Most reviewers recognize that aesthetics is subjective and would not flat out not recommend a fan only because they personally don't like the way it looks. If Corsair actually made a ML RGB fan with similar outer ring lighting as the HD and the inner ring like LL/ML RGB (current ML RGB series) then that would be the best RGB fan out there, even though the 2 best RGB in the market for just lighting alone and something what most would agree on are HD/LL series. Other manufacturers do not compare to corsair in the RGBness of the fans and paired with the fact that corsair has more of a variety of computer related products than any other manufacturer and that they are releasing Corsair Sync it which sync's peripherals and case lighting together they are the best IMO but the ONLY bad thing I have to say is that they NEED to improve the RGB on their RAM as it needs to be individually controllable LED's like GSkill

Can Thermaltake software be used with Corsair fans? Corsair looks better, but thermaltake software has a mode that reacts to sound and music which looks awesome with RGB.
Whats the lowest number of revolutions you can get with the SP 120? My ones are way to loud on a B350-f from Asus and I'm not able to controle them lower?
i just got the ll120 white series fans, goes from 260 to 2500 rpm. 2500 rpm is very loud. What will cool my pc for ll120 2500 rpm or ml120 at 1500 rpm. Forget noise.
You can mix LL and HD but they won't work perfectly just good enough. In corsair link just set all fans to hd120 and it should work. Just understand that its hard for one controller to recognize to different fantype that have 12 vs 16 led's if that answers your question.
ragging just bought ML fan on ebay. The seller advertised them as ML's when I open the box found out they were 3pin SP140's. has anyone used a build with 2 ML'S 2 LL and 2 SP's . I was going for 2 LL as intake fans in the front of the PC and then 4 ML as Push Pull. I just dont know if commander pro will be ok with 6 different fan connectors and how air flow will be with ML and SP as push pull. The ML have this nice rubber finish on corners where SP dont have anything to stop noise vibrations
you need the corsair lighting node pro to be able to control the lighting or have lighting affect at all. You have to connect your fans to the corsair lighting node pro and you control the fans through the Corsair ICUE software
I was hoping some mention might be made of the differences in performance. I want RGB fans for use with watercooling but 'high performance' is typically not the same as 'high static pressure', and the later are preferable for how I intend to use them.

LL120s in white are apparently out of stock around me.. I dont wanna pay corsair 50 bucks with shipping for a single fan. I bought one from amazon Last year late December but after just now buying the node AND commander pro I find out this fan is defective and only shows blue and green color, no effects either..
I watched 10 reviews of these fans why the does no one mention can you set a static color???? can you set a different static color on the inside ring???
hey i need your help again please! how you know i already got 2x 120LL fans and i dont have any controller so the rgb is not lighting up... can i connect LL120 and ML120 to the same lighting hub?
I bought into the Corsair line.. Some regrets.. my build could be so much more powerful had I not spent my budget on Corsair RGB everything. H100i pro rgb, 6 HD 120's, 2 HD 140's, Vengeance RGB Pro RAM, Lighting node pro with LED strips. My case looks fuckin' sweet tho so I got that going for me at least. I bought all the HD fans for $176. They were all certified refurbished from Corsair. $60 for 3 HD 120's triple pack and $56 for 2 HD 140's dual pack, all with controllers..
That’s not Corsairs fault, that’s your decision at fault. HD fans are not as good as the LL nor the ML, just preference on looks. Also the H100i Pro waterblock was made by a different company, should of got the H100i Platinum RGB, it has a wider footprint and quicker water pump.
SumTing Wong I didn’t say they didn’t... I just said the HD isn’t as good as the LL. But of course the ML is better than the LL. Try reading a bit better before reviving a 7 month old post.
