And to be fair, his channel name is "MOC" your bricks, but most of the videos recently have just been him building custom sets from 3rd party companies... I really miss his custom creations like the expanded Barracuda Bay shipyard, or the custom castle made from two of the 3-in-1 set.
@@sonofeyeabovealleffoff5462no at the time number of guns classified a ship 38 for a frigate 30 guns on the gun deck the moc has 18 on her gun deck thus a sloop of war or corvette in the French navy
@@lukedelport8231 not really. Where did you get 38 guns from? Thar puts you in the upper-half for 5th-rates (and close to a ship of the line in Tudor-classifications). You're also only counting broadside-guns, wich would START a frigate by over 40 guns, by your definition. Going by the Royal-Navys rating system, of the Georgian-Navy, we have here: 18 guns on the gundeck, 4 on the quarterdeck and 2 chasers wich gives us a total of 26 guns. Rating for ships (as in actually classified as a full ship and thus in need of a rank-captain) starts at 6th-rate, with the requirement being "just" 20 guns. So this one is defenetly rated. Since it is fully ship-rigged she'd be AT THE LEAST be classified as a post-ship. Post ships vary in their number of guns somewhere between 20 to 24 guns. However, the MOC has more than 24 guns. Incedentely she has the same number of guns as HMS Medea, wich was classed as a frigate. Thus: Yes, the ship can be called a frigate. Additionally: the term "frigate" varies heavily over the course of history. Ships like HMS Drake (built during Cromwells time but she lived to see RN-service as well) was built with just 14 guns and still considered a frigate because of her rig and her role in the navy.
Great MOC, love it, but next time please put some sails on it. Also do you think you could do a US frigate of the 18th century like the USS Constitution please and I ask once again to put some sails on the MOC if you do build one.
Unfortunately I had a problem with my second order. They sent me the wrong set and haven’t responded to my emails other than the 1st where they asked what was wrong and wanted pictures. 10 days later and still no response despite several follow up messages.
Great build! Hey when is the next update to the blue coat flagship? And by the way the silent Mary had 2 gun decks in the movie so if you do another silent Mary moc please do it with 2 gun decks.
Welcome back. I miss your ship builds. I was hoping if you could do some Chinese junks, Japanese red seal ships, or Korean turtle ships. We have already seen tons of European ships in your channel. Thanks for your awesome builds.
Cpt. Jack Aubrey like this! Some wrong colours, but the design has very strong "MASTER AND COMMANDER" vibes - it looks very close to the design of HMS Surprise.
i'm building the hms Brilliant from Godbricks...and it's horror 😅It looks beautiful, but the build itself is very very fragile. and i also have around 200 missing pieces...very bad quality check from godbricks
Great video! However, i do really miss your personal MOCs! Please get back to building them! I'm still waiting on a Flying Dutchman! 😉
True!
Couldn't agree more. Ik we cant force Moc Your Bricks but we are really missing the Dutchman

@@BDD_Builds Yeah, definetly
I want him to make a British Man of War with 3 decks of guns
You know that we need a Flying Dutchman
The stern is beautiful !!!!!
You keen star ? 😄
Lovely mode of a ship rigged sloop of war it also looks more structurally sound than the last moc
That's a frigate, not a sloop. Sloops are much smaller.

Great video! I would like to see more of your personal mocs though.
Im begging, please do the flying dutchman next it deserves love, and i feel as though you can do it justice
The vessel reminded me a bit to the H.M.S. Surprise from the movie master and commander
The end result is stunning, but it looks so flimsy my anxiety is flaring
Flying Dutchman when?
Came back after a year since the Queen Anns Revenge. I’m dying to see the Flying Dutchman still
It would be really cool to see a moc of the hms beagle. Anyway great video!👍

Can you do a collection video? I wanna see how you display your ships

It's a shame... Some pieces are not clipped well enough, it's a bit frustrating lol
