You're not your thoughts, you are the thinker.
You are not your feelings, you're the feeler.
The mind is a faithful servant, but a terrible master.
    What is a vessel?
Both a container and a ship.

    This is eerily relatable.
I haven't deliberately put much effort into a certain goal, like building up status or some societal BS.
I rather focused on building myself up internally, fixing the things that are broken, partially by understanding myself better.
...And in that, i was very successful. It is just like it was mentioned. I put a deliberate effort towards helping myself. I imagined it and i did it.
...just as i am putting a deliberate effort towards enjoying my life and existence while i still can.
I haven't really ever put a serious deliberate effort towards any kind of career so far. Or at least only up to a certain point.
I couldn't seem to find anything in society i would like to put a personal effort towards.
None of all that matters to me, thus i just refused to make the effort so far and rather focused on things that i actually care about.

As long as you don't start thinking in lines of "The Secret" Law of Attraction ways, this is a good message. You also need wisdom to realize what goals are worthwhile and what are not. The uninitiated often think that money will solve all their problems. Besides that, another way to put this is: whatever you prioritize, you will succeed in. Often we think we want something but do yourself a favor and journal carefully to find out if you are truly prioritizing that said thing in your every day life. Those things we prioritize should be the first and last things on our minds every day: there should be action every day to further the goal.

Thank you so much for all that you do. Even though the videos you share are someone else's words, your platform is so important and makes a difference. I came onto UA-cam with a certain thing I wanted to look up, actually a lost of things and feeling like I didn't have time for all of them already, but this video was at the top of my feed. For some reason I clicked on it, and it was exactly what I needed to hear in this moment.
I have been so caught up in being a mom to my young kids, for 7 years I haven't had my own life or goals or direction besides being at home with the kids (6.5 and 3.5 yrs old). I have been lost and confused. I have had ideas along the way of directions I might want to go but got caught up in doubt, and burnt out from having no time to myself and not doing anything to fill my own cup. So I keep giving in to the doubts about what direction to go in and whether I can really sustain something if I make a commitment to it. I was uploading lots of hypnosis videos on my UA-cam channel for a while but with homeschooling my autistic 6.5 yr old and having my 3.5 year old also home with us I was so swamped and wasn't sure if it was really making a difference. More doubt. I have put it aside and not been doing much of anything with it. Today was feeling particularly bad with barely any sleep last night.
This video just made it so clear and gave me the reminder I needed, right at the time I was most receptive to actually taking in it's significance. I have no goal, no greater purpose, and so I feel lost and confused and am being buffeted around by the crashing waves of trying to manage my kids and home and putting out fires as they arise, I reactivity. I have heard countless times and known how important it is to have a purpose. But I have felt scared to committ to anything and always had excuses because I just couldn't land on what it was. But when I really looked at it while listening to this, it is so clear that everything stems from the lack of a greater purpose.
And also seeing how big of an impact this video has had on me, has helped me again with quelling some of the doubts I have had about my own channel, feeling like there are already so many people making hypnosis videos and talking about the things I have talked about jn my videos. But the more videos are out there, the greater chance one will reach someone, and the different methods of delivery will appeal to different people, so every voice is important.
    Thank you again!! 🥰💖🙏🏼

As a philosopher who disagrees with the other philosophers the narrator mentioned, relying too heavily on thinking is a trap in itself. Our inner guidance is not only in the mind. It is in the deepest reaches of ourselves that the brain does not have any access to. There are those who are intensely goal-driven who think that failure means forcing harder than before. So they force and force and yet for some reason, the universe doesn't grant them passage. And though the effort they exert in pursuit of their goals is gargantuan, success in the greatest sense eludes them. The mind wants to steer the ship, but it's the soul that has the map, the compass, and the strategy. So the people who succeed the most consistently in the long game are those who have learned to quiet the mind through meditative practices and other forms of stillness, in order to listen to the murmurs of their inner universe instead. These are the people whose inner knowing gives them the faith that they will survive the journey, the courage of clear purpose, and the perseverance to recognize failure is a vital step along the way.

The mind cannot override emotions, it is imperative to learn to process the things that get in your internal way of your goals. You can’t muscle your way out of fear, doubts, it’s much easier to learn the other law of processing emotions and using them as guides toward your successes, whatever they may be. Mind emotion must work in tandem, not against one another

@@JohnDoeagtfdyutasgdjak I have a degree in research psych and used to mod things. I got my start as a tester and made my way through the producer / writer ranks... then designed after that. It's a lot of hard work, but rewarding. The best way to get in is to make a mod a current game or make a gameplay demo with Unity or Unreal. Some guys get their start reviewing games, too. If you can explain why a game is entertaining or frustrating, that's a good start.
Now, colleges offer game design courses and majors. So you can learn there, too. There are even some mini-boot camps where you can learn iphone back end programming in like 6 months.

This speech by Earl was an incredibly eye opening introduction to the power we hold within us to craft our reality with The Creator.
I say this from personal experience where I’ve spoken my reality into existence by just reminding myself daily of how I wanted to live my life.
This in turn, allowed me to align the actions and the choices I made to be in resonance with the ‘reality’ I desired to experience.
Sending everyone here peace and blessings on the journey 🌊

Of all my failures in life, it is realizing what it is I want from it, that troubles me most. I seem to fully grasp the concept, scream "eureka!", and then lose sight of it. A grand sense of devavu plagues me each time I rediscover this most basic, yet deeply profound notion. It's as though I can't be positive enough to believe it really is this easy to change your life, your circumstances, your state of mental health. I feel like I haven't truly figured it out, that only through anguish, suffering, internal turmoil, and despair, will the answer be fully realized. Almost, but not exactly, as though, I somehow deserve this. That only through the misery, will I truly grasp the deeper meaning of life. Which is, I guess what I want more than superficial happiness... A deeper, no, the DEEPEST..... level of understanding. Thanks Earl. At least I know WHY I torture myself so.....

Yep, I agree with this, and there's one big challenge once you want to implement this in your life.
It's not so easy to really know what you want and what is good for you. It turns out that a lot of desires you have are in fact social or family conditioning, and if you achieve them, they might even make you miserable. So, the real challenge is maybe not really to achieve something, but to truly find the goal that is aligned with your life's purpose.
Thanks for this video and I wish you all the best!

  • @Partysize2

I liked his statement about the importance of goals. This worked for me. I set goals with exact dates for final achievement of them. They were 5 year goals, on the theory you cannot achieve great things quickly, because you will experience short term failures and obstacles to overcome in order to meet really significant goals. Goals like: educational level, buying your first car with cash, buying your first home, fully paid-up home, high dollar amount of savings and investment, exact retirement date, and more. You have face the fact that, here and now, success is measured in dollars and property. These two things will make you comfortable for sure, and happy if you share it in some way.
