside? Why are we following battles that are a few seconds apart when the battle for 1st in DPi is neck and neck? Usually the camera switching is great during the Rolex 24, and my normal complaint is about the sound. It's just the opposite this year. What happened?
Wouldn't be so bad if they were actually covering what was happening on the track. Most of their time is talking about off-track and many times not even related to the race itself.
