Today I will introduce to you the most beautiful village in Japan "shirakawa-go".
Shirakawago is a place that preserves the ancient Japanese landscape located in Gifu Prefecture, central Japan.
In 1995, the village was registered as a world cultural heritage site along with the village of Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture.
At Shirakawago, you will have a day to experience traditional Japanese culture. Do you want to come here to experience the leisurely time that can only be found in the Japanese countryside or enjoy the architecture preserved from the past? ★How to get from main cities to Shirakawago. If you go from . Tokyo, Osaka, it should be noted that you have to change trains.
1.From Kanazawa
From Kanazawa it is very easy to get to, there are direct buses. From Kanazawa Station, you will board the Nohi bus "Takayama ~ Shirakawago, Kanazawa line", get off at Shirakawago (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes, 2,000 yen).
2.From Nagoya
There are also direct buses from Nagoya. You will board Gifu Bus's "high-speed Shirakawago line" from the Meitetsu bus stop in front of Nagoya station, get off at Shirakawago (approximately 2 hours 40 minutes, 3,900 yen).
3.From Tokyo
From Tokyo, there will be no direct trains or buses, but you need to change trains and cars once.
From Tokyo station, you will take the Hokuriku Shinkansen line, get off at Toyama station or Kanazawa station (about 2.5 hours ~ 3 hours, 12,730 ~ 14,120 yen). Change to Nohi bus “Takayama ~ Shirakawago, Kanazawa line”, get off at Shirakawago (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes, 1,700 ~ 2,000 yen).
4.From Osaka
From JR Osaka Station, you will board the Tokkyu Thunderbird line, get off at “Kanazawa Station” (approximately 2 hours 40 minutes, 7,650 yen). Then change to Nohi bus “Takayama ~ Shirakawago line, Kanazawa”, get off at Shirakawago (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes, 2,000 yen).
