Thank you so much. The beauty of this song is remarkable, and that em9 that James keeps including in his songs has grown to be my favourite chord. That beautiful open sound! ❤️😃
Been cutting away at this tune for a while and it is tough. I like your instruction method of laying it all out there on paper and watching how it is fretted. A real one-on-one session with the admonishment: “ David, go home and practice! See you next week.”
Just wanted to say thank you for making this! I've already got the basic chords down and some bits of the fingerpicking, but your video is going a long way in helping me learn how to play all the beautiful intricacies in this guitar part. I appreciate your precision and attention to detail!
I'll be devouring this lesson over the weeks ahead as yours is the finest example. Whew, I've been searching. In the meantime, what model Taylor is that? I play a 514CE that looks identical. Mine has the older Fishman system which I love for all the variables
10:44 Hey Mitch! Great job brother. I’m literally going to creat a Patreon just bc of this song. Do you have the PDF of this in Patreon? Also, the time stamp they I referenced here are you making an error. It’s 2 and then 3 correct, you say 3 and then 2 for the D right at the end of this measure. Lastly, have you ever made How Sweet It Is by James Taylor? It’s my mom’s favorite song and it’s not easy to play so I’d like to also learn it. Thanks Mitch!
Pretty insane a guy like me watches these videos I'm 64 a guitar hasn't left me yet,I'm 64 and never learned guitar ,even tho I loved the sound as a child, amazing skill to have
I have a notation question from your tab for Something in the Way She Moves. In m7, beat 2, what do they two small slur markings mean before the hammer on in beat 3? Thanks Mitch!
Hi there! Great question, the slur markings on m7 beat 2 mean that the open B note sustains until the downbeat of beat 3 when the open B note is struck again, but this time with a hammer-on. So, first time, let it ring out, 2nd time, hammer-on. Let me know if this helps or if you have more questions, thanks! Best, Mitch
Hey everyone, thanks for watching, don't forget to watch the breakdown and also complete demo at the end, Tabs at Patreon.com/MTGuitar, enjoy!
Absolutely awesome, Mitch! So beautiful and precise. You've given us a gem of a lesson.

Great lesson - definitely can spend hours on specific measures of this song alone
Oh Boy, that‘s really tricky!! Thank you very much for explaining so well! Great Job!!!
Well. I don't know what to say. You play that as good if not better than J T himself. I've played since a young boy and I appreciate your gift.
I appreciate it, thanks.
Just signed up to Patreon super helpful to have the tab

Awesome job buddy
Thanks Kane!