@@itllBuffGaming You need to proof reading your statement. You said "HD isn't as good as LL". HD is better than LL in performance and look. LL will lose half of its led when mounted as intake while HD doesn't. LL is only good when mounted as exhaust. HD with its transparent frame makes the light brighter in intake and exhaust position. HD have better airflow cfm and static pressure than LL for rad and intake. You can compare those two straight off Corsair site. LL: 43.2 Airflow, 1500 RPM, 1.61mm SP HD: 54.4 Airflow, 1725 RPM, 2.25mm SP
SumTing Wong The Corsair website is also wrong, and in testing the LL is actually better in performance than the HD fans. According to Corsair website, when the LL was released they claimed they was better than the ML, and the platinum pump was better than the PRO but they’re the same. I don’t need to proofread anything. You need to stop listening to manufacture specifications and actually test things yourself or watch multiple test videos before correcting someone. So please... let this 7 month old conversation go and fuck off. 7 months later there is MANY better options than the HD and LL fans, so who gives a shit.

No. The ML and SP only have 4 LED's on the inside/hub. The HD has 12 LED's around the outside ring only. The LL has both the 12 on the outside ring AND the 4 on the inside hub. One thing unique about the HD's are the lights are visible from the sides.

Thanks for pointing that information out! That is actually the information I wanted to know. I want my fans to work well with a radiator first and looks are only a secondary consideration.
And then you have ml120 pro blue.
Package Quantity Single Fan
Speed 400 - 2400 RPM
Sound Level 37 dBA
Power Draw 0.299 A
Static Pressure 0.2 - 4.2 mmH20
Fan Airflow 75 CFM
I have corsair memories and the icue program does not recognize it to be able to configure the leds, I have installed several versions and it only recognizes the motherboard
Can Thermaltake software be used with Corsair fans? Corsair looks better, but thermaltake software has a mode that reacts to sound and music which looks awesome with RGB.
No,all Corsair products are iCUE proprietary
i think the HDs look the best with how the light is defused on the blades instead just on the ring/s
Using a Corsair 3/1 cable can you get the Corsair fans too sync with Aura Sync
Whats the lowest number of revolutions you can get with the SP 120? My ones are way to loud on a B350-f from Asus and I'm not able to controle them lower?
I’m going to use the icue 220t with 5 ll120s and the radiator for my msi sea hawk x
i just got the ll120 white series fans, goes from 260 to 2500 rpm. 2500 rpm is very loud.
What will cool my pc for ll120 2500 rpm or ml120 at 1500 rpm. Forget noise.
But which is best for radiators?
Can anyone advise?
ML
Oddly enough max air flow wise the HD series still rain surpreme . Kinda wish max rpm was not gimped on the LL fans
That case is a real looker!
i love this comparison!!!!!!!!! please please more depth please, i.e. sync with led strips, mixing LL with Ml with HD !!! etc....
Mixing isnt possible without 2 controllers :/
so u need to buy a starter kit for each ll, ml, hd fans. scammy Corsair
You can mix LL and HD but they won't work perfectly just good enough. In corsair link just set all fans to hd120 and it should work. Just understand that its hard for one controller to recognize to different fantype that have 12 vs 16 led's if that answers your question.
This is fantastic
How do these compare to the TT Riing Trio and TT Riing Quad fans?
So, which are static pressure? What's the CFM, dBA?
You are great... Hi from Italy!
Great video
That fucking intro music is legendary
ragging just bought ML fan on ebay.
Great Review, thanks!
Any recommendations for cheap RGB fans that allow software control through the motherboard out of the box?
You'd want ones that have motherboard control. Coolermaster have the masterfan RGB
Checkout Deepcool 3 in one rgb package
Hi! I would like to buy this HD 120 but do i have to buy an extra remote or anything to control the RGBs etc?
you need the corsair lighting node pro to be able to control the lighting or have lighting affect at all. You have to connect your fans to the corsair lighting node pro and you control the fans through the Corsair ICUE software
Should I buy the h100i platinum then replace the fans with hd 120’s?
The h100i platinum comes with RGB fans,sooo...
I was hoping some mention might be made of the differences in performance. I want RGB fans for use with watercooling but 'high performance' is typically not the same as 'high static pressure', and the later are preferable for how I intend to use them.
My favorite Corsair RGB lighting.
HD
LL
MLL PRO
SP
ROFL, that fucking massive CPU cooler
Random question, but what desk speakers are those?
Should i change the SP 120's in the Corsair crystal 570x (white) or should i get HD120's ?
