- Ford Escape door series. Replacing the driver-side window glass on a Ford Escape. The procedure is the same for the front passenger window. Applies to years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute and Mercury Mariner
For the rear door window glass: • Rear door window glass... - Авто та транспорт
Finally a video where the presenter doesn't try to be a comedian or acts like he's your best friend. Informative, clear and concise. Excellent work, thank you.
After previewing several videos on this topic, your video was the only one that showed how to actually insert the window, vs all the others that show the glass held up in the track by tape. Your video is complete and detailed. Awesome video and thanks for the extra effort in the details!
Thanks! I try to give as much detail as possible, because doing any of these repairs is probably the first time for most people...they're even the first time for me, as well! Sometimes, I'm tempted to "cut corners" to hurry up and end the shooting sessions (they can go on for a loooooong time and become a real headache), but I have to remember that someone out there really needs help in doing these, mostly because they can't afford to take it to a shop. Thanks for watching!
Even with no sound, it is a good video!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just a few hours ago I sent a rock through my neighbor's passenger door window on their 2001 Escape while trimming my lawn.
My neighbor agreed to me either paying for a local auto glass company to replace the window or find the part and do the labor myself.
This video literally saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you so much!
Wow, HeyRay, what can I say? Glad the video helped, but more than that, glad it saved you money...and kept the good relations with the neighbor. Thanks for watching!
You are the man. Best instructional video. Specially for Escapes. Thank you so much. Please keep going. I have learned so much. Have fix my immediate problems.
Very well done. Accurate information. No stupid music.
Thanks for watching! These videos are just to follow along with while at the vehicle...no entertainment value. Some like it, some don't. Thanks for the compliment
Es usted un excelente maestro.!
Thank you
excellent video. Thank you. You saved me $$.
Always good to save a little money! Glad it helped...thanks for watching!
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!
Thanks, Frank! I hope the vid helped you get your door glass installed. Thanks for watching!
No, it's completely different. After getting your question, I spent this afternoon shooting footage on replacing the rear door window and replacing the regulator (which must be removed when replacing the glass). Changing the rear windows is more involved than the front windows. Will have that vid up in a couple of days!
You should add some Copyright free music it would make it more enjoyable :)
BTY you help me fix a car window Thank a lot, I subscribed.
Very well done video!! Thank you!!
Thanks...hopefully it helped you out. Thanks for watching!
EXCELLENT, detailed video. Thank you. I have a 2009 Escape. Is the procedure the same, or at least similar for this vehicle?
very good video yall done a good job making it.
This is one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Bravo! One question: you cut caulk to remove moisture shield. Did it need to be replaced when you put shield back? I'm gonna go peep a 2010 video, but i suspect yours will be the reference point for the bulk of this project, assuming there are some differences. Thanks for this! It's fantastic.
I have a 2016 Lincoln navigator all I need to know is how to replace the passenger side window not the regulator
Great video thanks a bunch
Thanks, Greg...hopefully it helped. Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the video no doubt saving me money
How would I get to the bolts if I'm at a junk yard removing the window
At 11:37: what is the name of those clips?? Mine are stripped and I cannot find them anywhere! Nice video!
You got?
Is replacing the passenger rear door window similar?
I finished installing the motor assembly, for the drivers window, but I have the backseat passenger side window that is broken to, In fact they broke almost at the same time. Is the backseat passenger side the same? I haven't taken the panel off yet. To buy the assembly it costs just north of $200. Pretty easy to install, but are the two doors the same? Thank you for your time.
Argh! I got glacial-soil grit into the window guide blown there by strong winds. Scored my driver's and rear passenger window before I knew it. I'll have to get glass from a wrecker and flush out both doors' insides.
Dumb question.. can i replace it with plexi glass or acrylic or something?
I suppose you could... But the window is curved and it would be very difficult to match that curve. ALSO, it would be very easily scratched. You should be able to find an actual glass from a salvage yard for a reasonable price.
