I just got the game and added some 50 mods including NIArms and all CUP/RHS/etc mods and I barely have 40 gigs used. Meanwhile other games these days clock in at 80 gigs minimum. It's not really *that* bad.
Henry Klee That's because the RHS content is meant to only work with other RHS content, whereas CUP is using vanilla scripts and such which makes it better in case you want to run more mods at the same time. Is your unit purely interested in US Army/Russia and willing to download more mods if necessary? RHS is the way to go. Do you want to be able to make various scenarios without having to change the modpack as well as be able to make your own mods? CUP. Though I admit that it's not an easy choice to choose between those two. After several years of using RHS, SMA and ton of other mods our unit has recently switched to CUP and it suits us very well.
toadie2k are the reload animations for NIArms still scuffed. I mean I haven’t played with them in about a month but when I left them all Assault rifles didn’t have reload animations and so I stopped using the mod.
The 7.62 SCAR in the SMA mod is hands down my fav mod weapon in the game! Such a badass pop and report from it. Ni-Arms and RHS, all very good stuff but SMA - for me - is always loaded on my list.
I like RHS's 7.62 Scars more because they are kinda more colourfull,SMA's Scars are a bit too dull when it comes to colour but however they still do the job right.
Another great video mate. Entertaining and informative too. If I had to make a suggestion though, there are some pretty long segments where both the camera and the subject are constantly moving. Might just be a matter of taste, but I find it a bit too frenetic. Maybe you could break it up a little with some more "locked off" shots? Particularly for a video on weapons, a few slow, panning close ups might slow things down a bit and then the contrast would make the action sequences stand out a bit more as well. Again, just my two cents mate. Keep up the fine work! Hope you're getting some sleep :)
The Russian uniforms in the RHS pack always looked off to me. It's like they came from the 1960s while the US uniforms were all up to date. Just a personal thing. I like that RHS split up their packs though, makes it easier to pick and choose
The British weapons that resemble M4s are not actually American. They are instead Canadian C8 Carbines. The C8, although nearly the same, are generally better suited for cold weather than the American rifles off which they are based.

The problem with CUP is balancing. Most of the cup rifles are way to accurate (I'm talking 0.2 Mil for a short barrel M4). They feel unrealistic and have very low recoil. The CUP AK109 with the Vanilla AK12 mags has 901rpm, absolutely zero recoil and downs heavily armored infantry with 1 or max. 2 hits.

Ha, whats funny is I JUST, like no shit a week ago, discovered that this was a thing on UA-cam. It takes maybe 5 minutes to setup, I'm not sure why more UA-camrs don't use this feature. I appreciated the hell out of it when I found it so I will from here on out be using them. :)
Be aware, RHS's Russian Faction under ACE medical has 6b13 steel armour. It will stop normal 50cal rounds. Only SMA weapons can cause effective damage to people who wear it.
I have been playing modded arma for a few months now and i wish i would have watched more of your videos when I first started! Luckily i had a friend who told me about RHS and a few other good mods But in this video i still found atleast 2 good Mods that me and my friend will play around with and will enjoy, Thanks man!
As a sniper I would have loved a full sniper only mod but seems it's not out there, still I have cup and rhs and my wet sniping dream became true in this game. This is why I fell in love with arma

Gabriel is right, I do use Blastcore. However, the shock wave you're seeing is called Blast Refract and it's not on the workshop. A subscriber recommended it to me, you have to download and install it manually and load it as a local mod, but that's pretty easy. I’m the only one who doesn’t like SMA? I’m a NIarms fan. BTW, the SPS Weapons are awesome, HK416/417, AI AXMC, LAC LW-AMG and recently the VP9 are superb.
Not every mod is for everyone. Admittadly, SMA's lack of variation of weapon sounds keeps me from using it on the regular, but it's still a great mod! Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check these out!

Idk man. Between cup and RHS it's a tough choice if I had to choose only one. Cup has some decent rail attachments that RHS doesn't offer. I honestly just use both the main go to for our group of friends has been tier 1 weapons ever since we found that mod a few months back. Love the M-lok handguards and it has the money at up to date optics and rail attachments.
Both CUP and RHS are amazing creators and provide very solid mods. The only reason the split exists is because of the sheer amount of duplication you get if trying to run both. Quite honestly I like the weapons in RHS better, but CUP has better mechanics for their vehicles and far better uniforms, at least when it comes to Russian forces.
I don't get it.. I unstalled all these realism mods but even if I only enable 1 no server allows me to join anymore... What's the point of mods if.you can't use them online..
My personal favorite weapon mod is the Russian Alpha AK by SweetJason... it is a perfect representation of what the AK can be and is very capable at close to mid range definitely worth the download and it has a cool backstory.

Hey Viper, I've installed quite a lot of mods from Steam workshop (mostly from your recommendation) , after I installed mods and lauching the game I got an error message. "Addon "cba_common" requires addon "A3_Data_F_Mod_Loadorder" After clicking ‘okay’ the game crashes. Is there a way I can resolve this issue?

Not a stupid question at all, in fact its a very good question that I should have mentioned in the video. Most of the mods come with their own ammo types, however there are compatibility mods that allow ammo from a certain mod to be used by other modded weapons, for example most weapons mods have an RHS and CUP compat mod that allows their mod to use RHS and CUP ammo. Servers really only tend to run one or the other to help mitigate mod mismatch and ammo issues, though.
anyone knows how to fix the lag/ stuttering on Arma 3 Contact and Arma 3 Old Man??? only these two i got lag and stuttering but the rest of the missions campaign are running smooth.
DCS is the best flight sim out there, hands down. If you're looking for some great ground combat and some so-so air combat (but still fun), Arma 3 is there for you lol.

NIArms, CUP and RHS all come with their own attachment sets.
