I have a few friends over your way, Im picking up my RV-10 tall and emp kit this month. Nice video, I was planning to do videos on my build as well like I do with my other hobbies. Cheers!
Cool video! Thanks for sharing. I fly light sport in California I do some of my own maintenance but would really like to lean to work with sheet metal. So I bought the tool box project from Vans for like $40 but I can’t even figure out all the tools I need to build it! I’m afraid I need $500 in tools to build the $40 tool box. So it’s been sitting for a year. Does not bode well for my chances of ever building an RV-12. 😮
Nice one guys, my partner and I are also looking at building the 12is... how have you found taking the design through with the LAA? Also are you planning on sourcing all of the kit from vans or other (e.g. engine from Europe)
Hi Tony, the LAA have been excellent, they already know of it so it was no drama at all - just get a good engineer, if your wiltshire based Id reccoemend ours. All of the kit direct from Vans - looked at local engine but its alot of agro and for first tiem builders the
@@mtechautomotive Thanks! I've just ordered some tools to tackle the starter project and toolbox then hopefully I'll feel comfortable taking the leap into building the aircraft!
This video will be a big help to builders. Thanks!
Thanks please share it to the Vans groups!

is it more than just a manual rivet gun and some scotchbrite?
How did your squeezer do on the number rivets? I am just started building a RV12IS and the number rivets are too much for mine.

Once you have built one, all you need to do is repeat and sell it. Do it over and over again until you have it down pat.
Great video! - What size / model of Air compressor are you using?
Just a little 25Litre one - seems perfect for riveting!

Even with hearing aids, I can barely hear the person doing whatever he is doing and saying.
