HATED that. That ruined the anticipation and excitement of it all. WEAK!!!

Rory missed several makeable putts, so he could've shot a 60. But he pulled a rabbit out of the hat a few times too, so I guess it balances out. Great round, and it shows what he's capable of, in case people forgot.

Is this one of the greatest rounds we've ever seen on Sunday at The Masters? Up there with Jack's 65 in '86? Faldo's 67 in '96? Rory didn't win, but a bogey-free 64 was amazing
so great to see him get out of tough situations with such creativity. not even close to a perfect round, he scrambled tough and made incredible chips and putts to get out of trouble. when one part of his game didnt show up, the other parts made up for it. incredible round in one of the toughest places to play.

Think the bunker shot on 18 was the best I’ve ever seen. The skill to hit the spot on the green to give that a chance of running down to the hole was just incredible. Rory’s’A’ game beats any other players ‘A’ game on the planet IMO
It's really very simple, if every professional were to play to their absolute best on a given day, Rory would win. Why??? Because he is the most naturally talented golfer on the planet. He doesn't need a swing coach, nor any technical changes to his swing. Rory, just go out there and make it happen, and more majors and wins will accumulate! The only thing he requires is confidence, and the other guys will be playing for second place! Oh and by the way, I'm not from Northern Ireland, but from Durban, South Africa.
Completely agree. I had the fortune/misfortune of drawing him in the British Boys championship at Conwy in 2004, I remember walking off and telling my dad 'i've just played against a future world number 1' Different class even back then

I don't know about "easily", he kind of maxed it out IMO. The putts on 2 and 9 would have been nice, but he did birdie 7 and 8 after wayward drives, holed out from off the green three times, and had excellent scrambling pars at 14 and 17. Incredible round though, the only bogey-free round by any player the entire week and he only had to make two par putts of any length (at 6 and 11).
This could have been easily been a 76 to be fair. He had a lot of things go his way. I hope he can put together a second round like this at the masters next year.
21 putts . I’d shoot 64 if I could take 21 putts but I don’t . Won’t never will. Fantastic round by Rory this will boost his confidence for the other 3 majors. It’s crazy you get less ranking points for finishing 2nd in a major to winning a big tour event. Rory got more points for winning CJ Cup in October.

I think of the putts on 2, 9, 15 and 16. Maybe 15 not so much but I agree it could have been 61.

He had a 8 iron as his second shot on 2 and only made par. Definitely left some strokes out there
