Finished the demo. It was freaking amazing. The Nibelheim flashback was the perfect way to keep us busy until the game comes out. They really did a hell of a job on this part of the story.
OMG the scene where Sephiroth stabs Cloud and says 'hollow heart' tore at my heart strings. Poor Cloud, what that boy goes through! Also the scene where Cloud attacks Tifa under Jenova's influence sent chills down my spine. I just pray that we have a nice happy ending in the third part for both Cloud and Tifa as they truly deserve it. I also hope Zack reunites with Aerith!
Cloud stabbed Sephiroth in that scene.
Great reaction! It is amazing how they captured everything perfectly from the OG into this new game and added all kinds of flourishes and substance to even the most simple of things.

I'm really excited to play To Rebirth and do so much of the side stuff with the main story because it's so distracting when you're playing a new game

I just finished watching your playthrough of 16. So this partly has me nervous, but also hyper excited to watch a full playthrough when it comes it!
The thing that sticks in my mind, and that trailer did *nothing* to ease the fear, is a line from MiB 3. "Where there is death, there must always *be* death."
We lost Aerith in the original game. Will we again? Or will it be Tifa this time? Or will they force the player to unknowingly choose like they did with who's resolution you get in Remake? Argh! Scared to find out, but I need to!

id rather not play a demo over 3 weeks before release. Then ill just have to start over again, plus its giving bits of the game in non sequential order. Will take away from the immersion of the first time playthrough.

Nope, there’s a skip option in the full game for the demo section so you don’t have to play it again, and as it’s the flashback section from the very beginning of the game there’s nothing from it that will carry on through the rest of the game anyway, that’s how they can do that.
