Yeah, at least give the guy credit for doing a good singing job in front of all those people! He is hitting all the notes. He was 13 there. Sounds like a mezzo-soprano . When I was 13, I was a high soprano!

0:39 to 0:47 Ever wonder how the world kept non-singers sounding in key in the pre-autotune world? 1. Notice how Danny's vocal is doubletracked (through the whole song). A doubletracked voice hides a thin-sounding voice and makes it sound fuller, and it helps hide the offkey moments. 2. If you listen very carefully between 0:40 to 0:47, you will detect some not-very-smooth manipulation of the pitch, literally by changing tape speed (focus on the instruments and you'll hear it plainly). Bigger labels did this much better and more imperceptibly, but Lion Records was a cheap-o outfit.
Hey man, these performances are really significant to the science of quantum physics, and actually were the basis to theories of multiple universes. And they were so important that theoretical physicists originally thought to name their hypothesis "The Ducevese" in honor of Danny Bonaduce, but they later changed it. Think I'm lyin' -- Google it.

I'm a huge Bonaduce fan, and even I could only take 1:55 of this. LOL. They had a hard time finding an outfit as bad as his singing, but they finally did it!
Ok, It is official, this performance is more embarrassing than the time he beat up the transvestite prostitute after discovering that the prostitute was a dude.
@@RoyPage1970 If that’s the case, then the producers of the show should have had Danny sing lead vocals on some of the songs that the Partridge Family had performed. It would probably bring better ratings for the show when the ratings were declining around 1973 and 1974.
Danny's heart wasn't in it at all. Bonaduce later admitted during The Partridge Family's run his home life was not ideal and he, like "Danny Partridge" was sarcastic and a little jerk. I would love to see clips of his appearances on CHiPs when he appeared as a member of a gang under the tutelage of a corrupted martial arts instructor. Danny is a legit Tae Kwan Do practitioner and it was great seeing him square off with Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox.
I never knew this existed, I didn't know that Danny Bonaduce even put out any songs, I saw another one Yesterday that He did, Feelin' Groovy. I think they're cute, quit the criticism and find something Better to do.😊
He couldn't sing so having him overlape the vocals wouldn't embarres him on stage pathetic. I was watching a movie the other day based in the 70s and a little girl was saying how great Danny Bonaduce's voice was 😂😂
I am honestly amazed that they didn’t let this kid sing when he was a kid he I’m a musician. He is not toned if he sounds really good. He has good town and he sounds good. I’m baffled.
I heard many years ago that Danny Bonaduce's agent and other people thought he was going to be as popular as David Cassidy. They were all delusional! Also he grew his hair longer, trying to look more like David Cassidy. Also note how they covered up his bad singing by adding other voices singing along with him at all times!!
Danny Bonaduce was such an amazing singer he could make his voice sound like three or four voices
That's funny
It hurts me to watch this. Thermal cringe.
Hahahahaha
Elvis never had a chance when Danny dropped his album!
Videos like this is why I like UA-cam
I'm watching this by myself & IM EMBARRASSED! 😂🤣😂
Oh you're not the only one
I always thought he was so talanted being able to sing the lead and backup vocals
This makes the Brady Bunch look metal.
I miss the 70's
Why would people say mean things. I never even know this existed. I think its cute.

I was wondering about that. I was thinking it sounded like it was autotuned, then realized they didn't have it back then. Thanks for the explanation.
I don't think this is even his voice.. I think he admitted a session guy did most of the vocals on his record
There are a ton of layered vocals, but you can definitely hear a child's voice in the mix like at 1:10
This sounds amazingly like the Stylistics' "Stone In Love With You."
He looks like my sister in 1973.
You must have a ugly sister?
We all did.
It's Classic Danny. Enough said. Loved it.
Plant stole his look, persona, charm and perhaps even pants.
HA!
😂😂 think he stole Plant's pajamas & there will be pay back!!
Stupid statement
Great comment! lol! Facts.
Sing It Danny!
Please show this at Danny's funeral, he would want that.
Lmao
You gotta admit that was funny !
@@lburrell1965 fuck yea it was funny! People too sensitive nowadays. I seen this comment and was like yup he would.. Haha
He looks as bored doing this as he will doing that.
😂😂😂
Not Danny Bonaduce singing.
I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t hear it- Danny Bonaduce can sing two vocal parts at once! I’m blown away!😮

