I'm wondering if the sno-seal would work on a jacket like that. Probably much easier to spread than that weird looking bar of wax. I'm looking around for videos on using sno-seal on jackets and I'm not finding much about it. I also have a Kuhl Burr jacket, and some sno-seal, so maybe I should just try it to see what happens!
I wondered that too- I think it could work, but likely has a lower melting point, would be stickier and not last as long. It would be interesting to test it to see what happens.
Great looking jacket! Haven't tried one on before. You mentioned this is a size medium. Mind if I know your height and weight for comparison? I'm leaning between a large and medium. I'm 5'10" 170 lbs.
I’m 5’5” and when I recorded this I was about 150 or 155 and it fit well, I usually wear Medium shirts. I’ve dropped down to 142 (I quit sugar) and it still fits, but is a bit bigger now.
I am going to be doing this to my burr jacket
Awesome! A word of advice - I had it sit in the sun and it did melt a bit, but then after I posted the video a friend suggested I use a heat gun, which I did, and it worked super well to melt the wax (a hair dryer might work well too). Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@FourAcres Thanks for the video. Are you suggesting to use the heat gun after you apply the wax?
Was it worth doing hows the jacket hold up today?
It’s held up really well- I just posted a UA-cam Short answering your question and showing you the jacket now. Have a great day!
@@FourAcres Hey awesome thanks!
@@FourAcres Hi, would you post the link or title? I searched but couldn't find it.
@@hanshananigan1233 if you search Otterwax Fabric Wax you’ll find it online. Pretty sure I got it on Amazon.
@@FourAcres thanks for replying; I meant your follow-up video on how well your jacket held up. You reference it in another comment.
