Love Nate. I wish the Patriots used him more with trick plays. He was a fantastic team player. He made the Olympic team for rugby, that was pretty cool.
As someone in their 30s that spent way too much time hating the patriots dynasty (Peyton fan) I wish so badly I appreciated them more in the moment. Shows like this really help me build that appreciation! What a guy this dude is
As a fan of rugby and American football id say he’s better at American football. The nfl is the highest level of football and the competition is insane . Rugby in South Africa , New Zealand or France is incredibly hard to break into but USA rugby there isn’t that much competition due to most athletes not even living within 3 hours drive of a rugby club !
@@brianodriscoll2725 I'll actually challenge you on the club availability If you live in any metro in the states there will be club rugby. California men's has 8 divisions: 4 Norcal and 4 socal
With all due respect, I think Nate's a better Football player He WON the Superbowl THREE TIMES with the Patriots but unfortunately I don't think he won any major silverware with the Eagles or any pro rugby team.
If you get a sanctioned competition in both in like a 1 year span. So a fight, and grappling tournament. Overall it’s still feels like what an mma guy does already.
The word “sport” is weird there. It’s almost like how people call competitive dance or cheerleading sports. They require a lot of athleticism & are extremely impressive pursuits, something about it just doesn’t feel like a ‘sport’ to me. Same with “combat sports”. I feel like with fighting, especially something where you put as much on the line & open up potential for life changing blows like you do with MMA, it feels weird to call it a sport. I know several sports like football, rugby, hockey, lacrosse, etc also have physics risks involved. When I think of a sport in my mind, I envision a game of some sort where teams or individuals are competing directly, and they alone determine the outcome based on the predetermined rules. Something with an element of judges making determinations like dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, and even combat sports often if there isn’t a decisive knockout or tap out. Then also the element of you and your opponent both accepting that you could potentially kill each other in competition. I don’t know, that in my humble opinion is what I think of when it relates to “sports”
I wouldn’t say so. Grappling skills are an integral subset of the overall MMA skill set. That’s like saying a football player who runs track is a two sport athlete because sprinting is a key component of being a good football player. Technically true but not really. Not to the same degree as being a rugby and football player. Similar sports on the surface, but vastly different in terms of tactical approach and athletic demands

They tried that he tore his acl on a fake punt
Look at Jules’ face after Nate says that he’s never been asked that 😂
He’s like “I’m pretty good at this interviewing thing 😮”
😂

I hate them an don't regret it fuckers took 2 rings from my team
Was friends with this dude in college. Really nice guy.
Rugby is an incredibly fun sport, especially for bigger guys (lineman/linebacker) because they have an equal opportunity to score and make big plays

I like the rugby style punt for flipping the field but when it comes to pinning someone deep a traditional high arching punt is undefeated.
American rugby would be insane!
A great teamer is crazy comin from a SUPER BOWL MVP WINNER
Rugby is more fun out of the two, absolutely highly recommend it
Rugby for me, I do miss football on the occasion though!!
I’m a 100 % heterosexual male but my goddddd this man is good looking😂
Definitely seems like he likes rugby better
Is Jules a better Football Player or Podcaster😂
Nice. I wish I was SO TALENTED that I could choose which sport I wanted to be professional in!! 😂
If rugby had taken over like American football America would be a all blacks level team imo.
Kind of ironic that Jules calls him a teamer xD
Clearly his First love, how can you ask this? 😂
Which one made him more money

Weird question but does a mma guy who also competes in grappling are you considered a two sport athlete?
Think mma is an exception really because historically everyone had a base and it’s by definition a mix of disciplines. So I’d say no
It’s more than two because it combines so many other Olympic sports into one. From judo to karate to wrestling. They practice multiple “sports”

What you think about the All Blacks?
How dare you?
@Gravy494 huh? What? How dare I ask about one of the dominant teams in the sport
@@Gravy494🤣🤣
Dudes a pretty dude with muscles…he’s been asked that lol. What a male hair toss
Talent level in rugby is way lower.
That is such a hilariously wrong thing to say 😂
In the states for sure...
Theres way more rugby players than american football players so how does this make sense?
In America maybe 😂
In America maybe 😂