Wow- you’re right! How does he do that?!😂
His lip syncing isn't even in sync. 😅
Nice song, actually sung by Bruce Roberts. But, nice try.
With that outfit he must have going after the Gay rodeo clown look.
I like an Oompa Loompa with his own fashion sense.
You can look at Danny see the influence David Cassidy had on him like the long hair for example.
long hair was a thing then.
Enough cheesiness to put Kraft out of business.
Sky Blylevin this comment is life 😂😂😂😂😂
...and Sid and Marty Krofft.
This is too cute!!
Bonaduce reminds me of a young Jim Morrison of The Doors here.
I wish he would find a door here.
No need to add "of The Doors" - people *know*.
Mini Roger Daltry
This guy was a OK singer and the cheeky kind of smile
Hard to say how well he could sing, his voice being buried under the vocals of studio singers through production techniques.
Happy Birthday Danny Bonaduce from I and my family. We hope he's having a fun one.
And just like that, Danny's career was over.
Danny was a brave boy.
I can die happy now!
I’m feeling groovy after this one yeah. Encore Encore
Wow! Thanks :-) This is cute!
Still better than Justin Beiber.
They were saying he would be the next David Cassidy back in 1973
🤣
so the 1974 season was filmed in 1973.......the hair gives it away.
What a nice song not heard it bsfore
He was a brave child.
Loving the outfit...That baby blue is just the perfect contrast with the orange background,
Looks like he still had his pajamas on and they sewed on the fringe last minute
the way Dan just saunters out with that swaggar...brings me to my knees
I bet Danny is fun to be around while stoned on weed! Seriously he is hilarious 😆

He doesn't have the look.
Justin wasn't around back then!
Does anyone else think this is TOTALLY lip sinked

Oh Danny...light blue & white fringe would be better! Totally Awesome!
This was a great example of the corporate music machine trying to make a teenie star out of a TV show cast member. Obviously, it failed miserably.
he never could sing that is why the backup's drowning him out lol
That is why I'm surprised he's even on here singing Shaking my head shaking my head so bad it falls off. I love The Partridge Family by the way though
wow this horrible danny was just not singing here just lip singing, very bad stuff here
My favorite part was when he scratched his eyebrow...
One of the producers of this album told me it wasn't Danny Bonaduce singing on any of the songs..I forgot the kids real name
MrBandsix Bruce Roberts
Yup.... now you see why they used studio musicians to dub for everyone but David Cassidy...

I'd kill for Dan's outfit !!!!!!!!!
That can't be him singing. It sounds like they Milli Vannillied that voice.Donny Osmond he aint
Just read about his solo album it was so bad that rhino records paid kids 5 cents to take it home
His solo recordings are not actually Bonaduce singing-it is someone called Bruce Roberts
joe russo; So he was Milli Vanilli before Milli Vanilli was Milli Vanilli!
Danny was probably inspired by his TV co-star and brother David Cassidy when he had been the big star and lead singer of the Partridge Family
It was the producers of the show that came up with this dreadful idea for an album and this one performance on a kids show

Great HQ sound *Tamborine/maraccas / lip sync - I have both of his 45's
He and Jimmy Page had the same hair stylist. And his brother, Keith Partridge had the same hair stylist as Jeff Beck!
I have this feeling that this sounds like the Stylistics Stone In Love With You
Yikes...what an awful song! Poor Danny..trying to hang on to Partridge family fame..
Oh man needs work sounds like crap!
I wonder what he'd sound like now with his raspy voice?
Overdubbing was huge for people who could not actually sing back in the day.
So cute 🥰! He looks just like my late boyfriend when he was 14!
Happy upcoming Labor Day, this year, wished from myself, towards Danny Bonaduce, Amy Bonaduce, Gretchen Bonaduce, and their families.
They needed the extra vocals and background singers to cover up for his shitty voice
lol his voice is hidden by the backing vocals. Every once once in a while you can here his shaky voice pop in.
Why do I hear more than one lead voice in the song?
Could it be that someone else was singing a better lead?
The Doochman is rockin' the fringe!
"Rockin the Palace" must have been pretty desperate to keep bringing Danny back.... wonder how much longer it lasted on TV after his appearances?
David Lee Roth recently named this video as the inspiration for his stage antics.