Definately swap out the SP's I'm going for LL120's in the mirror black 570X
Could u pls make another video and put them next to each other to compare
all but the HD ? :(
HD were clearly the best. wow
I fucking hate that intro but love your videos xD
Love the intro.
can i use sp and ll fans in one case and control them together?Or do i have to use either sp or ll to control them together?
will this work for the lighting node CORE?
If ill conect 120ll fans and 140ll to 1 controller, it will work correctly?I have 570x case and not sure if ill put 3 120ll in the front ,2 140 on the top ,1 140 on the back, will they glows synchronously ?
Yes,if you plug them in the order you put them in ur case
Can i use a nzxt fan controller instead?
No point to
What's the name of the PC case?
In a Corsair 460x , what i need to run 6xhd120 or 6xLL20 fans correctly with the corsair link ? Commander pro ? 2 Lightning nod pro ?
Either for the RGB. Commander Pro for RGB and fans speed. (You need the fan RGB hub that comes in a starter kit too)
How much difference in temperature when using ML fans over LL fans?
I think its your mom
LL120s in white are apparently out of stock around me.. I dont wanna pay corsair 50 bucks with shipping for a single fan. I bought one from amazon Last year late December but after just now buying the node AND commander pro I find out this fan is defective and only shows blue and green color, no effects either..
I watched 10 reviews of these fans why the does no one mention can you set a static color???? can you set a different static color on the inside ring???
Yes to both
PC Centric Thank you!
hey i need your help again please!
how you know i already got 2x 120LL fans and i dont have any controller so the rgb is not lighting up...
can i connect LL120 and ML120 to the same lighting hub?
will it work?
No, you'd need a lighting node and two different rgb fan Controllers for that to work.
Which studio monitors are those?
@@itllBuffGaming LL sacrifice performance for look.
LL: 43.2 Airflow, 1500 RPM, 1.61mm SP
HD: 54.4 Airflow, 1725 RPM, 2.25mm SP
SumTing Wong The Corsair website is also wrong, and in testing the LL is actually better in performance than the HD fans. According to Corsair website, when the LL was released they claimed they was better than the ML, and the platinum pump was better than the PRO but they’re the same. I don’t need to proofread anything. You need to stop listening to manufacture specifications and actually test things yourself or watch multiple test videos before correcting someone. So please... let this 7 month old conversation go and fuck off. 7 months later there is MANY better options than the HD and LL fans, so who gives a shit.
i think the HD look the best with the RGB options
if I get the LL's and only get the lighting node pro do the fans just run at some default speed or what?
To control the lighting you need a Lighting Hub and a Node Pro or Commander Pro.If you don't use the Commander Pro,you can plug the PWM cables into your motherboard's fan headers
Which monitor do you use on a daily basis? What is your favourite monitor?
Answer to both: LG UC99. But for gaming the PG348Q :)
PC Centric thanks!
How to control fan speed of ml120
2:48 what effect is that?
usefull cheers for the future, and itz realy time to get a new pc for me, mine is half a decade old, could use some help if any1 knows ive just got a new graphics card but it diden´t solve my pc problem, i can boot up the system fine but i dosen´t go past the "loading windows" screen any sugestions what the problem can be is appreciated,
daniel arvidsson What version of Windows do you have?
windows 10, pc started acting wierd after latest update, before it was working fine,
is it possible to have 2 controllers for the rgb? is it going to have sequential effect to be correct? because i got 7 hdfans
Yeah,u plug 6 fans in one of the lighting hub, then the PWM into the Commander Pro(not necessary,u can plug them into your motherboard),then u plug the lighting hub to ur Lighting Node Pro or Commander Pro.After that, plug the last fan into the 2nd lighting hub, then that hub into the 2nd channel on your Node Pro/Commander Pro
ML and LL rgbs on both side like the HD's?
No. The ML and SP only have 4 LED's on the inside/hub. The HD has 12 LED's around the outside ring only. The LL has both the 12 on the outside ring AND the 4 on the inside hub. One thing unique about the HD's are the lights are visible from the sides.
FINALLY SOMEONE ANSWERed this. been looking for this answer forever lol. Thank you
Can the SP120 be controlled by the lighting node too?
Yes
it won't allow for it to be all that colorful like the ll120 though huh?
MLs seem great.
Which is most silent?
All of my fans freeze. Helppp
