I have a 3.8 unweighted but a 4.3 weighted as a junior. 1210 on my SAT (only have taken it once so far) but I’ve started 2 successful businesses, have been recipients of multiple awards, have many leadership roles, am involved in 13 clubs, volunteered 250+ hours, and play varsity volleyball. I think I have a good shot just because of my well rounded abilities, but I’m still nervous!
Very helpful. This is exactly the answer I was hoping for. Ik my act score will def be my weakest point of entry but I have a decent gpa at around 3.6. And involved in several EC such as football, Deca, and Boy Scouts. I plan on taking to the act in April for the first time. Wish me luck 👌
ok my GPA is around a 3.2 ~ 3.3 ish, I have a lot of extracurriculars and awards from state completions and I took some APs and DE. I applied test optional. I just applied :,) I’m so nervous this is my dream
I have a 3.4 gpa right now and a 26 act so pretty close to your grades. Over the years my yearly gpa went from a 2.8 to a 3.7 so I’m hoping they like this improvement and I get in. I find out the end of this month and I’m so nervous!
Esther Reyes I took classes that were higher levels the years after and I really disciplined myself and took the time to study. The lowest grade I got after freshman year was an 80 so I made sure I had at least a B or above
Thanks for the video! I feel a lot more confident now because the only thing that's really lacking is my ACT (it's a 28, which still isn't too bad) but I have a lot of clubs and organizations like Band, NHS, and Mu Alpha Theta.
thanks for the great video im on the same boat with all my stats I hope my extracurriculars can outweigh my test score. I will be applying early decision 2 wish me luck!!
i have a great rank and GPA, im ranked 2/380 and i have a 99.6 GPA out of a 100 point scale and a 4.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale. my first SAT however was horrible, i got a 1070 💀 hopefully i can raise it to at least a 1300 by August if this whole corona thing leaves. i have pretty good EC’s tbh. hoping i have a chance at this school but if not no biggie. do you think there’s a good chance though?
Good man Danny, are u in human kinetics by the way? What’s the name of your program. Also jw as a side note, are u thinking of going towards movement science or sports management type stuff. Atleast that’s the divisions of the program I’m aware of where I’m located
@@andrewharris-8091 I don't know if you already decided on a college, but Umiami gives really good financial aid now (100% need met) an because it's a private school, in state and out fo state actually costs the same amount.
i have a 3.0 gpa but i have super high sat and act scores, do you think i have a chance ? i don’t want to apply if i’m guaranteed a rejection letter, i wish i tried harder freshman year bc this really is my dream school 🥺
hi danny, I love your vids and the um is my dream school, soo I wanted to ask you if you know how much mark I have to get on the TOEFL to got into the um, being an athlete. I wait for your helppp, thanks
Hi, Is that possible to get into UM without passing SAT or ACT exams? I am really good at both of them but no institution in my country holds those exams and I have to travel abroad to take them|: and it is really expensive for me):
I couldn't help but comment on this. You should be very proud of your high school performance. If you were taking AP classes and still getting those grades, you should not be thinking of yourself as an average student. That is definitely above average.
when university of miami is my dream school but i’m not book smart

I am in athletic training which deals with the medical side of sports similar to a team physio
when he said 3.4 gpa i was like wtf but then he said "lots of AP classes and I was in IB" ...
got it right !
I wanna go to Miami but I’m out of state🙃
Can always visit!
It's Danny how do scholarships work? I want to find a way to go

Hey I’m a senior my unweighted gpa is 3.36 and my weighted is 4.41. This year we don’t have to submit sat/act scores what do you think the chances are
it depends on so many other things

Honestly I don't know much about it just because I never did it. But I wish you the best of luck !
It's 92 to 93 points the minimum for TOEFL score
Can you do a video on your experience at the summer scholars program?? I’m really interested in it but wanna see if it’s worth the money
Trust me worth every penny. Everything about i was great.
I'm applying to UM as a Fall 2019 transfer. What's the financial aid like?

I think it might be optional, but not 100% sure.
Do you know how they process military students ?
Honestly no idea
and then just have rich parents to pay for it!
😂😂😂
I'm applying ed2 with 3.7 GPA and 1380 sat, but i am international student and I am also applying for need based financial aid, do I have chances?
it depends, but best of luck !
I'm 100's
😫😢😰
Can you get a single dorm for your freshman year ?
Bruh I gotta 3.3 unweighted gpa and a 30 act but my counselor said I’m probably not gonna get in like bruh how
don't let anybody tell you that you can't do something !
How many years of language do you need?
None, I chose to do a language. You have to complete something called cognates.
How much scholarship did you get?
Does miami university requires sat or act
or it's optional ??
I think because of COVID they made it optional
