I think the judge misinterpreted plaintiff about the pool guy who informed him about the Suffolk County Pool License. At 2:05, plaintiff says, "I had a regular pool contractor come in ... to repair the damage Tom caused." The judge then angrily asks which one he had do the job, but by the time the "regular pool contractor" entered the picture, the damage had already been done. The plaintiff didn't choose the cheaper of the two to do the job.

Sounded to me like she understood completely. Right after he states what you're quoting, he goes on to say that the regular (expensive) pool contractor came in and told the plaintiff that there's a special license that contractors need to get to do pool work to prevent work such as what the defendant did. The judge was suggesting that if such a license exists, the plaintiff should have looked into and hired someone with such license, and not hired the friend of a friend of a friend on the cheap to do the work from the get go.

Omg when they did the mid show interview questioning, did y'all notice the dude that answered with 'I don't think so, isn't that what a brush is for?', has been interviewed/questioned like this in AT LEAST 3 other episodes?! Its never a good idea to fully drain a pool because in many cases it can compromise the pool structure. Many times the pressure of the water pushing "out" is helping to keep the sides up. In some areas draining the water can actually cause the whole pool to pop up out of the ground depending upon what it is made of. (Ive seen it happen in southern Florida)
